James Harden vs Stephan Curry.
bullets13 replied to king's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
I'm fine with either Harden or Curry winning it this year. it'll be nice to see a little parity in who wins the award for once. -
hypothetical for you: there's a man chasing your son, trying to shoot him. a police officer has an opportunity to "disable him" or shoot to kill (really it's shoot to stop the threat, but whatever). Do you want the officer to try a more difficult shot on the suspect and try to "disable him", despite the fact that they are more likely to miss, and even if they hit him he still might be able to shoot your son? Or would you rather them shoot him center mass, where they're much more likely to hit him, but also much more likely to kill him?

[Hidden Content] white and female. made a threatening move towards officers, and was shot by 3 of them. just saying.

And if republicans will stick to this approach, they have a much better shot at maintaining the seats they've gained in the house and senate.
-
If republicans mistake disenfranchised voters swinging their way in individual elections as an indication that the country as a whole is interested in their conservative stances on many issues (again), then the voters will swing right back to the left in another few years.

that's what I was thinking!

I'm kind of sad. watching him these last couple of years was like watching a 200-car pileup on an icy interstate. it's hard to witness, but still fascinating and impossible to look away from.

Bryant Gumbel: NRA is 'curse upon the American landscape'

I'm very much pro-gun, and I don't particularly care for the NRA, but his comments are WAY out of line. -
Inflategate. :)

Parquet is definitely at or near the top. If HJ wasn't so balanced this year, he'd be a clear #1 IMO. As it is, he's still a big contributor in an offense that has 6 or 7 guys consistently scoring 7-10 points a game. -
Looked great tonight. Needed that one

Jerry Jones named Executive of the Year

The difference was the play of the o-line, And them finally committing to the run in general. i would rather replace him with a capable back who might not be quite as good, but will still perform pretty well behind the O-line than try to replace matchup nightmare Dez and his 16 TD catches. And that's not even factoring in the success of the other WRs who benefited from single coverage or holes in zones because opponents had to concentrate so hard on slowing him down. Factor in all of the fumbles by Murray, along with how interchangeable backs have started to become in the NFL, and dez is a no-brainer. -

Dez is more important. any decent running back can put up pretty good numbers in that offense, plus probably not fumble 62 times during the season. there's only a couple of guys in the league who can do what dez does. -
The only put down name I can think of for Kentucky has a term for a woman's nether regions that I can't post on here ;)

Hopefully he gets really puffed up about what he did this year and does the same thing next year ;) -
House votes to overturn Obama's Immigration Executive Order

I agree. but that being said, I don't see how acting out the stereotype that Dems have placed on them doesn't count as a loss. You're absolutely right that the GOP better start courting Hispanics. -
yup. any warm body can get 1000 yards behind that line if dallas keeps running consistently, and will likely fumble less than murray to boot. there are only maybe four WRs in the league who can do what dez does (Green, Julio, Megatron, Dez), and you can't replace him.

that's a guy I'd trade three prospects for.

I'm okay with it. I'm still ready for him to be gone, but nobody can deny that the moves they made this past year completely turned the franchise around. that being said, we'll see what they do this year with all of those free agents to keep the team together. -
On a slightly different note, i do still open a regular door for my wife. we were at a restaurant last night and i opened the door for her, then immediately hit the button so she could open her own car door :)
