It's funny to me and pretty much EVERYONE in the football world that the loss and 1 player and replacing him with this phenom of an athlete would cause y'all to lose the game to Cleveland much less blow a 20 point lead. If our stregnth was the inside run and he was an inside LBer, isn't his assignment pretty easy? Tackle Franks, done!! I am pretty sure that no schools in 22-3A have a 4A enrollment... If they did, they probably wouldn't be 3A, right? That LP6, what a funny guy!!
LOL could I get ANYONE on this board, someone who knows the game to read this statement, you my friend do not know the game. You sound like a pee-wee coach complaining in the stands, I also said that our offense did struggle at the wrong time, so no it wasn't because Antoine didn't know what he was doing it was a combination of things that started because two players were injuered at the same spot and he was chosen to fill the void, not his fault, maybe a coaching problem but not his fault. I didn't say we had a bright future because two sophomores scored did I? No, I was simply stating that the player you guys are giving no credit to is 6ft tall 200 pounds rushed for 1000 yards, and helped us get some offense against Coldspring, in my opinion those are some pretty promising statistics.
 2.

Hey I got a good one, instead of the huffman falcons, lets start saying the huffman move-ins!! 8)
If one of the other schools in question could get their academic problems sorted out then someone might move there. Liberty and Cleveland are known more for poor academic scores and criminal behavior than they are for anything else. If Liberty could retain their population they would still be one of the largest school in the district like they were a few years back when they won.
I won't disagree with all of that about Cleveland and the last part about Liberty, but we aren't known for our criminal behavior, neither is Cleveland but defintely not us. Cleveland is probably more known to past Huffman players for the numerous beatings they gave them, rather than their criminal behavior. And back to the point of, you guys saying Liberty is further away from Huffman in skill than Splendor, Tarkington and Shepherd are from Liberty? Liberty has posted 2 blowouts against Splendora in the past two seasons, 4 blowouts on Tarkington in the last 4 years, 2011 season was a blowout against Shepherd 2010 Liberty won, but it was it OT that should have never been forced upon us if we played our game from the beginning, Huffman however has blown Liberty out once in 3 years, they lost to Liberty in one of those 3 years then won a game 40-20, now you tell me how that is more of a gap that the 40+ to what was it 14 against Splendora 2 seasons ago, the win this year, the 63-8 blowout of tarkington and the 2 wins on shepherd, IMO it is very clear that there sits 3 teams on the bottom of 22-3A, then there is a huge gap between them and Liberty and if Liberty would've handled business this past season I would include Cleveland in those bottom teams, but I know now at least untill next season I will put Cleveland on the same level with Liberty, then there is a small gap between Liberty and Huffman, then a gap about as big as the gap between the bottom 3 from Huffman up to Coldsprings. Meaning the bottom 3 will not beat Huffman, Coldsprings or Liberty, then with the sloppy 2010 season who knows about Cleveland, but with the way the Huffman fans are talking about Coldsprings graduating players and other things, I'd say all 4 of those teams are in competition for playoffs, and the fact that Splendora put up a game against Cleveland and Cleveland upset Liberty then maybe they are too, my point? Huffman is on no level of their own, and the Cleveland fans are crazy to think they only have to worry about Huffman and Coldsprings, now my predictions? Liberty dominates Cleveland, Splendora, Tarkington and Shepherd next season, I'll make a prediction on Huffman and Coldspring after non-district.
 3.
This is awesome!! When does football start?!?! I don't think Liberty matches up with Huffman offensively... They had 4 'vetran' o-linemen and gave up like 7 sacks against Huffman last year? Cleveland will do more of the same this year to Liberty!! Liberty does have a RB that average 15 yards a carry, IN NON-DISTRICT, and like 3 in district... Cleveland is very ATHELTIC, Coldspring is athletic and well coached... They will be tough to beat!!
LOVE that statement, he's young and very talented and apparently extremely underrated, I hope he has a great offseason and summer to add to his 6 foot 200 pound frame, then wherever your from in the district, Cleveland Shepherd or wherever, you can sit in the stands and watch him rack up yards against your defense, unless your from Coldspring then you will probably not be watching him run down your throat but hopefully at least repeating his game from last year in witch he had a touchdown reception scoring one of the only two touchdowns by catching the ball and making defenders miss, the other score on Coldspring was another TD catch by another sophomore.
 4.

