That game was a disgrace to Texas High School Football. It should have never been that close. On the opening kick Crosby drove right down the field inside the 5 and they called two or three phantom penalties on us to back us up. Next there was a ''muffed'' punt Walter never touched, three refs got together and said Crosby ball while a single ref got super demonstrative flailing his arms pointing towards KP. The replay showed he never touched it. After that KP got a touchdown where the kid fell out of the side of the end zone on KP's side and was juggling ball, the kid never had it until he was laying on his back out of bounds. When they showed the replay even the KP fans went ''oooohhh'' because they know they got a gift. I bet we only had 3 possesions in the first half because of that horrible officiating. Somebody from Crosby even sent the tape to the UIL. Everytime we broke a run they called it back, both of the twins would have rushed for over 200 yards. KP was playing for their playoff life and it seemed like the refs knew it. Our o-line was blasting people of the ball and pancaking them and they called us for holding probably ten times. Throw in the phantom ''muff'' on the punt and another fumble deep in our own territory where Aston's knee was down and the refs were just a flat out disgrace to competition. Look at the penalty disparity and box score. Our kicker made his fg and theirs didn't, seemed like karma all worked out in the end. We'll blow the doors of KP in Cougar Stadium this year. 2. Kingwood Park was the youngest team in the district last year. I talked to a BH fan with in depth knowledge and they said this was the weakest group of seniors in the Gage era and they're still not sure if Denny is going to play. I saw a picture of O'neal with his shirt off during summer workouts while they were initiating the freshmen and he looked every bit of 250 but I hear he's playing both ways this year. Crosby has a kid named Shane Hudson that scored 20 something receiving tds last year as a freshman and has been looking like he'll be the third option. We should average around 450 ypg and have the most explosive offense in the district but as usual it's going to be all on the D. I think SC is going to score a bunch but they'll have a hard time stopping people just like we will. Saying that I have it like this . . . 1. Crosby/SC 2. SC/Crosby 3. Dayton 4. KP 5. BH 6. Humble 7. King 8. Porter 9. New Caney
 3. Is the server just not able to handle the amount of traffic or are y'all doing renovations in preparation for the upcoming season? We're losing good threads more often than seldom. Are the ones we're losing being saved?
 4.

All they're showing is SC vs Dayton highlights
hmm wonder why that is? Gotta make SC look good I guess. Being Dayton is the only proven winning team in the district. :P
. . . . Or maybe it's because they beat y'all worse than any of the other playoff teams in the district? You're right though, there would be no use showing Porter highlights.
 5. It was mentioned by Matt Malatesta so I went to go do a little reading and found a little background info. North Shore's district title hopes could have just gotten better. They're saying La Porte's linebacker might sit out next year to focus more on his after high school career. They also put Raelon Singleton #2 in the watch list for wide receivers in the GHA. Going to be a hard go for Crosby come playoff time, the show mentioned our defense being much better but Texas City is one of the most talented 4A teams in the state and FB Marshall's only loss the whole season was to a state semi-finalist. Marshall only brings back 9 total starters though, they're darn good ones though. Marshall only has 1300 and something kids so if the beat TC again in the playoffs they might be the D2 regional favorites with Elgin. There was high praise for Sharp too. The kid interviews well and looks like he going to be a good leader. Almond was also excited for his standards when talking about what he had on defense and the offensive duo of Tristan Houston/Kevion Deleon. He said Houston was one of the more special backs he's had come through the program and was a beast this Spring.
 6. It's the Vype tv show. It's their high school football preview by Matt Malatesta. They said SC's o-line was their issue last year along with their defense. According to them they're going to have their best line in school history and they have a pair of defensive tackles that are pretty good to go with Dakota. Looks like they're handing SC the region in 4A D1.
 7. If y'all have Comcast Sports they're about to run a feature on SC.

Hmmmm... man when Dayton was stacked  like that they went all the way to state. With their Star QB Cody Green... ever heard of him dingledawgs? See if yall's  star QB can make it. I'm sure SC will see a 5A numbers team to take y'all out early like last season.
Yeah, I've heard of him.................lost his job in Nebraska and now playing for the golden hurricans............hope ya'll make the playoffs this year! Good luck with that!! ;D
He didn't lose it.. He chose to leave.. And he is doing a fantastic job where he is now.... Rumor has it, he has peeked some interest from the NFL. But that's just a rumor like I said.
