  1. 31-29  Buna

Crazy alley opp three pointer from buna to end the half

Hitchcock one of the worst shooting teams i’ve personally watched in person. Buna is playing hot potato with the basketball when anyone other than Alex Connell touches it. Can’t keep having him bail us out. Let’s see how this second half goes.

  2. Legacy far and away was the best team. Between Bryce, Chandler Rivers, Aron Akhtar, and Kennedey that is a special group of basketball players. If they stayed together they could as long as everyone progress as well as they have to this point win 2-3 state titles. Bryce and Chandler are already picking up steam in camp circles for football though so they may attend public schools by this time next year.

As i stated to Mr.Shapiro kids or parents cannot get in their feelings. 15 Man roster for varsity that’s it , 12-15 for both JV A/B,same for freshman. The true question is how many of the those kids are varsity level players especially if you a junior on jv aometimes the writing is on the wall not for all but for some it is. The truth is unless kids are putting in the work during the summer they will get left behind period point blank. I hear ppl talking about scholarships how many guys have earned a scholarship from all 3 Bmt schools in the last 5 yrs. if you do a breakdown it seems like a lot but you can be fooled by so called talent. Last year only 3 kids from any of the Bmt schools went on to play college ball. Here is a very harsh reality about HS . No matter how many points certain players score, it may not ever translate in to playing  Juco,NAIA,D1,D2 or D3.  Ppl may not like it, but it’s the absolute truth.

Last two sentences is the absolute truth. My senior year I averaged 33 ppg, although at a private school in Community Christian, and had a few scholarship offers due to my AAU coach and high school coach having some connections. Every level of basketball I ever played at I was a great scorer but I signed a financial aid agreement and played for Arlington Baptist College. I quickly learned that the way I played and my attitude towards wanting to play defense would never translate to the college level. So i hung it up after one year. I would advise all student athletes that want to play understand that defense will get you playing time at every level regardless of how well you play offense.

Not sure if we’re talking about Guys coming out next year or future kids but

Bryce Anderson from Vincent/Cathedral is a kid to watch, he’s an 8th grader and just played in the US under 15 game in Dallas, as well as been invited to National combines..Not sure what HS he’s going to, (I’m hearing WB) but where ever he goes they’re getting a player and a future star

Kid can play! Didnt realize he transferre from Legacy. He’s a hell of a basketball player too. If that 8th grade at Legacy would have stayed together they could win 2-3 state championships easy.

This reminds me a lot of Colton Kimler several years back. I was scratching my head as to why he had no offers. Nice sized safety, good speed, and and absolute ball hawk that was always in on the play and not afraid to hit you in the mouth... Still swear he would have started in LU’s secondary for sure!

He had an offer from Lamar. Chose not to continue to play. One of the best to come through SETX in awhile.

  6. It happened in the second quarter right before halftime. Silsbee was pressing and his jersey got ripped and he stopped and held his jersey up at the ref. I thought he was simply saying they were grabbing him but I noticed the green letters on his undershirt after that situation.
