I see Dakota Allen getting some love on the recruiting scene. He must of looked good at the NFTC in Dallas. Here's what the offers I can find in district 19-4a look like right now. Jordan Feuerbacher, TE, Kingwood Park - 8 offers. He has 13 career receptions in two years but he blocks well on film and undoubtedly catches the ball well in camps. I read somewhere he wants to go to A&M though and they could use him after Griffin didn't sign last year or they don't land Koda Martin. [Hidden Content] Dakota Allen, ILB, Summer Creek - 7 offers. Plays the game like a high school London Fletcher and given the fact that he'll probably weigh around 240 not long after he arrives on campus he could contend early for playing time in the right system and close his career with over 30 starts. I think he's perfect for the Big 10 and their power run games. [Hidden Content] Raelon Singleton , WR, Crosby - 6 offers. (I hear he has 8 offers but I can't confirm). Very, very raw but unlike Feuerbacher there's production to go with his potential. He had 125 receiving in Dayton and 157 more against a Manor team in the playoffs who I thought was the second best team we played all year behind SC. He had over 600 receiving yards last year in his first year back playing football and could have over 1000 this year with Justin Walter at Henderson St. His offers could double by the fall if he catches the ball well on the camp circuit. [Hidden Content] Austin Walter, RB, Crosby - 5 offers. (Doesn't show Rice). 10 ypc and 24 yards shy of 2000 last year to go with over 4000 total yards from scrimmage the first two years he's been in the backfield. I've watched the film on all the top backs in the state and country and think Joe Mixon is the best back in the country, Donald Catalon the best back in the state. Only thing stopping him from being a four star is the tape measure 'cause everything else is elite. [Hidden Content]; *Filthiest film in the SETX - [Hidden Content]] Aaron Sharp, QB, Summer Creek - 4 offers. 6,749 yards 66tds with just 16 ints in pretty much two years of work. (Threw for 1,122 as a freshman). 24th rated dual-threat qb in the country by rivals even though I believe he's just a mobile pro-style qb. QBs and kickers do their work at camps but he's on the verge of getting a few big time offers also. [Hidden Content] Aston Walter, QB, Crosby - 2 offers. (Committed to Rice). Playing out of position, would dominate if he got an opportunity to play the position Justin Walter did last year. Same size and stature as Phillip Beck who is in the state record books for his 2200 yards receiving season at Crosby but a heck of a lot better natural athlete.  [Hidden Content] * I'm going to do another one for the next tier of kids that don't have offers but will probably play in college somewhere, I just can't find consistent sizes.
Man, i knew these kids were great athletes, but Jeezz!! Those runs were crazy good against some talented defenses too.
I'm tired after just watching video of Austin Walter.  I didn't know anyone could run that much.  I saw 4.7 40 time, which is obviously incorrect, but he is certainly not 4.2-4.3 either.  What is a 'legit' 40 time on him?
He ran 4.5 on the grass at his Louisiana-Lafayette recruiting trip but that's the only for sure time I know as of late. He ran 4.73 at the Nike camp in Dallas but they ran on the electronics which are very tricky if you don't practice. I think Tony Brown's 4.37 was the fastest at the camp but nobody on Ozen's squad caught him last year on his way to 221 yards and almost 10 a carry.

We got almost 900 from the slot with Justin Walter last year and Aston would probably push that total to around 1500 if he played there but I think the staff still realizes twin left, twin right, twin keep, twin throw it to Raelon is the best option for a shot at a regional title. *I would say SC won because they have the big 4A enrollment but this time they did it at state so that argument is null and void which is why even though I like SC I though that was a weak a argument saying Georgetown was supposed to be a 5a school. Y'all have 29.5 more kids per Comeaux's post. You just have to admit when you get rolled sometime. Y'all go win a state title against every other 2000+ enrollment school and all I have to say is, "D*&^, them boys from Humble are fast". Good job SC and Sharp might as well commit now. TCU might offer now from what I've seen and he's like number 9 on the A&M list. Briles coached RG3 and is a Texas high school legend, enough said. 8)
Cougar14, now you know only 1 person was saying Georgetown was winning because they are 5a, don't make it seem like it was the entire fan base. And you are right, Summer Creek is just fast like that, that doesn't have anything to do with enrollment. I saw 1A running and I saw a few kids that will dust anybody from anywhere. If you can run, you can run. And you said UH is Sharp best offer, why are you saying he should commit now? Are you talking about Baylor?
