2.
Yall beat an obviously bad Central team last year by 1 score.  And that was by a FG.  What does that say about Weak Brook Bo-bo's?
How does Central come so close to beating a 5A playoff team, who barely lost their first round game, but then turn around and not make the playoffs in their district??
Congrats coach Flanigan.  Hope its not to early to pressure you.  But that Beaumont Bowl trophy is Da Brooks and needs to be guarded.  Their are two kitty  cat species trying to nab it and one would fight you for it. ;D ;D
hahahahahahahahhahahahhahaahhahahahaha
Deel was approved 7-0 by the board and will continue to be the HC in Liberty.  Whether that is good or bad, time will tell.
The 'Board' has nothing to do with and does not vote on whether or not the AD/HC stays or goes. This decision sits entirely in the Superintendants hands until his contract is up and I believe he still has another year in his contract. When his contract is up, then the board  will 'vote'.   If Slack has been seen around campus it may be because his wife is the head volleyball/softball coach there.
Personally I think we should fire Deel and hire Texasminuteman as our new head coach maybe then we will be able to come within 100 points of the all mighty Huffman Falcons.
Doubt it. Yall need more than a new coach ;)
Yeah, maybe fire Orr and hire ex-panther as our new OC, that might be the icing on the cake to put us in the same ball park as the Falcons.
you never know what the future may bring to good old Liberty,TX
I see a bright future. Liberty getting back on track sending Huffman back to 4A with a big red L, as they rack up 2 wins and 8 losses in a 4A district for the next few season while Liberty continues to get better, eventually dayton slows down and our athletes come back, then who knows...

Ya think? As soon as I graduate I just might take you up on that offer,I dont know if I can get a good Health degree with just an art scholarship though!!!
Hmm so still in college? I mean it makes since I figured the way you praise Stewart you had to have played for him.
 6.
Its good that they are playing Houston Jones and not Lamarque.
lol, they had Lamarque in that game! After they beat Brenham I thought Manvel or Aledo would be the only two to get them, but the rain and wind served Ozen, a pass first team badly while Lamarque liked to put the ball on the ground and so they were able to control the game and get the win. Either way congrats to Ozen for making this far in both sports.
 7.
It worked in Aransas Pass!!! 6 three's in the first quarter of one of the games!!!  ;D ;D ;D
A guy from Splendora hit 5 3's in the first 3 minutes against Liberty, had them playing from behind the whole game which really made a difference in the 9 point loss.

But we'll never know the answer, will we?
Nope!!!!!
I saw the Sealy game, and I see Cleveland play twice every year, most of the time 3 times when they can make it to the round they usually play HJ, and IMO Seals-Jones is better than the guy from Cleveland.
 9.
Regional and State.... What sets them apart from other teams? Some teams never get that far while with others it seems to be the norm. There are some obvious reasons, talent, etc....whats involved that doesn't meet the eye?
PROGRAM, nearly every school has athletes, well not every school but a lot of teams who aren't very good have talent, but it's the coach, program, tradition and all of that, that factors in to making it to state, the year Liberty played HJ in the playoffs Liberty was up at the half but HJ found a way to get it done, and I believe HJ was better the team also, but it was the heart and determination of those players that let them pull away, they just don't see themselves losing in the first round, while Liberty was just happy to be there, traditon has a lot to do with it, I think that's why we see a lot of the same teams every year in the playoffs, Navasota, Colspring, Silsbee, HJ,Cleveland, Athens, Fairfield, Lufkin Hudson, Sealy...all these teams seem to make it to the area and regional rounds every year.
 10. Last year they were just a very athletic team, not much height it seems like they are about like that this year, great defense, decent shooter, I think Silsbee has the advantage with their speed, shooting ability, along with the scoring ability of #11, and there were two other pretty good scorers I think #3 was one and maybe #5 I dont remember, but either way Silsbee's got this one!
 11. Hopefully this will be the year they get that done.

 13.
LaVega is just another team.  We can beat them.  They can beat us. But you know what they are saying?  Hardin Jefferson has been in Regionals 6 years running!  Twice in that run they went on to state, and once they won it.  These guys are good!!!!  The only team that has beat them this year (on a lucky shot at that!!!! Just kidding Silsbee fans) is also in Huntsville, so these guys are the real deal. So don't let any of their number 1 mystique get to you.  HJ will come to play on Friday!
Good post, I agree. Two great teams, La Vega shouldn't be underestimated but neither should HJ
Without a doubt this is the best team HJ has played in the post season in 4 years, maybe even further back than that.
Doubt it
Who's better then?

 18. I went to the UIL website and could only find the 2012 playoff bracket, I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the 3A Playoff brackets for 2011, 2010, 2009.
That would be my guess. Saw Athens play about a week ago. They have speed and like to push the ball. Decent shooters........Should be two great ball games Friday. Looking forward to watching both games.......
You just described Silsbee lol, SPEED, change decent shooters to good shooters, and add in those scorers they have.
