I saw the kid today and he said he's going to be a mustangs. Him and 2015 Alabama commit Deionte will be the best safety tandem in the state
Still won't be the best safety tandem in the state, those boys from Timberview are far and away the best tandem and have 30-40 offers between them. Bonney and the other guy he plays with at Lamar are better also. There's more tandems that will be better also due to Texas being loaded down with running backs and safetys over the next couple of years. WOS might be the best 3a group though.
 2. Looks like old D.Chatman is fading fast. The more camps he goes to now the lower he's ranked when he comes back. He just recently fell 45 spots in the Rivals rankings behind the kids that actually produced last year, what a coincidence. They had him there as a running back but I think once he got there with some real backs like Chris Warren he got exposed, now he's rated over 3 times lower than he was after the  Nike camp. Another issue is that he says he's 6-1 but Nike says he's only 5-11. I watched the film of the spring game on SC's defense and other than a BH ego there's not many things that wouldn't have gotten through those holes. I know he ran 4.5 in Dallas but he lacks game speed for a running back, especially top end speed which is why he got ran down from behind. Conversely, Austin Walter runs 4.5 and Tony Brown couldn't catch him. I personally think he's a copy of Keevon Aldridge and Jordan Braden. LB looks to be his best position because he's not matching up with the backs in his class other than the bench press and a 40. Watch out for those camps Chatman, they built you up, they can also break you down
 3. Not the best defensive teams but the best 15 teams in Texas based on wins, titles and strength of schedule since 2003. Interesting they have Lake Travis at number 14. [Hidden Content]
 4.
combines and camps do matter in college football recruiting because I feel that tony brown of ozen is very overrated because he is considered the " combine king' but did not even make first all-district this year.Deunte Chatman has performed very well at each camp and combine he has attended and if you look at the spring game tape ,he has the potential to be something special and he will be just a junior coming up.
I ain't trying to knock you but but I'm just saying you can't call a kid that already test better than most NFL DBS overrated. Going into his junior year like you are Tony already had 191 tackles, 30 and I do repeat 30 pass break ups, 4 picks and  a forced fumble. You've scored 1 touchdown on a pass play. He could do that when he was 15, and probably run a 4.4. That was then, he doesn't have to be all district as a junior to let Mack, Miles and Saban know he can play because they've seen it already AND he tests well. You already test so well that if you can play at all you'll get a D1 scholarship which is the reason you don't have an offer now, nobody knows if you can even play. Looks like you should be able to but let us see that first because YOU'RE the one that might not be all district. Walter and O'Neal will be first team, McBride will be second team so that only leaves one spot and KP runs it a lot. Good luck to you though, I'll be at Turner in a sea of red to see what you got.
 5.
Wonder if Tony will visit the Oregon Campus thoroughly before he leaves?  ;D
He might have for fun. I'm not a genie but I'm almost certain he's going to LSU with his sister Beloved who will be there on a track scholarship next year. Alabama and Texas are probably tied for second IMO. Like  i said though, barring injury he's probably only stays three years wherever it may be.
 6.
You need to hold down all that overrated talk. First you say Brown is overrated because of camps, then you backdoor and say you have potential because of what you've done in camps. You're rated as the 22 sophomore in the state, in front of guys like JW Ketchum who took his team to the 4th round and has several offers already. You're also rated in front of Chris Warren who's probably UT's top running back target(might be Soso Jambao). Tony Brown is probably going to end his career with 45 varsity starts, you on the other hand still might not start as a junior and definitely wouldn't if Jeffery was back there. You couldn't get off the line, run around or over Brown. He already killed you at the Dallas camp and you're still bumping. Hold that overrated noise down young man because if it wasn't for combines and camps you would be a nobody as far as football recruiting went. That kid is probably going to be a first or second round pick, you on the other hand still don't even have a highlight tape.
 7. I watched the championships last night and Brown would have brought the trophy home to Beaumont if he could jump, he only had a 35" vertical. The kid has elite straight-line speed and and may change directions better than anybody in the country. He's also about 190 lbs already which tells me he's going to be a beast in press coverage if he can get his hands on you, but has more than enough speed to recover if he misses. Rather he picks LSU or Alabama I doubt he spends more than three years in college unless he gets hurt or just wants to graduate. Beaumont might not be winning much anymore but they keep pumping kids into the NFL.