Yeah, and there's an African in the woods who can beat Usain Bolt. You know what I'm saying It Is. The team title is because of those relays though. I know y'all are fast but Chance Casey got back to back hurdle state titles and went to Baylor also. I think he ended up with about 30 career starts but yeah, Baylor is what I was talking about for Sharp. RG3 was a track athlete(hurdle champ) too and Art Briles is starting to put together an excellent resume. Kevin Sumlin's offense at A&M is basically what he learned from Briles at UH. Look at Case Keenum's numbers and look at Nick Florence's numbers from their senior years under Sumlin and Briles respectively. Now look at RG3 with Briles and Johnny Football's numbers with Sumlin. Same offense except now Sumlin has the better players. There's about 10 head coaches in the country that are known as "quarterback guys" such Bobby Petrino, David Cutcliffe, Jeff Tedford, Steve Spurrier and so on. Briles is one of those guys now, and not to mention it's a private school education.
 4.
Generation Park is supposed to build 3000 apartments across Beltway 8 from Summer Creek High. It is not known yet if they will be zoned to Humble ISD. If they are zoned to HISD, the planned 6th new high school in HISD will be built sooner than later. The 4,000-acre wooded site off the northeastern elbow of Beltway 8, has sold the first major tract in Generation Park to FMC Technologies, makers of subsea, wellhead and other equipment for the oil and gas industry. FMC Technologies purchased 173 acres on the west side of Beltway 8 and is assessing its plans for the site.
You think they would zone them to Aldine ISD? Westfield already has nearly 4000. They'll probably use the Beltway for the cut off like they do between North Shore and Channelview.
This is what i found...  [Hidden Content] these are the formulas they use... you can click the above link to review the entire document.. FORMULAS A participant school shall be classified for assignment to a conference on the basis of enrollment on a date from the previous October. The formulas used to determine enrollment shall be: 1. Schools with four high school grades (9-12) or three high school grades (10-12) which will receive incoming tenth graders from specific, identifiable schools: Enrollment = Grades 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 2. Schools with only grades 10-12 when it cannot easily be determined which schools the ninth graders will attend as tenth graders: Enrollment = Grades (10 + 11 + 12) x 1.33 3. Schools with only grades 11-12 when it cannot easily be determined which schools the tenth graders will attend as eleventh graders: Enrollment = Grades (11 + 12) x 2
I intended to click on it and save the link and ended up reading it from top to bottom. Very useful information. Interesting how as long as the football is right everything else is negotiable. Looks like you could probably move your enrollment 50 or so in some cases. I wonder if that's how Friendswood does it?

 7.
If Hopkins is not at the top he won't be far from it, I'm not basing this purely on yards gained either, he plays in a balanced system and sometimes the individual stats don't always jump out at you. But the opponents will sure as heck see a lot of his tail lights this year.
Hopkins is probably the best returning back in the district but not necessarily the best back overall. He reminds me of Albert Hardy who ran for a bunch of yards at GP but was limited in his versatility. Probably still going to get a good scholarship if Ned has a decent season though. A balanced offense doesn't mean anything though. We passed for over 2000 yards and Austin still had 1,976 rushing. If you can go all balance does is help, not hurt your numbers.
 8. I've also been reading that Dakota Allen, (ILB) Summer Creek, was probably going to commit to TCU? Any truth to that?
 9. Jordan Feuerbacher, (TE) Kingwood Park, committed to Baylor yesterday. Congrats to Jordan and his family.
 10. So you're saying Isadore is transferring and probably going to start for a 5a playoff team but the backup qb for Porter was better? Maybe you can make that argument for Kellen Haynes when Brian Johnson transferred from Crosby to Baytown Lee but I don't know about that one. Isadore was far and away their best player from what I saw, the coach just needed to call some down field plays and open it up a little.
 11.