I am not saying we should have won, I said we could have, Liberty dropped some key passes, and turnovers killed them, but like you said, it is part of the game. What I was saying is that on another day Who knows maybe the two td passes would have been caught, and special teams would have held on to the ball maybe not idk. either way Liberty could have hung with Huffman player for player Liberty and Huffman are actually very close. This next year who knows, Liberty lost 4 veteran O-lineman so if they get that sorted out, then maybe next year is the year when Liberty takes out its revenge on Huffman i am not saying it will happen, however i will not be surprised if it does.
If Huffman Liberty are so close why did yall lose to Cleveland and we beat them by 40? why did you lost to CS by 50 and we lost by 17? The Huffman Liberty score will be similar to 2010. If Liberty comes within 21 that is a victory.
Because once again you are relying on scores to make your statements. Cleveland was down 20-0 to Liberty to start the 3rd, at that point Liberty lost their second inside sam line backer, we dont have 4A enrollment, when you lose TWO guys at the SAME position, and just stick a guy out there who's a heck of an athlete, but for one he was only a sophomore and two even if he was a senior it's hard to learn how to play sam linebacker in 24 minutes, especially when Cleveland's strength was their inside run game of Franks. As the D fell apart miserably the right things happened for Cleveland at the right time, they got their only stop the whole game, and with Liberty's luck that came at the same time they lost their defensive momentum, so with no momentum on either side of the ball, and an injury filled defense Cleveland had every shot in the world to win the game and they still only won by 5, you don't know how happy it makes us Panther fans to see that Cleveland post about "yall" are only worried about CS and Huffman, that's great because although we are mainly focused on them 2, I'm sure Coach Deel won't let our team forget the embarassing loss to a team we were TWICE as good as, and I'm sure he won't let those players forget the torn faces of the seniors after the game, and I'm sure he will let them know that they do not want to be in that same position as they were last year, sitting at home while a team not as talented as you gets a playoff shot. We won't be over looking Shepherd, Splendora, or Tarkington either, because they now know that anything is possible, and I've watched the class of 2013 since 7th grade, they never had a problem with Huffman's 2013 on the football field, thats minus your move ins in Austin Williams and Townley, but either way the Panthers will be ready next year.
 5.
I get a lot of humor reading the Huffman posts, Huffman has a good program but you are not even in the same league with Coldspring. You can get on hear and rag the other schools in the district all you want but everyone reading the posts knows the truth so just accept it and move on. What Huffman thinks they can to against Coldspring is the same thing that Liberty, Tarkington, Shepherd and Cleveland think they can do against Huffman. The funny part is the other schools in the district are closer to Huffman than Huffman is to Coldspring. For now and the near future you are only second best.
Agreed, after many arguements most of the Huffman posters will admit that they aren't on Coldspring's level, but after this season they seem to have went back to the idea that they are on Coldspring's level and every other school isn't. In my opinion, I still hold firm the belief that Liberty and Cleveland are in the same category with Huffman, while Coldspring is above that, and Splendora, Shepherd, and Tarkington are below that, with the exception of maybe Splendora if they could get some skill kids they have a descent amount of players around that but as of now they can't compete. Most Huffman posters will tell you that Huffman is better than everyone in the district and no one can compete with them other than Coldsprings, but we will see next season how easily they roll through district, IMO 40-20 over Liberty without Liberty's starting free safety who had to be replaced by a freshmen against a passing offense, isn't near the 63-18 win Coldspring produced over Liberty, you aren't on their level, you are beatable and I hope the Panthers can gain some stability and continue the good things Coach Deel has started.

 7.
both on the road which should make both even tougher
Goodluck to the Trojans in non-district, every year we want to point out reason why we don't think Coldspring will be as good the next season, and at the end of every year I found myself watching them deep in the playoffs, so I've decided to quit doubting them and just assume they will be the team to beat, so good luck to Coldspring and good luck to the Liberty Panthers as they prepare for them.

 9.
Coldspring's predistrict schedule is a beast this year.  If they happen to make it out of preseason with an undefeated schedule and no injuries this year, the playoffs may look easy. FYI - the coldspring kid with the broken neck is doing very well.  He is out of the halo, just a neck brace that he straps on with velcro right now, and maybe getting completely released this week to remove that.  He will be graduating at the top of his class next week, and is doing well.  Thanks to all for the good thoughts and prayers for this young man.
Glad to hear he's doing well.
 10.
I am very aware of his little brother being in Dayton. I was just stating that I've been told both of them will be here. But, who knows?
True, and as of right now Tuesday May 15, Traevyon Antoine and Dennis Antoine are both enrolled at Liberty high school, younger Antoine participated in junior varsity 7 on 7 last week in Anahuac, older Antoine participated as well with the varsity.
 11.
Heard from a valuable source Antoine was making a move to Dayton..
Oh and another point to be made out of that statement, Antoine was on the Panther relay teams who advanced to regionals this year, and came very close to advancing to state, Dayton didn't have that same success in track, so the fact that his brother runs track their probably means nothing, but of course football or other reasons could play a factor in a decision that big, but Dennis although he is from Cleveland he was in Liberty in middle and now highschool, people on this site kind of portray him as a guy who just "moved in " and took over, and didn't have anything to do with Liberty, and now saying he is moving on to Dayton, but he has spent a significant amount of time as an older student here in Liberty.

