Ned  21    Crosby  7 Ned  19    Crosby  25 Ned  29    Crosby  35 Total 69                67 Avg. 23                22 and as Coug is always saying stats mean everything.... I guess Nederland is going to win due to the avg scores of the 3 games.... I guess that puts this to bed....... :-D Carry on have a nice day...
The 7 is an outlier. Ned's D was good but it was the first game with a new staff. We also have two W's which y'all say is everything. Looks like it's our year if we're averaging those.
 2.
Coug, thanks for the tip on getting to the game before kickoff, but we bulldog fans always show up early..when you get out of your car you'll hear cowbells and barking, and when you get back in your car at the end of the game you will hear cowbells and barking, and our band playing conquest.
Y'all could play whatever you want, last two trips to play us on this side of the river heard our fight song more than yours. If I remember the events correctly I did hear barking at the beginning of the game but y'all left with your tail tucked between you legs. I think y'all are 0-for against Crosby, Dayton, and BH west of the Trinity in recent times. Y'all get your first one next August either. I said be there early because we have the smallest, most raggedy stadium in the district and the home side is small so when it gets real packed fans sit on the visitor side.
Jordan Braden may have had the most carries of any of their {Summer Creek} running backs last year but he was the third leading rusher on his team behind a third-string running back.Deunte Chatman is the real deal.Check out what he did in the spring game and you will see that he is a better back.If they have a open competition for running back at SC and show no favortism he would win the job hands down.He is bigger,6'1 faster 40 4.5 and stronger bench-presses almost 400 pounds
This is D'onta Foreman. Kid is similar in size and speed, I also heard from one of the team parents he's a monster in the weight room. This is his film from last year and how good you have to be to not get an offer to play RB. I know it says RB but all the big schools are recruiting him as an LB. [Hidden Content] You think Chatman will be that good next year?
 5.

Deunte Chatman doesn't complain about anything. He just wants to win and he is a team player. He can play multiple positions on the field so that makes him a  valuable asset.I think that he is one of the best athletes in Texas Class of 2015 that no one has  heard of yet. This time next year you will know about him for sure
Well see about that.
MTC, he's probably right. I know what YOUR saying though. Basically all he has to do is start next year and he should be able to make enough plays for some decent film. The taller he can get the more offers he'll receive because recruiters know in a couple years he's going to be 6-something and weigh in the mid to high 220s just like Allen. Before the Nike camp Dakota was considered strictly an inside lb, but after he ran good 40 for his position he was considered more versatile. That's important, especially if you play in a conference where you see a lot of spread offenses which means you have to cover TE's and RB's more than usual. It means you can play three downs. I don't know how good of a RB he'll be but LB or an Aaron Hernandez-like TE could be in play come offer time and he's going to be rated high no matter what because of how well he tests. I'm with you though My Two, put it on film.
I see y'all were fixing to have a praise session so I'll go ahead and stir the pot. 35-24 Crosby. If you want to see it in person you better be there before kickoff or there won't be a seat on either side. I don't think we'll be held under thirty the whole year and I don't think Ned can get thirty on us. We only lost one starter on the offensive line and we're bringing back a guy that was hurt and was supposed to be the starter. We still have to figure out how to slow Washington down though. He destroyed us last year but that was the first game with a new staff and the kids looked lost execution wise on the offensive side of the ball. Different story this year though, we bunch of seniors who've been there before and feel it's their year.
Seems like I heard that last year, right before the twins got shut down.  What was that score again?
21-7, probably the same 21 you're going to score this year. I thought even though we had a new staff the offense would be a little better but good job by Ned's D. You won't contain the twins in their 13th game of the new offense though. The twins could be the least of your problems though. 6-4 Raelon Singleton and 6-3 Cullen Lee are the reasons we get 30. Y'all needed that for your psyche last year though because prior to that it was back to back playoff losses against us. When we beat you in the opener it's going to be 3 out of the last 4 with two bus tickets. 8)
The only two teams that scored 30 were Angleton an Georgetown, and Crosby is neither of those teams.  No one else got over 21.
Well seeing as how Ned has NEVER  gotten 30 on us I still like our chances. First game with a new staff last year so y'all got a break. We didn't know Washington was good so there was no plan for him. Before last year the lowest y'all held us to was 25, now we can get 25 on an off night. Y'all had a great d-line last year, that's it. Everything else looked decent because of the issues those guys were causing up front. D-lines don't reallylay bother us now that the kids know where to go. First game of the year with a new qb in our house. . . it could be a no doubter.
 9.
Deunte Chatman played te and olb last year for Summer Creek.
Why didn't he start at rb last year though? SC's backs were decent at best last year. We had a 1000 yard back in Jacoby Scott and Austin took his spot as a sophomore. I know he's not a better rb than Jeffery or he would've started over Aldridge last year. 3 carries in the spring game is about important as the fg's they practice with no rush. Unless he grew 2 inches in a month he's still 5-11. ISounds like he can play but he has to put something on film first.
 10.
in 20-4A you have 5 grass fields and 2 turf fields... So I would say your going to have to be versatile and just like Soulja says... be ready come game day...
It's just the opposite over here. If we didn't have to go to Willis we wouldn't play on grass all year. Other than the New Caney schools and North Forest I can't think of anywhere over here where we play on grass. I wonder why that is?