SMH. Kid is an athlete with natural instinct. Get his highlight film out there! Surely he took the SAT or ACT. Lamar could use him on the field, along with Sam Houston and SFA.
no one let him down. when you pretty much say all season that you are taking a year mission trip after high school, not many schools if any are going to show interest. interesting to find out if this is just rumor though.
I feel what you're saying My Two but don't believe that. Utah, BYU, and numerous other schools take kids all the time who go on missions, and not just one year sabbaticals. Vidor's offense killed MQ's chance at being recruited on the offensive side of the ball. That offense is a gimmick and doesn't really translate to college recruiters and he's small for a college lb. He could probably play lb at a lower division school but could struggle in NCAA pass coverages. Recruiters don't mind missions, it actually frees up current scholarships and fills later classes. Good luck to him though, maybe none of the recruiters know what they're talking about.
If y'all can find it somewhere I said about 6 months ago Armanti was the second best receiver in the state. D'onta is the true definition of a load-back. Might not be a harder runner in the state, that being said I think he'llall end up playing linebacker at UT. Best set of twins iI've ever seen though.
They telling that RB that he can play RB there. I thought they already had 2 committed backs already. Maybe they just want the brother so bad, the WR
D'onta wouldn't have gotten an offer if they weren't drooling for Armanti. D'onta is a lot like Peter Jinkens UT signed out of Skyline, a rb/lb combo who probably could have played both in college but at elite programs you get elite backs and Foreman isn't one of those. Kid is a monster though, I'm good friends with Tate Smith's dad who plays tight end and he told me Donta was pound for pound the strongest player on TC's team. Catalon is already committed and UT has 3 offers out to the loaded 2015 class of backs already. I think UT's lb crew will be Santos as the mike, Foreman and Alaka in a couple years.

 11.
Dumdogs is just yapping. The only problem i see is crosby would be loaded at wr and not have as good of a passing qb as huffman had. Townley was a very good passing qb and walters while a great athlete is average at best.
What they didn't have at Huffman was a 2000 yard back you had to respect though. If you watch Chase's film there's safety help over the top on almost every play. You do that here and Walter is liable to put 200 on you. Townley was a better passer that Aston but he was throwing into tight windows and often double coverage, Chase would be allowed to go 1 v 1 over here and the throws wouldn't be as hard to complete. There's also several passes on that film that i think 4a dbs would pick off that instead were turned into highlight plays on smaller and weaker competition. Huffman also ran an SC type offense where they just drop straight back no matter what the coverage and negate the running game. Over here we can playaction kids open like we did Raelon last season,  Huffman never handed the ball off and could care less about a fake even with 6 dbs in the game. We'll see how it plays out though.
If your not familiar with Cole and Chase Harrell ("Spot and Dot"). The brothers played junior high football at Hull-Daisetta, then their mother found a better job and moved them to Huffman, now Crosby is rumor. Both are WR's, Cole is a senior and Chase a junior. Cole is 6'0 205 4.6 and Chase is 6'5 200 4.6. Both kids have the ability to play D-1 ball. Youtube their highlights. To bad H-D lost them. SMH
The younger brother Chase definitely will play D1. He had over 1100 receiving yards last year as a sophomore, Texas and Georgia are all over him. When they played 7 on 7 in Crosby earlier this summer Cole was playing qb so I didn't get to see what he really had at receiver but he looks good on the film i just watched. If the transfer thing is true then Chase would play opposite of Raelon giving us two 6-4 wideouts and putting 6-3 200lb Cullen Lee in the slot. Cole would play the other slot position giving us 4 receivers over 6' and in the 190-200 lb range. Sounds good for Austin who would almost certainly average over 10 ypc again with that many kids on the field having to be respected. We threw for nearly 340 on SC last year with a couple drops that would have changed the game and gave us well over 400 yards. That's not really our game but if we have these two kids it could be an option instead of the requirement it turned into last year. I hope it's true.