And yes Liberty for years has lived in the shadow of all the football championships HD has won.(Including the only State Championship in Liberty County) And for you to call those top players out at H-D and say they won't play college ball is wrong. You are correct. this is the best..........or worst..........or longest.
I wasn't aware that you had to use perfect grammar on this website. 16.
It's funny how good you think Liberty is and they never do anything. Finishing 3rd is a successful year. If the players are as good as you say, Liberty should be going deep every year in the playoffs. Heck, they aren't even the best in the District. Huffman will destroy Liberty this coming season. Huffman does have two former H-D Bobcats in Cole and Chase Harrell.
Don't even get me started on making players out to be better than they are, ME myself Lp6, have personally watched the HD Bobcats play last season with my own eyes, I personally saw the Liberty Panthers play all 10 of their games, and I can say, unlike you, that from seeing both teams, knowing players personally from both teams, that Hickman, Edmonson and Drake are not even in the same category as Fitzwater, Jones, and Vaught, and that's not based off of me thinking I know something because 20 years ago HD's backfield was stronger than Liberty's so it must be now, that's me telling you that Fitzwater is being recruited at a D1 level, Vaught will play college ball next year at a strong division 3 program, Edmonson, Drake and Hickman none of those guys will play college ball, Chisholm is the best player at Hd (who is graduating) and is only playing D3, heck Hickman, Drake and Edmonson are even in Chisholm's category, what does that tell you? HD can be a "football town" have "football tradition" but when it comes down to the game of football you didn't even make the playoffs last season in a 5 team 1A district, Liberty would flat out embarass you on your home field with according to you "the entire town" in attendance, in front of everyone, then after our season whether or not we got 1-9 2-8 or 10-0 Fitzwater is still being recruited at a D1 level, Vaught is still playing college ball, Melton is playing D1 at Texas State, Tebo will be playing somewhere, Lacefield is playing D3, blah blah blah all the stats, players, coaches, tradition all of that aside, Liberty would smash HD in a head to head match up in football, basketball, track, girls volleyball, girls track, softball, baseball, golf, so quit saying we "live in your shadow" we don't, no one in this town or program envys HD, at all what so ever, last two years 5-6 with a playoff appearance, 7-3 no playoffs but major improvement as far as the team itself, compared to you guys missing out on the playoffs in a 5 team 1A district? I'm done comparing this to that, and what he said to what she said and all that, im telling you that Liberty is better than HD at everything at this point in time, and even compared to other 3A schools we are further along in competition with them then HD is with the other 4 teams in their little district that they never make it out of the first round in.

And how does a player that was hurt all last year make the Liberty program strong? As to Andrew the kid is a great athlete and i expect to see alot from him in the future. They are both good players. But back to the STUDS of the team the people who make this program run are Daniel Fitzwater, family is from amarillo, Jordan Jones, Liberty, Jake Vaught. Liberty, Aaron Mosley, Liberty, and Dennis Antoine cleveland, so please explain to me how Libertys program is ran by former bobcats. And what is the win percentage of the last 5 years? It isnt the 70's anymore unplug the lava lamp and look outside.
I never said they played high school ball at H-D. I bet our last 5 years is not very good, but neither is yalls. Try comparing yourself to a 3A school, not a 1A. Liberty has 400 more kids and should be able to smoke us in everything.
Should be able to? We can, and have. Basketball by 30+, football would be even worse, any girls sports, look we aren't the ones who came on here boasting that we could beat HD in everything, it was the HD posters who claimed they could compete with Liberty, or whatever the case was, it was the HD posters that started it, the topic of this thread is future of liberty county and all were saying that overall from girls volleyball to boys varsity track, a combination of the three schools would only hurt liberty making us 4A with not very many players from HD, and Hardin that would be able to impact us even a little bit, but for sure wouldn't make us a successful 4A we'd be terrible.
"Used to" is the key word, that's not the same HD and this isn't the same Liberty, Liberty would beat Anahuac last year and next year as well as HD so idk why you even put them in the conversation, Austin Edmonson would not start anywhere on the Panther offense neither would any of the others you mentioned, your crazy if you think either one of them could replace 6ft 200 pound 1000 yard rusher in 2011 in Dennis Antoine and anyone on this board will tell you that, and there is not a single chance that anyone could play quarterback thats for sure, and i Doubt any of them are replacing former setx sophomore of the year 1000+ all purpose yards two seasons in a row in Jordan Jones at WR and neither of them would replace Aaron Mosley at the other WR spot being top in the district in Td's and yds as a sophomore and 4 Tds in 4 games as a freshmen, so no they would not start both ways.