I understand wanting to get your best athletes in space but having a potential 1500 yards at receiver is kind of questionable when you don't have a proven back.
only seeing this team play 1 time last year if they had a big back like a Jerome Bettis type that could pound the rock up the middle and still be able to sling it around on the edges and over the top they would be even more unstoppable... The O Line did the best I had seen all year of stopping our D Line... I don't think they will need a scat back ... they need someone that requires Defenses to pack the middle to open up the edges... and if the D's ignore the big back threat up the middle and secure the outside they will get run over all night.. again this is a 1 game assessment and I am sure it has its flaws....
All SC has is what are considered big backs in high school. Aldridge was a bigger kid and Braden is pretty thick too. What they need is a quicker back like Walter or Jeffery was last year. They throw it down the field and pound it in but that's working for them. SC's theory is the same as Sulphur Springs when they won the title which was throw to open up the run. You get tired of chasing those receivers down the field and when you do they hit you with those 200 lb backs. It's working though, SC much like us has to figure out how to stop people though.

200 career receiving yards in over 20 games on 15 catches. from what i read he does very well at camps and on his visits.
Well not that we are competing, but Dakota Allen may be highest rated soon.
Dakota only has 2 stars right now. If he balls hard during the spring and summer he can get a third star. Aston, Austin, Raelon, Sharp, and JF already have three stars. Feuerbacher would have four stars but he's a tight end and they aren't as valuable as receivers, offensive tackles, or dbs. Dakota has a couple problems though. One, he doesn't have great tackle numbers for a dominant middle lb in high school which could be due to SC blowing people out and their opponents having to throw a lot. Second and more pressing is that at barely over 6ft he doesn't have very much top end speed which limits his 3rd down ability on the next level. I think he'll play at that 245 range in college and if he can get a little faster with that he has a chance to be a very good FBS linebacker because he scrapes, fights off blocks and fills very well.
Hit your refresh button ;)
I see he picked up his third star after the Nike camp, that makes 8 in the district now. Sharp passed up Feuerbacher on May 17th for the highest rating.

Hard to say who is top dog.
The competition in the district may be weaker but region 3 doesn't compare to region 4 where Calallen plays. Throw in the fact that they're about the size of Ozen and lose the to the eventual state champ about 50% of the time and other than La Marque who has multiple titles nobody in region 3 compares. When is the last time a 4A school other than La Marque won a title from this region? Unless you have multiple titles I think Calallen's success is untouched.
Thanks for helping proove my point. Region 4 has only been successful because of Lake Travis and lets be honest here, they are not exactly a south Texas team are they. Sure Lamarque is the only real title holder from Region 3, but to discredit teams like Brenham, Manvel, Dayton and others that have played for the title recently, but praise Callalen for loosing to Lamarque (best in region 3 for years) over and over again makes little sense. Other than LT, who from R4 has played for a title before this year. And who from south of San Antonio which is who CC Callallen feasted on for years only to loose when they got to some real competition. CCC is a good program, but they dont deserve to be in this convo.
Did you not see the 4a playoffs last year? Cedar Park won the D2 title from region 4 and played Manor who's usually region 4. Meaning the Austin district won our "tough" region. Not only did they win both region 3 titles, all 4 of their playoff teams would have gone three rounds deep had it not been for Ned. Next year Georgetown will be back in region 4 so you really can't count them as playing for a title from region 3. The year Manvel went to state they beat Calallen by three in the semis and Dayton by 39 in the third round. Manvel also had nearly a 1000 kid enrollmet advantage. The year before that La Marque blew out Dayton, Manvel and then Calallen in the semis before losing to Aledo in the title game. IJS, Cedar Park, Smithson Valley, New Braunfels, Alamo Heights, Calallen, and Travis 5 times in the last decade have played for 4a titles. you might as well throw in Georgetown too because that's usually where they play. While region 2 still dominates everybody region 4 has a leg up on us in the semifinal battles and it gets even worse in 5a. It would be ugly be it not for Katy.
 24. Devlin Isadore, former NC Porter qb and 2013 projected starter at Ike picks up his first offer from SMU without playing a game at his new school. I believe he made the move for athletic purposes which is fine with me. I don't think he gets that offer if he stays at Porter. That's a six figure private school scholarship at SMU so congrats Devlin and his family.
 25. Utah commit Raelon Singleton picked up his first Big 12 offer from the Iowa St. Cyclones giving him 9 total.
