Very good insight. It's crazy they haven't got to see him play. I don't see how, doesn't Silsbee play in some big time tournaments? State 3 years in a row. They living under rocks? lol
Well why this is true, during the regular season college coaches are more trying to secure commitments from guys they have already been recruiting. Also, like hoops said Devon didn’t play on a shoe circuit this summer, or the previous two from what I know and that is where guys will get all of their power 5 conference offers from. I think both definitely have power 5 talent, but sometimes the cards don’t fall into place.

I believe it all to be rumors until he actually puts on a Silsbee jersey. From my understanding they were just adding him to their click but I could be wrong. If he does leave i expect Glenn Bibbins to take over, he’s a very good defender ,decent shooter & solid all the way around. We all know the motto next up. Projected starters should be Glenn Bibbins,Jakia Oliver,Kendris Henry, Justin Pleasant,Jalyan Subject , that’s still a hell of a lineup imo.
Julius Ratller, Tyrese Baker, Anthony Green, Jacoby Veazie, maybe a call up for baby Arceneaux later in the season. When they get Dotson back it’ll be almost unfair for teams. Especially if they keep Kasen

One question would he have been a starter at United? Ok I guess that leads to a second, will he be a starter here?
Not only would he have been a starter, he would’ve been there 1st or 2nd best player between him and Jakia Oliver. With Kevin Dotson out for the beginning of the seasons this is a big blow to United.

I think it is one of those small private academies- he plays with Arceneaux for one of Sneeds teams
He does, but he is not as skilled or tall as Terrance. Good player though. He will be a scholarship athlete God willit.

Yes. That good. Deepest team in the area with the best player in the area in Tunisha Strong.
They have the top 2 in my eyes. Ashlon Jackson is who I would take as the better of the two. I’m going to go ahead and call it and predict a state championship for them next year.

From what I've heard the best 8th grade basketball player in SE Texas is actually a girl at Hardin Jefferson. Don't know the young ladies name but I hear she is already getting serious attention from the top women's D1 teams in the nation.
Yes averaged a triple double and she is probably a little bitter than Alexis Morris was at the same age and she finished at around 15-20 in most national rankings. Would’ve been the best varsity player on every girls team in the Golden Triangle. Ashlon Jackson is her name. Pushing 6’0 and is a guard. She’s fun to watch.

Only 3rd D1 player in recent memory. 2014 class Laquarious Paige at Indiania State, now Lamar, and Brandon Joubert who redshirted one year at Mcneese State.

Bryce Anderson
Chandler Rivers
Aaron Akhtar
Jermario Thomas - Jasper (Kid is very good on the court)
D'Mijah Reese - Kountze
Coby Elam - Silsbee
Partain - Silsbee
Anahuac has a kid that is like 6'4 throwin it down with two hands easily. And he can high jump like 6 foot
Man, I kid you not if those top 3 all stay at Legacy they could compete for a title next season. Aron and Bryce would be immediate game changers. Thomas is already an elite level high school shooter. A lot of young talent in SETx right now

That’s crazy to think Shelbyville will return everyone. EC return a majority as well? It’ll be interesting to see if some of the re-zoning allows for some kids from West Brook to possibly transfer to United and be game changers. PA will be down a little bit because of the amount of kids they are losing. Nederland should be better. Interested to see how well LC-M is after losing a ton of seniors as well. A lot of intrigue going into next year with the top two spots solidified though.

Was he All-State?? Ernest Ceasar was and he was BY FAR the best player in the district. Kordell was the second best player, and that is an unbiased assessment.
Na Connell wasn’t all state that I know of but it’s hard to make the TABC all state team if you don’t make a deep in the playoff and/or have a crazy stat line. The district coaches seen Alex as the MVP though. 3rd is a great player too, a little raw right now but that goes for all 15 year olds. Him and his little brother play in the same AAU program that I did so i know their games well. Honestly it’s not a discussion I think we will resolve. All three great players. All three will play really well next year as well.

Im taking you’re drunk, since it’s St. Patty’s day??
Nope, Alex Connell would be the best player on every team in the district. Kordell David and Tyga are both great players as well. Neither are as good as Alex.
-
Connell was the best player in the district by a decent margin. Usually MVP goes to best player in best team but without Connell Buna wins maybe 2-3 district games. That’s no disrespect to the other Cougars it’s just how much he does for them on the offensive end creating probably 80% of the entire Buna offense this year. David would’ve been a good choice as well.

Add Montavien Jones and Arceneaux to that top 5 list
I know this is kind of foolish to say now but if Arceneaux grows a little bit more and continues to polish his skills, he’ll be a D1 player.
-
Bryce Anderson, Chandler Rivers, and Aron Akhtar would be in my top 5 for any 8th grade list right now.

Unfortunately I won’t be there until Friday but this is the game id most like to see from all of the semis. Here’s hoping they can slow down Kaden Archie so i can catch them on Saturday.
-
Is Archie still playing after collapsing in the second round game?
13 hours ago, TxHoops said:Lancaster has been down this year with 13 losses. But after beating Waxahachie, they are definitely peaking at the right time. Midlothian’s Kaden Archie will be the best player at that regional, and I suspect the winner of their game with Prosper (who is also very tough this year) will be the favorite to beat the winner out of Lancaster and Mt. Pleasant. But you’re right, Lancaster is always one to look out for.

Absolutely. And one of the toughest PGs around. But also proof how hard it is to repeat. Falls had everyone back from last year’s championship team.
at any level this is true. We made it to the state tournament 3 years in a row in high school and every year it was 3 different teams there with us.
-
If we’re including old 4A then the Central team from 2013-14 that went to the state tournament should be included.
4 D1 basketball players
4 D1 football players
1 D1 high jumper
and two guards in Harrison and Guillory who could’ve helped college programs but for whatever reason decided to quit playing.
This team was so talented it was a shame Toe Toe went down with an injury in that first quarter of that State Semifinal game after dropping 8 in the first 4 minutes.
They were special.

No way bro ..wheeler can Go to any high major he wants
That’s not true. His biggest offer was A&M/Baylor. No 3 star PG can go to any High Major he wants. Not to discredit Wheeler because he is an amazing player. But to say that is a lie.

LCM with foul to give uses it with .1 seconds left. Perfectly executed and Diboll has to try and alley oop. Bears win 43-42.
Always trust the JeffGOAT to get something excecuted. As good a coach that we have in this area.

69–56 Hithcock FINAL
And for the first time since losing in the state championship game my junior year i have cried at a high school sporting event. Watching my little brother play sports has been one of my favorite things to do in my life. Knowing i know longer can do that sucks. Thank you Jordan Dixson for being a role model in my life. You’re big brother loves you more than you’ll ever know. Shoutout to the rest of the Cougars as well. Great season boys!
