An Ozen fan stated on another thread that Ozen turned 5A numbers to UIL. Ozen is a 5A school, playing where they belong. Beaumont ISD is trying to recover from a great tragedy and it will take time. How much time will the people allow and how much will people help their school recover?

The only coach in the area that makes mor than the Beaumont coaches is Nederland's coach. Here's an old link but BISD football pay is on par with a lot of the school's in the state.

By far the DUMBEST, most un-educated post I have EVER seen about BISD...I GUARANTEE you that EVERY small school coach would take West Brook RIGHT NOW if offered in basketball AND Football! Are you kidding me? And MOST would take Ozen too! The only reason most won't take Central is out of FEAR...(I will leave it at that) You mean to tell me NEDERLAND'S facilities are better than BISD? Vidor? Bridge City? LCM? West Orange? HJ? I'm talking basketball and football....NO WAY.

This is what I have said, about this team being the most complete team I have ever seen. Every member was a threat, and every back up was just as good. Celina was a 2 or 3 man team.

Injuries happen in football games and they are unfortunate.  We lost Justin Brown on Celina's first offensive series in the second half.  He took a clean shot on a crack back block and sustained a bruised sternum and was out the rest of the game.  He is the strong side linebacker and makes all the defensive calls (the QB of the defense).  Nobody noticed because the next man up came in and did his job.  This is the mantra of Mustang football especially under Cornell Thompson and staff.

After seeing both of these teams, im just gonna say that this game has all the makings to be as good of a game as last year's WOS/Gilmer champ game.  Cant wait to see this one.  Gonna be in my seat mucho early for it

Thay kid was a straight up baller! Man, nothing but respect for him and Cuero. Y'all had us nervous until about 2 min left in the 4th. Not many teams can say that! That WAS NOT a 5 loss team. As good as advertised! I'm pretty sure we'll see y'all again next year! Thanks for a clean an exciting game Gobblers!

This is a very sad situation, my heart and prayers go out to the mother and child who were killed in this tragic accident. May god bless the community of Orange my home town as they grieve the loss of Ms. Ava Lewis, and her daughter Lamya Newhouse. And please let us not forget to pray for the family of Coach Broussard as they are dealing with is unfortunate situation.

Welp certainly 4 teams making playoffs=saves some jobs smh thanks UIL some make playoffs before scrimm#1 & some are just happy,happy as Phil Robertson.Regardless of the w/l record if kiddos aren't getting taught life lessons & some coaches expect all the credit then they should except the critizm that comes w/any paid employee=it's a job & every year  there is hundreds of coaching changes posted=this is serious bussiness our future adults may die on a battlefield =they must learn leadership/honor/pride/teamwork/hardships/hard work/God/choosing your friends wisely=football is a game(should have some fun in it)afterwards ea.will have to earn a $ having someone above you holding you accountable.The game is forever being tweaked/changing/getting 5 qtrs out of 4.If you ever stop learning you're headed for hire list soon,the utimate answer=how will your kiddos remember their coach=lasts a lifetime