Only way Crosby goes D1 if they make the playoffs is if 2 of these 3 teams make the playoffs ~ Barbers Hill 1287,Porter 1366 & New Caney 1400.I don't see that happening this year. Can't see only 1 team out of Summer Creek,Dayton,Kingwood Park & King making the playoffs.Dayton who sits at 1446 is over Crosby 1440.So whether Dayton makes the playoffs or not will not affect Crosby being D1.Numbers are Attendance figures.                                           ( 1 ) Summer Creek - Could be making a mistake playing movin A.J.Jeffrey at WR.Better than any RB they have.                                           ( 2 ) Crosby - If the defense >>>> well ya'll know !                                           ( 3 a) Kingwood Park - Scrappy bunch of kids returning.Coach learns not to freeze his own kicker                                           ( 3b ) Dayton - Who knows who will show up !                                           ( 3 c )Barbers Hill - Never liked that offense.Needs Denny at QB                                             ( 6 ) Humble - Lot of underclassmen got playing time last year.                                             ( 7 )Porter - Returning QB                                             ( 8 ) King - No returning offense or Defensive linemen plus loss of Jeffrey could make King Cellar dwellars.                                             ( 9 ) New Caney - Lots of returning players but the offense is BOOOORRRRIIIINNNGG !!
I didn't think King would make it but I forgot KP had 1600+ kids. That means Dayton's playing D2 if KP got in.
 12. 19-4A 1. Summer Creek - mostly because of Sharp. I thought #76 from last year was SC's best defensive player and he's gone. SC gave up big yardage to Georgetown, Vidor, and Crosby last year but their "forget the D, we're just going to outscore you" philosophy might just work this year with Georgetown not expected to be as potent. Probably going to be Dawson, SC or depending on who makes the playoffs, Marshall for the D1 representative in region 3. 2. Crosby - haven't lost more than 2 district games in 8 years and I think at least 6-2 would get second place. Crosby opens with Ned in Cougar Stadium and has the chance to go 3-1 the last 4 meetings against the Dogs. Austin Walter has more career rushing yards than any other returning rb in 4A next year with over 3500. Aston is not too shabby his self with nearly 3500 career passing yards while adding 1600 rushing. Raelon Singleton has 8 FBS offers to play receiver and could be unguardable in district play next year. Return all o-line starters except one and 8 total on the offense. Don't have to wait long to see what the Cougars are about, 4 of their first 5 are Ned, BH, Dayton, and SC. We're definitely playing D2 unless Dayton doesn't make the playoffs so I think it's Marshall(maybe), Texas City, Elgin and Crosby as the favorites for the region 3 crown. T3. Kingwood Park - they only bring back 4 or 5 starters on defense and lost all but 1 of their starting offensive linemen which isn't good because their so run heavy but Jordan Feuerbacher returns at TE and ranked top 5 in the state. He's not much of a threat in the passing game only having 13 receptions for 205 yards in 21 career games but he blocks extremely well and is a threat in the redzone. The reason I put them third is because all of their skill position players on offense come back which is extremely valuable. They played Crosby tough but were blown out against the other 3 playoff teams they faced so they're going to have to be able to play very clean and a bit more physical but they're big and disciplined and should give teams fits. T3. Dayton - really just because they're Dayton but they have a couple issues. They're still pretty young to start off with and no one seems to know who the qb is going to be but either way he's going to be a first year non-senior starter facing some pretty good district competition, even from the likes of Humble and King. Dayton does have a good core of play-makers coming back with the McBrides, Isiah Chambers and Jaq Keener though so it's probably going to be 18 straight playoff appearances for the Broncos. 5. Barbers Hill - I really think BH could switch with KP and we have the same teams as last year. I put them 5th because they usually miss the playoffs every few years since they've been 4A, plus nobody knows if Denny is really playing. Either way they just don't match up well with Crosby and SC and I think they get one more loss in the other 6 games and finish the district season 5-3 like they did last year. BH has to almost play perfect to beat people with the scheme they run. I wonder if it's not time to add the forward pass to the playbook. 6. Humble - boys looked good when they got off the bus last year. They had size and speed but were basically North Forest when they were in this district. Great athletes but it's just not clicking right now, should be better than last year but I still think they finish with only 3 or 4 wins. 7. C.E. King - lost their best player to free agency so I don't see how they finish with more than the three district wins they had last year. One thing I did notice is that they didn't lose a game to a team that finished the season with less than 6 wins but even with the caliber of athletes they have an overall 4-6 or 3-7 record is what they're most likely headed for.    T9. Porter - Devlin Isadore, the Spartan qb is actually probably going to get a scholarship so there is a bit of talent there. They weren't a small team at all but they weren't very physical either. Whoever wins the NCISD battle will get to remove the T and put an 8 by their name. T9. New Caney - ran one play last year and were shut out in 5 district games. If they add a sweep to the playbook maybe they will only get shut out in half their district games next year. I don't see how that coach isn't on the hotseat.