Cole was injured last season, missed half the season. Cole is a better route runner. Chase blew away the Texas coaches at camp this summer, at 6'5 200 he is a beast. Good kids, I have known them since their 6th grade year, they played junior high football with my brother at H-D. Both will play D-1 ball, wish H-D still had them. Crosby will be scary if they play there.
Word on the street is they're a couple of big softies.
Nobody in the district plays more finesse than SC. You do realize even before these kids that might have transferred that AJ Jeffrey wouldn't start at received here but he does at SC and is most likely going to he the #2 option. Not to knock the kid but the Crosby kids said he can't even catch. IDK how valid that is but that's the word on the street over here. IDK how bad we will be after this year either. We'll be young but we should have the best defense we've had in a while in '14. Austin's replacement will be a kid named Taylor Perry who a lot of people feel will be the best rb in our history and probably has a sophomore season comparable to Austin's 1485 he put up as a soph. Jordan Hill will replace Raelon and might already be better than him, he has a twin brother and they're bot already 6-2. Aston's going to be replaced by either Tristan Cotton who some want to start as a soph. this year or Manny Netherly who's 6-3 and the fastest kid coming to high school, he's won everything in track. I know Riordan is looking at this kid as his next Tyrik Rollison. We also have this kid named Shamal Gray who could end up being the best of them all if he can stay on the field. We won't be as good in '14 as we will be this year but the cupboard is pretty full over here. If Chase went to school here he would probably get close to 100 targets his senior year and have another 1000 yard season which would actually be very beneficial to his recruitment.
 13. Not so sure about these 2015 top 100 rankings. They have the nerve to rank D.Chatman in front Chris Warren who I think is the second best 2015 back in the state. They also have him ranked in front of the kid I think is the best 2015 qb in the region in J.W. Ketchum of FB Marshall. Keener has produced more also and Chatman is ranked twice as high. 14. Sharp did decommit from Utah yesterday and commit to Kansas St. I think that was an excellent career choice for the young man. Snyder already turned two former Texas high school dual threats people passed on into college stars and Aaron has all the ability to be the next. Good luck to the young man and I look forward to following him.

 16.
I'm hearing Aaron Sharp from SC, decommits from Utah and Commits to K- state, because of Family agreement....should the child consider family in his decision ? My answer is yes, especially if you have a tight and close family. The kid will always need that support system and I just think its easier when you are close or closer to home
I won't pick my son's school for him but I'll definitely narrow it down to either/or. While 17 and 18 year old kids can great football players, most aren't very good decision makers. A recruiter can sell a kid a dream but a parent has to be rudder and steer the kid away from half truths and incorrect information. K.St might be stiffer overall competition but I think it's a much better career choice for various reasons. Tell Aaron, Cunningham hasn't committed to Baylor yet for some reason, I'm beginning to think he's going to stay out west. Hard to go from Vegas to Waco. I would be asking Kendall what the deal is personally.
I think he went to Utah because they had less competition than the other BCS schools. Only issue with that is Utah signed a kid named Brandon Cox this February that enrolled early and went through Spring ball. He was hurt for the Spring game(slight build like Sharp) but the Utah people say they expect him to take over the starting job from soph. Travis Wilson which means Sharp has a kid who's literally a mirror image of himself that he'll be in competition with for three and possibly all four years he's at Utah. Cox was a 3 year starter at what we would consider 5a in California and was the 17th rated dual-threat in the country by rivals just like Sharp is. What's even more eerie is that they're both southpaw and about 6-2.5 and 185 lbs. Sharp is a more polished passer from what I see on the film but Cox has a better stroke even though he loads up a little which I think can be fixed with strength training. He's also a better and more willing runner. I think Aaron could still possibly beat him out in a couple of years but if Cox doesn't redshirt and plays well it could be very tough to get on the field. It might have been easier to beat out Cunningham who doesn't even have a varsity start yet. Good luck to him though, maybe he'll be the next Brian Johnson. To the best of my knowledge Kellen Haynes 4,130 pass yards is the most in district history). H-D's program on the other hand is more up and down than a lady of the night.  8)
Crosby was a bottom of the barrel program until 2005. When Crosby wins 4 State Titles, has a national record 43 game winning streak and gets over 530 wins... then we might compare Crosby to HD's winning tradition.  8) ;) ;D
I just now saw this and I know we don't compare tradition wise but we did go to the playoffs 11 of the last 20 years prior to our current 8 year streak with a few district titles. It's absolutely nothing of note but it's no bottom of the barrel either. We had bad coaching and a lack of certain dynamics to put it lightly but we're straight now.