He actually has peeked some NFL interest April. He needs to become a more consistent passer but he has one of the strongest arms in college right now. He's also 6-4 and a shade under 250 with good wheels which helps out with teams that are looking for depth behind a read-option qb. He did lose his job though Feb, better yet he never really won it due to Taylor Martinez blowing up when he got to Lincoln. He's ballin' at Tulsa right now so it's a moot point anyway. I hope he has a good season so he can get a shot to play on Sundays.
 9.
WOW seems like you want to put Crosby over somebody heck anybody you can.
Please man, me and My Two been throwing jabs. No sucker punches or haymakers, just jabs. Their one football playoff win is worth a lot more than all of our baseball wins. You seem like you're the one who has an issue with it and you're not even a real fan. You're the one trying to put somebody over SC when they're better than everybody in your district, they just let you know it so you have a problem with accepting it.

Just because they talk a lot doesn't mean they don't respect the other schools. They stomped Dayton and the Dayton fans have to hear it just like the games between Crosby,BH, and Dayton. Everybody knows Dayton's tradition over here, if you read the Vype articles you'll see Brian Ford even referenced it. We just don't revere them they way y'all do a Ned or PNG. Dayton only has one less district loss than Crosby and BH do over the last couple years and has a new coach so we'll see what happens from here on out. I accepted them as a measuring stick a while ago Jack, maybe you're the one that should do more reading or research.
Your showing your bias again there cougar. Do some research before talking about other sports and embarrassing yourself again.      ::)
You're right, y'all are dead last on the hardwood. I guess all that heart doesn't count there. Maybe you're talking about baseball which y'all also aren't very good at most years as you can tell by all the losses to Crosby? I guess you were talking about soccer?

 12.
One of the biggest things I have learned from demmydog is he has a huge lack of knowledge of football history for this area. Respect will be earned for Summer river 20 or 30 years from now when we see whether they have then earned it.
I thought you were a Vidor fan? SC has been around 5 years and in the last 40 years Vidor only has one more playoff win than they do. They beat us a couple years ago for one of those two wins so I respect them but by your standards they don't deserve any. SC is going 5A/6A next realignment and I think they'll be middle of the pack but I'd be willing to bet they get more than one playoff win the next 35 years. SC can already beat the 5a schools in their district and if they get their enrollment to at least 2500 they should be able to compete for a playoff spot in whatever district they get put in.
 13. Phunter, I don't know how I would take something like that. My oldest son and I spend about 25-30 hours a week on football related work. Devastating isn't even the word to begin to describe what I would feel like if he told me something like that after he earned a scholarship 6 years from now. I have 3 sons and probably feel you more than anybody on this board. I'm not going to offer anything that can make you feel better about that issue because there wouldn't be crap you could tell me. What I will tell you though is that my dad got a scholarship to play running back in college out of Crosby just like I did and didn't do the right things just like I didn't and got removed from the team. He has 5 brothers, all of which served in the Navy at some point so he wasn't allowed to go. He came home and ended up getting a job at a refinery which he at for 36 years. I went to college and received a degree in economics and also work at the same refinery as my Dad, different job but yet and still the same old refinery. My Grandpa also worked at the same refinery. My Grandpa retired well off after a few decades of service and my Dad retired on March 31st at 55 years old(only working the one required day after his 55the birthday) with well over 7 figures in thrift and pension, he's also one of the largest property owners in Crosby/Barrett Station. There's not many places where you can double what your engineers make and a refinery is one of them. I'm all in on the refineries and if that's what Brock wants to do then more power to him. There's not many jobs where you have a locker room atmosphere and you also get to call it like you see it if you know what I mean. The refineries are one, I just hopen one of my sons lets me get out of here before my 31 years are up.
 14. Crosby: Channelview GCM Just the two closest schools and both old district rivals.
 15.
I got Vidor at 2-1 in predistrict and 4-3 in district. Once again demdog your lack of local football knowledge shines through. Vidor is not known for being a passing team. They beat you by pounding your head in the dirt like your team experienced last year with a narrow escape.