 13.
anyone know the last time two brothers went to the same college at the same time to play ball? or is this a first? I know brothers have attended the same school, but at different times?
Last set I remember are the Rodgers brothers out of Lamar Consolidated, James and Jaquizz. James was one year older and Jaq held the state td record when he left for Oregon St. It was pretty cool because James played all four years but Jaq played 3 and was drafted by the Falcons so they left at the same time. D'onta and Armanti Foreman might go to the same school too since Armanti decommitted from OU. I think Armanti Foreman is the best twin in the state, KD Cannon is more polished as a receiver but I also think he's the best of those too -  [Hidden Content]

So while coug14 is predicting a win i still think it is unlikely.  Im actually thinking there might be devine intervention involved here.
basically Dayton owns Crosby?
basically Dayton owns Crosby!  8)
I have no problem admitting that for now. Look back at the records, Crosby used to own Dayton. Once Stewart's luster fades so is that record but if I was Dayton and had been to the playoffs 17 years straight I would be confident too. I hate to say it but most years you can chalk us up for a Dayton loss and we're still going to the playoffs 9 straight years. We've always been near the top of the district talent wise but now the kids seem to be grasping this team thing. Riordan is 1-1 against Dayton with a state title and we have a Tyrik Rollison in the school system so I'm confident things are going to change record wise. Matter of fact if they don't I'm probably sending my sons to North Shore with their cousins.
you talk about the stewart luster but forget about years like 04 and 05. Stewart was the coach during those 1 and done years. In fact dayton had a 6-5 year thrown in there. Side note. Still beat crosby . Stewart was a great coach who also happens to live within 100yds of the football stadium and still is the ad. Having said that his best years record wise were with great talent. Last year dayton was very young on offense starting 5 sophmores. One of which was the newcomer of the year. So while stew might not be the head coach he is still there and hancock was 9-2 last year which isnt to shabby. Side note hancock is 2-0 against crosby as a head coach. Dayton has a great group of young talent so i say lets see what happens the next couple of years before you crown crosby and put the broncos out to pasture. Also saying you would put your kids in north shore is not very smart. They have one of the highest enrollments in texas and consistently underachieve with the talent they have. My friends son plays there and hates the coaching.
North Shore won almost 80 straight district games at one point. Maybe they should have more than one title but your're talking about trying to win a championship against some of the best teams in the country in 5a-D1. Aymond's coaching has always been questionable but since 1995 North Shore has the most D1-A signees in the state of Texas. Of my last three cousins to go there one got a football scholarship to Southern Illinois, one was an all-american, one started three years on the basketball team and had a decent college career. Tim Cornett was the backup rb to Tracy Woods his senior year and started at UNLV as a true freshman. If you can play you can play no matter where you go. I would gladly take two or three rounds deep in the playoffs every single year for my boys to get the kind of looks those kids get not to mention they've had probably 10 guys make NFL rosters the last decade. Scholarships are a given to those kids over there, they think NFL and got the field house wall to prove it. Individual workouts or 1 on 1's are gold when you can practice against linemen going to Texas or receivers going to Alabama. All that being said, I have about a dozen nephews and little cousins along with my own three sons that will be attending Crosby over the next decade and some change so unless something dire happens there will be at least a few more Cougar14's. . . starting next year when my little cub straps it up against North Shore in the 7th grade opener.  ;)

Yes they still have sharp and the transfer RB so I see them being as good as they were last year but not better and I see Ned being not as good. Heck I'll even go as far to say central (or png depending on how good there freshman are) will challenge them for the crown.
Ned was good last year because they suffocated you with that pressure from the d-line, mainly with Washington who will be back next year but he won't have that same caliber help he did last year and teams can give him more attention. Ned's d was great last year but the offense was middle of the road. You just couldn't get much done last year against them without them being in your backfield. Ned isn't going to put 40 on you like SC will though, SC couldn't stop people like Ned last year though. I think Ned still puts that 20 or 21 on you next year but they'll hard pressed to keep people in the teens having lost their 2nd through 5th or 6th best defenders. Good thing about it we won't have to wait long to see where  Ned stands as well as the bi-districts since the Dogs and Coogs get it on in the Den week 1.