I will say that Shepherd has it's problems just like all of the other small towns (and if you don't think your town has any problems then you are just fooling yourself). There is a lot of politics in this town and parents don't seem to get that little johnny needs to work hard and earn what he gets instead of the parents playing politics and getting little johnny his spot. Most of the better kids don't even play sports due to this fact. Can Shepherd compete with Coldspring (no) but they could play with the other teams in district if they could get parents to buy into the system and kids to play.
This is the case in many small towns, unfortunately it is also a problem in Liberty, parents won't buy into the program, the kids are taught from early on that the failure is due to "bad coaching" the parents refuse to buy into the program and insist their input is more important than the positional coaches, if you have an athletic director that will choose a player based of his performance, and the input of his position coach over the influence of the child's parent, then you will be fine, Coldspring is a small town, but they've bought into the program and the best player will start at any given position, however in Liberty and from what you guys are saying, Shepherd as well has the problem of parents having to much influence in the program.
 22. And as far as Cleveland vs Liberty for the 3rd spot goes I'll say this...Liberty has the obvious advantage, however IMO they had an obvious advantage in the 2011 game that Cleveland ended up winning. Liberty has the better offense, but Cleveland has the better defense, Liberty has the better overall speed but Cleveland has more overall size, IMO Liberty has more talent, but Cleveland has more guys on the bench that can replace people due to injury and Liberty doens't have that, I think if the Panther offense is clicking the outcome will shock most people, if you recall in 2011 Liberty was 1 drive away from turning that game into a blowout, they failed to do so allowing Cleveland to climb back into the game, so as for next year I think the Panthers have to come out strong, because if you let Cleveland hang around they will make you pay, but IMO if the Panthers get up fast, which they're capable of offensively, I think they can win the game, because while Cleveland's D is their strength, Liberty put up around 40 last year, but wasn't able to perform in the clutch, coaches and players alike.
I personally think they are too far apart even though the schools may not be far the people who go to Hardin and daisetta don't exactly live in the city. So this would make it very hard to combine and even if the distance wasn't a problem they never would combine
Hardin's school district runs over 20 miles north of the school...Liberty's runs west to the trinity river and south to the county line...Daisetta runs east to pretty much the Hardin county line... Combining these schools would mean that there would pretty much be 1 school taking up almost the whole county.  I doubt that will happen....but I have been wrong before
A combination of Liberty, Hardin, and Daisetta would be a terrible idea when considering football, you'd have the same 22 starters from Liberty but your bench would grow and we would move up to 4A with this same team that finished 7-3 and didn't make the playoffs in 22-3A...Terrible idea
I doubt it. Huffman should be better than they were last year especially on offense, but we will see. I know Cleveland had a lot of young talented sophomores playing on varsity last year so they are probably going to be pretty good. I think Liberty will finish 4th again they have some goid skill players on O, but they lost alot on the oline and I don't think thier defense will improve from last year, although it can't get much worse.
For once ill agree with Falcon on something, but what I have to disagree with is the defense, the o-line will no doubt be worse, if they put an o-line together however i think they can get a playoff spot, even without the defense improving, but IMO the Panther defense will be about the same as last year meaning Liberty would finish 4th once again, unless those skill players you'r reffering to on offense can be a big enough force to win the shootouts against Huffman and Cleveland, because unless CS just gets drastically worse then Liberty shouldn't be able to beat them.
Liberty lost 4 O-lineman, 2 D-line, 2 defensive backs, 1 linebacker, a reciever, and a fullback/tightend.
It will be interesting to see if Huffman beats CS this year. The rest of the scraps can battle it out for the third spot. This could be the year for Splendora to come back.
I don't see how, they graduate their only offensive player from last season, Macanally carried that team on his back, they have some solid pieces but no one to take the team to the next level.