I actually agree with DD. He wasn't saying Vidor is a passing team, he was saying if they could throw a forward pass they could have made some big plays since SC didn't expect/respect anything but the run. I was at the game and there was one play Vidor went play-action and the receiver was 15 yards behind the SC db but the ball missed him by 15 extra yards for what would have been a certain td. I don't think it was that narrow either, SC won by 24 but they could have kept throwing and scored even more. I was sitting on SC's side though so I could be mistaken.

 18. It's going to be Aston Walter for the third straight year at Crosby. Backup will be soph. Tristan Cotton. We might even get to see the big freshman at some point this year.
 19.
I work hand and hand with these websites you visit cougar14. They don't call the coaches and ask who all they offered on MOST occasions,  95% of the time they either speak to the kid, the recruits parent or his HS coach. Its comical you came on here to trying to act like your and expert and then call other people dummys and such.  If a kid doesn't tweet about and offer, text or call a website reporter about and offer then the offer won't be listed,  my brother signed FBS last year he had 18 scholarship offers from D-1 schools (not including the Lamars and mcneese of the world) and I think maybe 10-12 were listed on websites because after he commited he didn't care anymore about keeping up with all of them. Please in the future speak FACTS!!! Here's some FACTS for you. Ed Paris is a consensus top 3 safety in the state on all three major recruiting websites Brandon Simmions is a consensus top 5 safety in the state on all three major websites (no offers from UT, A&M and Alabama) Deionte Thompson is THE consensus #1 safety in the state for his class on all three major websites And Johnny Shaw is a consensus top 4 safety for the class of 2015 by all three major sites. So if that's what your going off of then YES I was right DT and Johnny are the top tandem inthe state as far as rankings go. But Deiontes father was right in the original post I meant they were the top safety tandem in the state for the 2015 class, but after further research I think we can conclude that they are the #1 safety tandem in the state of Texas according towebsites. Keep your opinions out this thread come back with facts that can be researched!!!!
No doubt Thompson is the best safety in Texas in his class right now but you know just like I do that the '14 and '15 class of safeties in Texas aren't comparable. True Shaw is 4 but Simmons is 30 spots higher overall, 6 at his position and 16 in the state for his class. Simmons would be the second best safety in that class but this class is loaded. I guess we can agree to disagree because I still think the boys at Timberview are the best tandem right now. Research completed coach.
That's actually just the opposite when you commit to a school like that so early. It takes all the guess work out for other recruiters because they know if you can play there you can play at their school. Alabma has had several of their recruits decommit over the last 3 or 4 years to go to Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Ole Miss and that's just the ones i can remember off the top of my head. Craig Loston was the best high school safety i've seen in the state the last 5 years and he decommitted from Alabama for LSU. Thompson will probably get a dozen more offers but he has to be one of the top two or three safeties in the country to be on Paris' level. Simmons is no lower than the 3rd ranked safety in the state and Shaw is probably only going to be a 3 star. I think the top 2 safeties in the state or 2 of the top three depending on which service you use is the best combo in the state. The recruiters could be wrong though, MQ was great and didn't get a look just like i said he wouldn't when y'all called me a hater.
I think jk meant the best safety tandem in the class of 2015. But to your point, I agree with the fact that Paris has a lot more offers than Thompson at this point. Do you really know how many offers Thompson has at this point? Let me answer that for you. No you don't. You only know of the 6 you see listed. Let me educate you with facts. Thompson has 8 more offers that are not listed because he was told by his dad not to broadcast because he is already committed. When you commit early other schools do shy away because they have other recruits that are not committed that they want to convince to come to their school. And my comment has nothing to do with me being from the "Triangle". I'm telling you the facts.
The kids don't broadcast anything. Recruiting websites list whats on offer sheets dummy. You think they call kids and ask them what offers they have? Heck no, they ask the recruiting coordinators at the offering schools who they have one the sheet. Kids and parents lie about offers all the time so they talk to coaches unless a kid tweets or post offers which they promptly check before they post them on their website. Singleton and Feuerbacher both have gotten offers after they commit. I can tell you have no idea how this thing works. You think Deshawn Washington's phone has stopped ringing? Raelon is committed to Utah and still went to the UT camp. I don't know where you get you facts but you need to kappa shake that bs back to where you got it from. My cousin committed to Kansas and Michigan called til the day he signed. Same for my cousin that went to UT and Miami calling. Teams don't shy away, the come hard after the kids they want until they sign, why do think coaches sit there hovering over the fax machine until the LOIs come in.  You sound like those Vidor fans last year. I appreciate that too Bronco. You can come check out one of Crosby's next big receivers if you have time next year. We'll get to see who can do what.
