The defense will have to win some games, no doubt, but one of the greatest defensive seasons ever? They have a pretty soft schedule. Of the 8 games Romo is projected to miss, Dallas will have a realistic shot in 6 of them (and the way seattle looks right now, maybe a shot in 7). Now, do i think they'll go 6-2? No. But they should have a chance in 6 games, and 4-4 (or even 3-5) could very well be enough to give us a good shot of making a run to the playoffs once Tony Fing Football comes back. -

I made my Orton comment without reading your Orton comment. Great minds, I guess -

they're working out Christian Ponder, Matt Flynn, Josh Johnson, and McLeod Bethel-Thompson today. I hope Flynn wins out. He's done some stuff once or twice behind a good O-line that lead me to believe he might could do a little something until Romo gets back, assuming that Weeden doesn't have much success for us. I'd KILL to have Kyle Orton right now, and it makes me sick to my stomach to say that. -

That was a bogus call for 15 yards. Boys better figure out a way to win this one. Romo is gonna be out for awhile. Gotta pick up a win while we have the chance -

Wow, we wasted at least one shot at the endzone there. Better make this one count -

I can't figure out if we miss demarco more or if he misses us more. This has been a sorry game. But I've got no issue if we can win ugly. -
What a win!

Even with giving up this drive at the end of the half, the horns are looking pretty good.

Ranked SEC school Missouri thoroughly dominating American Athletic Conference powerhouse UCONN 9-6 in the 4th quarter. SEC! SEC! SEC!

the hunt we got drawn on this year is probably the most popular in the state. We had a group of four of us, and had 7 or 8 preference points each, so maybe it does help. i know somewhere around 4500 put in for it a year, with 40 drawn.

These rangers are looking like the teams that made it to the World Series a couple of years back. Even better, next year we could be really good with most of the offense back, plus darvish, Hamels, and holland leading the pitching staff with several good young arms around to fight for filling out the rotation. -
I remember looking at the Astros stats earlier in year when they had their huge lead in the standings, and just about everyone except for Altuve was batting .230 or lower. I didn't think they could sustain their lead hitting like that, and it's finally coming back to bite them. That being said, they're still very much in this race, and they're ahead of schedule. It was supposed to be another year or two before they were going to be in pennant races. Astros fans have a lot to look forward to over the next several years with the offensive core and pitching staff that they've put together.

Fairfield was a good hunt for us, with my dad and I each taking a nice doe, and me passing on a spike because it was broken off and me not being sure if I could take it. Balcones kinda sucked, but we got unlucky and drew a bad area, and were also the third group of hunters in. We lucked out double on chaparral this year, because not only is it probably the best buck hunt offered, we're in the first group of gun hunters, so there will be more deer, and they'll be less cautious due to a lack of pressure.

Anyway, I brought this up because I've talked to some pretty serious hunters who didn't know about these hunts. We spend about $100 a year and enter for about 15 hunts. You get to hunt areas that are normally not hunted to help control the animal population. You can sign up for whitetail, mulies, pigs, turkeys, javelina, antelope, exotics, alligators, etc. it's a cool way to get to hunt some land that we don't see around here, and if you get really lucky and drawn for the right hunt, a chance to hunt for the buck of a lifetime. If you've been, share your experiences.
