just looked at the howard payne/umhb score, and it had a wild end. down 2-1, mhb scored in the 85th to tie. hp scored in the 86th to go back up 3-2. mhb then scored twice in the 88th to win 4-3. -
nice! not the prettiest rack, but he's got some character :)

Who would give her a chance at the next level?

my only question is this... what do you do with a bad snap that goes to her? do you have her kicking off as well? in two seasons of kicking i was tackled in a game 3 times due to bad snaps/fakes, and made more tackles than that covering kickoffs. i was a good athlete, but having no real football experience apart from scout team and place kicking, it was always an awkward moment if i was involved in a tackle, either giving or taking. as a coach do you want to be held accountable if she gets smashed by some 260-lb lineman after picking up a bad snap? do you want to be held accountable if she gets hurt trying to make a TD-saving tackle on a kickoff? -

K-ville needs one ;D
I wish Kirbyville would get out of the stone age on this issue, and let a soccer player on the team to just be a place kicker/punter. I'm pretty sure there are a few kids there who would do it.
that's what happened to me out at HJ 10 years ago. i was at soccer practice, and the coach came out and i was asked/told that i would be kicking for the football team the next season. i ended up loving it, but i wish i had done it for more than two years. it's a pretty easy conversion for a good soccer player to make. -

he picked up a local girl last year, and she got hurt and then quit the team.

They will struggle to win 30 games.
17 it is!

that's what we like to call "sarcasm". he's taking a shot at another poster who always comes on here and talks about HJ. Nash is a die-hard HJ fan.

hippy and i went out yesterday with my dad and uncle and we caught 21 sand trout, 2 reds, and 1 black drum. we would've caught more but we had to go in because of the lightning, and by the time it settled down, the bite had cooled. the nice thing about the sand trout is that most of them were spec-sized. they averaged close to 15 inches a piece.

amazing season for the rangers... this sucks right now, but looking at the overall picture, they were awesome. still, the best team won this series. the giants were incredible this post season.
-
now the announcers are questioning some of washington's decisions... finally. i can't gripe much, seeing how far he's taken them this year, but he still leaves me scratching my head pretty often.
-
i got home just in time to see that 3-run homer... that hurt.
-
well, they still have a shot, but it doesn't look good.
-
rangers win 4-2, and have a shot to even the series tomorrow!
-
still looking good! 4-1 after 7!!! i gotta go to a halloween party. keep it up, rangers!
-
After it looked liked the rangers were going to strand cruz on 3rd after a lead off double, Moreland hits a 3-run HR to put the rangers up 3-0 in the 2nd!!!
-
you've heard the saying "shooting yourself in the foot"? so far this series, the rangers have been shooting themselves in the face.
-
well, at least we're not giving the giants' batters any momentum heading into game 3 ::) now 8-0, as the giants have 6 runs in the 8th, all with two outs. kinda reminds me of the 5th inning last night.
-
sorry to keep whining about it, but it's a train wreck. no, it's a dumpster fire. all post season long washington has taken people out when they should stay in, and left people in when they needed to come out.
-
awful. the only thing worse than the ranger's bullpen this postseason has been washington's management of it. i really can't believe the rangers have made it this far. it's a good thing their starters have been lights out and they've scored a bunch of runs.
-
if i was there i'd shove washington's crackpipe up his butt. matchups don't work when your pitcher can't hit the strikezone. what an idiot.
-
what a joke. pull your best reliever after giving up a single, but don't pull the guy you put in after 8 straight balls load the bases? and now he walks his 3rd batter in a row to force in a run and effectively end this game. 3rd game of this post season that washington has done something incredibly stupid with the bullpen. nice job, ron.
-
ron washington again proves his mastery of the bullpen by pulling an already warm reliever who gets a runner on 1st base with 2 outs, and derek holland promptly comes in and throws 8 straight balls. good time for another pitcher? heck no! let's leave him in there.