Ouch! Dummy? Wow....let me school you sir, because you obviously don't know jack. Thompson happens to be my SON. NOT my cousin, nephew, but SON. So when I speak about him, you can take that to the bank. No one would have known about the Oklahoma offer had he not tweeted it (research it). Recruiting websites don't call kids asking what offers they have? WRONG! I just got a call today. With all due respect, you MIGHT know a little bit. However, the more you talk on this thread exposes you for how much you DON'T know.
Yeah dummy, that's exactly what I said. The OU offer was on the sheet already which is why I said 5 offers. I know the Lamar, SFA, etc. offers don't show up yet but he's not going to a school like that anyway. You can pm the other 8 you speak of and THEY WILL BE ON THOSE SCHOOL'S 2015 OFFER SHEETS. Yeah they talk to parents, they don't take your word for gospel until they confirm it with the school though. So your boy has 14 D1 offers huh, two of my best friends are college coaches so like I said pm me and prove me wrong. I won't post the schools, I'll just say you're right. Parents have pm'd me before regarding their child and I've never said anything so let me check those 8 secret offers if you don't mind.
Pm you? After you've called me a dummy? Why would I want to do that? By the way, did you count the Utah offer that wasn't listed? That would be 6. Like I said, you know very little about Thompson and I want to keep it that way. You're just one of those guys who loves to talk about how much he thinks he knows.
I don't know much at all sir, my wife lets know that all the time. What I do know is that I've eaten, slept and breathed high school football recruiting since the time the Internet became efficient. I've only ever partially missed twice and that was on Jakobi Jones and Aaron Sharp. I came on this site after we lost to Vidor in 2011. I said Jakobi Jones would go D1 50/50 missed for reasons that are irrelevant now but he is playing college ball next year. Before y'all knew where Summer Creek was or who Aaron Sharp is I said he would might make the ESPNU 150. I give myself a miss because he's not close but a K-St commitment to go with a dozen offer isn't bad, and that's before he threw a pass in this district. I said before the year even started Tony Brown was one of the top 5 corners in the country and might be the first ESPN 5 star from the SETX region, he's not an ESPN 5 star but he is in the composite which is just as good. I'm sure these threads can be found somewhere. Your boy is going to have way more than 14 offers, he looks like a faster Cam Chancellor which equates to NFL draft picks. I'm just saying he doesn't have 14 D1 offers now. I have a son starting his first year of school football this year and your boy is one of the kids that are only 3 years older than him that i use as an example of where he could be in a few short years if he works hard. I could only hope he's good enough to get an Alabama offer Mr.Thompson, he wants to go to UT of course but I could only hope.

I saw the kid today and he said he's going to be a mustangs. Him and 2015 Alabama commit Deionte will be the best safety tandem in the state
Still won't be the best safety tandem in the state, those boys from Timberview are far and away the best tandem and have 30-40 offers between them. Bonney and the other guy he plays with at Lamar are better also. There's more tandems that will be better also due to Texas being loaded down with running backs and safetys over the next couple of years. WOS might be the best 3a group though.
HAHA Cougar just because these young men aren't from a Houston area team no need to dismiss their abilities...
I don't overstate anything when it comes to recruiting. They may be the best in 3a but they're nowhere near the best tandem in the state. Forget the state, these kids could be the best tandem in the country. Ed Paris, #2 safety in the country. 26 offers by himself - [Hidden Content] Brandon Simmons, #13 safety in the country in the composite. 28 more offers by himself - [Hidden Content] 54 offers between them before they even take the field their senior year's. 2 of the top 13 safeties in the United States. I know y'all are Triangle homers but I don't think y'all have an argument. Thompson will be ranked high once the officials come out but he only has like 5 offers, Paris had about 15 offers after his sophomore year so no Thompson wasn't more highly recruited or rated at the same points in their careers. Like I said though, they will probably be the best tandem in 3a.
