"you have burnt orange glasses. let me put on my maroon glasses and examine this situation." -Roper84

a poor result. that being said, Texas is still rebuilding, and Notre Dame is expected by many experts to be in the football playoff at the end of the year. I'm not happy with the result, but I'd be more upset if it had happened against an average team. That being said, Texas isn't going to do much winning until they bring in at least a serviceable quarterback.

I'd argue that Tebow makes Fitzpatrick look like Joe Montana
-
man. Swoopes is bad.
-
now i'll agree that I did not have long, prolonged arguments with that many folks. maybe 5 or 6.
-
yeah? I think not. there were a ton of people on the Tebowwagon. and nearly all of them crapped a biscuit any time someone mentioned how bad he sucked.
-
I remember a couple of years back having an argument with about 30 people on here about how terrible he was. I was told I was stupid, that he was a winner, and that he would have a long, solid NFL career. I was told that he was simply being persecuted because of his Christian faith. I was told that he just needed time to develop. I think at this point it's safe for me to say... Nanny nanny boo boo, stick your head in doo doo.

No? The article definitely has a pretty obvious anti-police theme to it.
-
the candidate you speak of would be my optimum choice. I just don't see it happening.
-
[Hidden Content] A couple of things of interest to note from the article: all shots hit him in the front, meaning he was not running away, and even after being shot did not turn away. he was hit by a taser, but only one barb went in, making it ineffectual. There are still many unanswered questions in this case, but with what's being released now I'm not sure that there's any crime to charge the officer with. Has anyone seen anything about a grand jury or possible charges?

Tasty Cream Donuts in Beaumont on phelan is my favorite breakfast. It's probably best I live in fannett now.
-
a perfect example of how videos that show officers "doing something wrong" often don't show important factors that lead to officers reacting the way they do.
-
I thought you meant infections of people. From what I saw this amoeba is probably in most of the fresh water that we swim in around here. You can't get infected by drinking it, only by getting it up your nose.
-
Now I can get sausage cheese biscuits for dinner! Because sometimes I just don't feel like waiting until breakfast for a case of diarrhea!
-
Oklahoma and Kansas most recently, that I could find.
-
It occurs in warm, fresh water, with most cases occurring in texas, Arkansas, Florida, California, and Arizona.
-
I did a little research. There have only been 133 diagnosed cases in the last 53 years. Of those, 130 were fatal. So basically, if you get it, you're going to die, but millions and millions of people a year swim in infected waters, with an average of 2 or 3 of them becoming infected. You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting infected.

Cops hunt 3 suspects in shooting of Illinois police officer

wouldn't be surprised if they ganged up on him and shot him with his own gun after he hesitated to shoot them out of fear of becoming the next media hate target. -
All races are created equal, but all races also come with their own cultures that lead to the races becoming unequal in various ways.

Nobody said she was a bad person. That being said, I've accomplished as much or more in my life than she did, DIDN'T commit a felony, DIDN'T kill myself while in jail for said felony, and nobody's naming streets after me. When the noteworthy difference beteen two people's lives is that one is a felon that committed suicide, it seems like the other one might be more deserving of public honor.
-
The fact that the police brought a suspect in with no incident who had just brutally executed one of their own should go a long way in showing that police do not go around indiscriminately shooting criminals.

Horrible. Overall, it's been a very bad week for law enforcement in the south. I'm glad they caught this guy before he could do it again.

16 yr old Burgalry suspect killed in Hamshire

I still find it strange that this particular set of grandparents wasn't listed on his obituary. Maybe they aren't as involved with him as they're letting on? Anyway, with that being said, I've talked to 4 different HF students who knew him, and all of them said he was often in trouble, went to in school suspension on various occasions, and was overall just a bad seed. I guess when you have family that will apologize for you no matter WHAT you do, it's easy to understand why a kid might not see anything wrong with the crime he was committing. -
Two US TV journalists shot dead on air
bullets13 replied to thetragichippy's topic in The Locker Room
A shocking crime, but as TVC said, the only reason its more shocking than other shootings is because we got a first person view from the shooter. I hope this doesn't become the new "thing" for crazies.
