Omar has never been a head coach before right? This is a job that’s a good one and a guy with head coaching experience needs to get this job I’d say English, Thomas, Joubert

I’d say there is about 0 chance Joubert leaves Kountze with what he has returning for next season IMO… and even after that he seems happy in Kountze IMO

Now that District is here... it will be a very interesting and competitive district, but this is how I see it shaping up.

    1. LCM (15-4) - District champs from last year with all returners. Lexie Moss is absolutely killing the ball. I believe she leads the area in Home runs with 8. EIther her or Smith from Kountze. Very solid pitching and defense also. Will be some great battles against Fall.

    2. BC (11-9) - The only reason they are competitive is because of Fall. She is a phenom but can't do it all by herself. They do not hit the ball well at all and defense is average at best when the ball is put in play.

    3. Vidor (15-5) - Vidor is doing very well with what they have. A couple of young players are stepping up. They even beat BS with Fall pitching in a tournament. I can see them slipping up and losing a game or two that they shouldn't.

    4. Silsbee (14-5) - Doing much better than poeple thought. Won a couple close games against solid teams. Very young though, so who knows how they will respond to adversity when it comes up. I believe they start 6 freshman and 2 sophomores, so the future looks bright for them, if this is true.

    5. Jasper (7-9) - Jasper is under performing so far if you ask me. They have Sells, which is an absolute beast, but other than her, they are struggling this year. They will be in the mix for that 4th spot, but I just do not see them getting it.

    6. Lumberton (4-11) - Once they get their best player back from injury, they will be competitive for the 4th spot also. They hit the ball decently, but they do not have a dominating pitcher.

    7. WOS - (5-13) - ....

I think 1 and 2 could honestly go either way.

3, 4, 5, and 6 will be fun to see how it shapes up, but I give the nod to Vidor right now.

We will see how Silsbee’s youth responds after a 0-3 start to district

8-4, or 7-5, they will play at least 2 rounds, since Bellville got moved to the other district

Yup but it all depends on where Silsbee finishes in district… if they win district I don’t think they see Bellville till the 4th round or so… if they don’t they could meet in the second round possibly I think… who knows… will have a better idea once the playoff brackets are released for next season. The region lost Cuero but gaining China Spring, Waco La Vega, and Lorena won’t make it any easier

In advance of the Enterprise doing its Super Gold team, who are your 5 (and 5 ONLY, this isn’t a 145 man all SETX team as selected by the coaches).  For me, there are 4 no brainers - Dotson and Payia from BU, Simmons from WB, and Harris from Silsbee.  The 5th is a struggle between 2 in my mind, and I would lean Drelon Miller, even if he is a “football guy.”  The other option would be Sells from Kountze, who I would be fine with.  I would give the nod to Miller because he’s a senior and a more well rounded player imo.

Yeah I like your list… Could you clarify on the more well rounded aspect ? Obviously miller has the more physical advantage being 6’2 compared to sells. Not knocking what you said just wanted some clarification into what you mean lol

Down play him all you want, its expected on here. I believe Wrinkle is a great player too and I have bragged on him all season. At the same time I have seen them every game and how defenses played them. They were a 1, 2 punch that will surely be missed. Teams picked their poison and gambled on the other all season. I would have been extremely happy for Wrinkle had he won MVP, great young man and great teammate. We will not replace him, we will only be able to try to find ways to make up for his absence.

I dont agree Sells was more deserving, but that is why we are entitled to our own opinions. I stated the facts previously for why I feel the votes seem to always go to Kountze  in some sort of way.

I guess I could dig up OF stats from the year before Ghost was a Freshman to see who he replaced in the lineup as a starter and on the team, see where they finished in District? Playoffs? I wonder if they were real good players? I wonder if you all bragged on how great they are and how terrible we'd be without them? I'm not real sure honestly, but I know we had 29 wins last year 3rd Rd exit, 33 wins this year 3rd Rd exit. Ghost probably didnt have much to do with any of those wins though.

    Who is down playing him?
