  1. Have to hand it to the Raiders......no one needs to talk smack on you. You came out and fought hard for that win. It was an exciting game with fans on both sides totally into the game. Best of luck to the Raiders in your playoff bid. I know you will be there! Keep up the good work!
  2. In this district, I'm afraid to make any predictions anymore!
  3. Livingston is the real deal! So, is Livingston and Lumberton tied for first in District? I'm confused...this district is wide open again!
  4. Great game, Lumberton...very hard fought! Best of luck to you the rest of the way! Congrats!
  5. Just don't see the Dawgs taking this one. I think Livingston will be too much for them! ;D
  6. Bulldog fans better hope the players don't have this attitude. I agree. Livingston has a lot of speed. I just don't think the Dogs are up to handling them. It seems a lot of folks over across the tracks are underestimating Livingston, much like they did Central...hmmm....go figure. :
  7. 1. Hamshire Fannett @ Hardin Jefferson 2. Deweyville @ Buna 3. Livingston @ Nederland 4. West Brook @ PA Memorial 5. Galena Park @ Dayton 6. Central @ Ozen 7. Lumberton @ PNG 8. Vidor @ LCM 9. 8. Correct! Except.... PN-G's homeside is now 8,000 versus 5,500 for Nederland. That's over 50% more fans. Can't wait to see the new Indian Stadium. PNG definitely has the BEST and most spirited fans! Nederland/Lumberton is a close second! The new stadium is magnificent!
  9. Ya know That is funny ..because the defense has not give up as many points as our offense ,,,,the offense has had 12 turnovers in 2 games 5 for touchdowns ......let our defense get some rest and they will be able to be a little tougher through the whole game......... The defense was considered questionable from the beginning of the season. That is why I said that. Oh, by the way, just tell your punt returner that if it rolls inside the 10 yard line DON'T PICK IT UP!!!! I know that you guys must have been cringing on that play. I always enjoy PNG/Lumberton games. I remember a couple of years ago when a Nederland fan was posting how obnoxious the Raider fans were. I don't find that at all....the Indian fans and the Raider fans are basically standing up all night yelling when these two teams play each other. I'm not going to make a prediction, (of course I hope PNG wins), but who knows....its going to be a GREAT game! BTW, the "NEW" Reservation is a sight to behold.....it's simply amazing...however, get there early, because the parking is horrendous with all the construction that is going on. Best of luck to BOTH teams, praying for no injuries!
  10. Not dissing your prediction(I think itr will be a great game as well), but the game is at Nederland. Homecoming to be exact! Not that that matters all that much in the grand scheme of things. Hey I'm sorry, got confused, I thought the game was in Livingston ???. However, I still stand by my prediction. The Dogs will be in for the second loss in a row this week. Livingston's speed is remarkable! Their defense is on you in no time flat. I also feel like they will contain Grogan. If I were Nederland, I would definitely do everything I could to get ready for the Lions.
  11. Livingston, playing at home, continuing to improve week after week, and with their speed, along with the fact that they are hungry to solidify a playoff spot, I'm sorry, but I think Livingston will come away with a "W" for this one. It's gonna be a good one, for sure!
  12. I totally agree with this post. Tatum is an excellent QB and its a shame he was not allowed to reach his full potential as a high school quarterback. And, like you, I too believe that the most talented and better players are not always the starters in the game. This needs to change. The OC either needs to get his act together or needs to be replaced...plain and simple. I think without great leadership and motivation from the coaching staff, the boys lose their intensity when playing the game. I feel there has been a breakdown in the coaching this year at PNG....we have the talent, the kids to get the job done, but it seems at times they are lacking discipline and encouragement in the game. This has been a CRAZY year at PNG....no home stadium (and all games on the road), then the hurricanes, and so on...not making excuses because everyone else has been affected. PNG will bounce back...we have an undefeated JV (so far) and I hope and pray that their full potential will be allowed next year as the Indians come roaring back. Best of luck to all the teams in our district.
  13. good post thanks same thing good luck to u and ur ndn's on the rest of the season Thank you, I meant every word.
  14. Raider, PNG won't be one of the 4 representing the district. I believe Vidor took care of us last night. But its ok, its late...I understand. Best of luck to the Raiders....we'll see you at the new Rez! LOL.yeah I realized that after I posted, should've removed it. For some reason as soon as I see the big N in your name my mind goes to the other side of mid-county........sorry. LOL, no problem! ;D
  15. I think this perception is way off base. Ridiculous comment. >
  16. "Smack" talk is what goes with the territory in high school football. I agree, some "older" fans get carried away and its ridiculous. We have to remember that honestly, the only ones that are really allowed to talk smack are the young men that dress out every Friday night and play their hearts out on a 100 yard field. However, I feel your pain and understand and sympathize. We can't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch in this case. Right after the game, Friday, I was on here posting congrats to Vidor for a game they deserved to win. Actually, I'm very proud for you guys, you have been the "brunt" of jokes for way too long and I hope you make it to the playoffs, an honor you deserve. Take care and the best of luck to the Pirates this year!
  17. Raider, PNG won't be one of the 4 representing the district. I believe Vidor took care of us last night. But its ok, its late...I understand. Best of luck to the Raiders....we'll see you at the new Rez!
  18. I agree...so, we are having a down year...everybody has them. And you are right...PNG does have the BEST Honor, Pride, and Tradition that has ever been seen! We will be back, you can bet on that. Now, however, its time to regroup and pull for the remaining teams that will represent 20-4A. Best of luck to everyone.......!
  19. 1. Lumberton 2. Central 3. Livingston 4. Vidor/Nederland In that order.
  20. Broncos RULE in this one! Dayton 35 GP 7
  21. Just my opinion, Bru. I predicted that Central would give Nederland a hard time, and they did, they beat them. I've seen Livingston play and I feel they are underated. I think it will be close, but I think Livingston will come out with the win. Livingston has a lot of speed, not sure that the Dogs can handle it, just my opinion. As for the Indians season, we know what our mistakes are/were and will try to correct them and continue this season....not expecting Nederland's losses to improve our season...that was a bit "childish", wouldn't you say? >
  22. I said earlier this week that Central ALWAYS gives Nederland problems...this year, it appears Central wanted it more than Nederland. Good luck Jags!
  23. One thing for sure, Lumberton will love playing in our new stadium...it rocks!
  24. Gonna be a tough game. If PNG doesn't control turnovers, the game is Lumberton's. If PNG comes out to play, then it will be close...who knows who will come away with the "W".