Luckily we have playoffs to see just how accurate rankings are.
I agree, we put 605 yards and 63 points on Willis. Austin ran for 340 yards on like 17 carries. They do have a player named Chris Platt committed to Baylor but they were totally overmatched. He's number 14 and is recruited as a receiver but the majority of his film is at safety which is probably what he's going to play in the Big 12.
Marshall is a monster but Manor beat them in the quarterfinals last year and SC would have beaten Manor soundly so I think that's probably right. Texas City is a beast with the Foreman twins which Armanti is an All-American. I think Dawson is going to be AP pre-season top 3 in the state with a bunch returning. 17-4a which is the Austin district is a beast though. Georgetown, Manor, and Elgin all made it three rounds deep and Connally lost to Ned in the second round. No matter what the rankings say, Austin owns the region until someone says differently.

 20. I can't believe I almost got 7% of the vote so far. I try to bring perspective to this board so the people that don't know what perspective means can soak up some of this knowledge. . .  but I see to a small percentage of you you can't respect the savant-like qualities of my work. :( .  .  .  .  .  .  or maybe there's more than 4 computers in Vidor?  :P

But that's only justification from what we can see today, the 2013 season will be built starting in the summer for the most part.
didnt sc have the same record the year before and a first round bow out to a weak mw team. Seems like they recovered for a descent year in 2012. I hope everybody counts dayton out because of their youth. It will make 2013 that much sweeter. Also you cant listen to coug14 its makes you make statements like kw park will beat dayton. Come on man.
Dang man, I wasn't going to make one comment on this thread. Listen to me about what? I like KP over BH if Denny doesn't play but I still think Dayton gets in 3rd or 4th. I was told by one of my trusted sourced that the Shaq kid didn't look close to being ready to start on varsity and if you put Keener back there you pretty much neutralize your best position player. I saw Keener throw and he's not going to beat good teams with his arm. Y'all overstated lil Mc being a prodigy too. 5-3 in the district is probably going to get in the playoffs and since y'all are Dayton I think y'all will at least do that. IJS, y'all scored 27 pts the last 3 games of the season once the film was in and lost your three best offensive players in Chambers, McBride, and Aubre. SC, Crosby, and KP bring almost everybody back and all three finished trending up. Dayton plays @Crosby and @SC,  I think they lose both but if they beat BH and KP then you still get in. What's wrong with that Bronco?
your trusted source must not be a coach. Also shaq can play any skilled position on the field. Please explain kp trending up. Is it because they almost beat crosby. i sure didnt see it when dayton pounded them. Nobody ever said kyle was a prodigy he just looked that way against crosby.
KP played Dayton earlier in the year. They couldn't get better as the year progressed 'cause Bronco fans swore BH got ''salty'' after we rolled them? Someone did call lil Mcbride a prodigy last year, twins looked a lot better as sophs. though. KP finished on a good note going into next season, Dayton finished squeaking by BH, loss, loss. Who is this mystery kid that's fast with the great arm, or is it a secret? Our qbs are Aston and a kid named Tristan Cotton who should get plenty of run this year, or should I have kept that secret?
dayton played kp week 7. Kp got killed the following week by sc. Then beat nc and ck and a squeaker with crosby. Maybe crosby was trending down. Dayton got beat by 2 really good teams and won the other nine.
Dayton won one more game than Crosby and that was against each other. That Ned game was about equal but the only other common opponent Dayton outplayed Crosby against was KP. Dayton didn't move the ball the last three weeks of the season. The teams we lost to were a state semifinalist or finished the season ranked in the top 10. We were young last year and had issues executing in crucial situations like a lot of young teams do. After SC we won 6 straight and had a double digit lead in the third quarter against semifinalist Manor before an inexplicable collapse. Dayton literally couldn't move the ball against BH, SC or Ned. I think y'all had somewhere around 400 yards total in those three games while we averaged almost 400 in those games. I wouldn't necessarily call that trending down but I don't have horse s*&% in my front yard either. 8)
No but you have kitten hairs flying everywhere. A bit more annoying than horse poop. But I am curious.. what is your logic on the alias name coug8bronco... since you made that AFTER Dayton stomped your kitties... shouldn't that have been broncos8cougs?