We should rush for something in the 4000 yard range this year.
crosby has everybody back and plays dayton at home. Please no excuses when dayton wins again. This better be the year crosby does it because if not it might be a while. Side note. Crosby will not rush for 4000 yds unless they go deep in the playoffs.
We rushed for over 3000 last year with Riordan refusing to give the ball to Austin some games which caused him to check out of games for stretches mentally. I think Austin gets around 22-2600 by himself with Aston throwing in another 9-1100. I think we could doit in 13 games. I'm not sure about it being a while after this year either, I think we probably lose in 2014 but the class that will be freshmen next year has another 5 d1 kids. 3 Of them were dunking last year in 8the grade and if you think Walter can run the ball picture Chance Casey with power 'cause that's who's next in line by the name of Taylor Perry. There's a receiver who's actually a football player first that will be bigger than Raelon and isone of the ones dunking already. The qb was the fastest kid in the middle school and is already over 6-2 with a cannon, he was the jv qb wearing number 18 during  7 on 7 if anybody saw. My son's class is also full of beast but i think the reason Crosby is starting to have a lot of these kids is because the enrollment is going up. The 80 something million dollar bond passed says the new school they're building is supposed to be able to house up to 2800 kids. I think my son's class has over 450 kids which tells me we're going to be close to 1800 enrollment by the time he graduates. Just like way back in the day when Crosby played for a state title and Dayton was pulling a vacuum, it switched during the Stewart era. Now it's about to switch back with Riordan and increased enrollment.
My sons class had over 450... But by the time Graduation came, they were down to 283... So your son's class #'s mean nothing... Class Enrollment drops in every school Due to transfers, sadly teen pregnancy, just dropping out, etc....
I don't live in Dayton though . . . .
Did you not read that part of my comment?
If y'all lost over 170 kids which which was almost 40% of the class that's a Dayton issue. My class started with 300 and graduated 243 back when they didn't care if you skipped or didn't go. 40% of our kids won't move away or get pregnant, people actually move to Crosby instead of away from Dayton. That's awfully sad for your son's class but out issues aren't that serious.

I don't live in Dayton though . . . .
Crosby loses a bunch of games in middle school for whatever reason, plus report cards came out. I said dunking a basketball because if you show me a kid barely 6' dunking at that age i'll show you an explosive athlete. Jumping is a lot like a power clean, it's a good barometer of overall athleticism. Haven't ended a football season before the playoffs started in 9 years. We are a dismal 31-1 the last two years in district play on the hardwood though including a 4th round loss last year so you got me there RH.
James White (Knicks player) can jump out the gym, cant play a lick of 5 on 5 ball but can jump out the gym, gets cut alot but can jump out the gym, cant land a significant role on a team but can jump out the gym.
Which is the reason he's in the NBA to begin with. The reason he doesn't play is because he can't dribble, shoot, or pass which is important in basketball. I said jumping is a measure of explosiveness not production. These kids produced already which is why I even made the comment about what level athlete they are.
I don't see offensive linemen jumping around on the field, sorry.
But you did see JJ Watt be a top 15 pick after he got dominated in the Rose Bowl against TCU because he could jump which translated into 16 batted passes(most all time) and a defensive player of the year award. Same thing for Boss Bailey draft-wise  except his didn't translate, he still picked up several million while he was there though which isn't bad just for a good combine vertical.
It's exciting to see Crosby and Dayton jocky for 2nd best team in the district.  ;D Would be amazingly hysterical if both team lose to BH.  OMG.  Just stay off the forum the week after if that happens.
Y'all are one hit away from missing the playoffs. That big d-tackle y'all had last year was the best player on y'alls defense and he's gone along with Greg Holden. Y'all can't run the ball and yout give up a bunch of yards. Your two best receivers are 5-8 and you're gambling on what you saw in the spring game to provide sorely needed depth at rb. If Sharp turns it over a time or two that could be all we need. Raelon WILL catch those passes this year.
