You forgot to mention the  -  It Won't Ever Happen Wanna Be Bowl !       Vidor vs Nederland, WOS, PNG, --- well you get the picture

  2.

Is PNG running back hurt? I saw him limping and holding his hamstring on his 35 yard td run at the end of the game last week. Hope all is well there.

PNG offense is very balanced with him in plus the pass game. Gonna be hard for anyone to stop. I would love to be able to watch this one!!

It was Cropper and I saw that as well. Slowed way down on that run and then grabbed the back of his right leg. Hope he is ok and healthy.  Plus wouldn't want that as an excuse when they lose !

  3. Ok,  I've read enough about powder , turf, moving it to Lamar....blah, blah, blah.   Back on track now.  I watched some video of the PNG vs Lumberton game. After seeing the PNG defense, I don't think they penetrate into the back field at all Friday night and I don't see our O-line having any trouble making some good sized holes for Krautz ( Crout )  to run through or protecting  LeBaron ( Lebron ) giving him plenty of time to pick and choose while waiting for the play to develop.  Our defense I feel found their groove and are clicking. As always this will be a good game but the Bulldogs pull this one out in the end.

    Nederland   37

    Port Neches  24

  4. Showed some footage of past games. One in particular was of Nederland breaking their 20 year drought and comments on what it was like to be in that stadium when it happen. I know if we end our drought, stadium is going to be chaos.,,lol

I was there that night, chaos would have been putting it mildly. There used to be a fence around the field between the field and the track.  I was surprised it was still standing after everyone jumped it.

  5. Let's see, graduated in '85,

My last year in high school that we played PNG was '84.

    '82  - PNG

    '83  -  PNG

    '84  -  The revolution began - Nederland Wins - Finally !

Have to say it was great to be the Sr. class that broke the streak.

My sons 4 years is at 3 wins , I will wait for Fridays win to put him at 4-0  lol .

" The nose of the Bulldog is slanted backwards so he can continue to breathe without letting go. "  - Winston Churchill

  6. Y'all will have a game plan in place.  Your staff has the capability to make on the fly adjustments.  If you do these, you'll win.  Just don't let Krautz get in the open field or he'll outrun your linebackers......

You do realize he ran right through that big hole in your defense before he out ran your linebackers ---- translation, he outran your entire defense !!!

  7. I was going to write a long post but instead I'll just say this,

Soulja, I told you earlier this week that NO defense in this district would dominate this Nederland O line. Now my son did say that Central was the best D they have faced this year in his opinion including Crosby. Props to the Central players. Hard fought game last night. Funny, I didn't see Mediocre any where on the field. I have been seeing an awful lot of it when reading your post though !!!!!!

  8. It's quite simple, Ford.  This would be the game that makes Bulldog nation the most nervous...  We have the athletes to make life a living heck for them and we have the defense that can and will hold their one man wrecking crew in check.

I can assure you this Bulldog O-line  will not be dominated by any defense in this district. If the "one man wrecking crew" wants a hole to run threw he will get it ! Just make sure you focus all your attention on him , that will be just fine!   Let me know how that works out !

  9. Good assessment.. I think Central is top 2 for sure in the district in Defense.. Throw stats out, just from what I have seen.. I do think all these Central fans are going to be surprised once they see Krautz... Centrals QB issues are very legit... Whaley appears to be a good one cut power runner.. Which means assignment football can neutralize that.. Nederland has a QB that can do enough to keep you off balance as well, so they are not IMO a one show pony... Scrappy on defense... But if Central can neutralize Krautz, it will be very interesting, surely the best district test yet.. If Central wants to win, for one they will need A much better game plan than last week.... But if they can dominate the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball, and pound the rock with Whaley, and control the time of possession.. It could be game on... Central struggled with the unbalanced line, but made adjustments.

I don't think Central will dominate the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. This is a big group of boys in Nederland this year with determination, they will open holes for Krautz and protect LeBaron, they have all season and will continue to control the line and I will believe that until someone PROVES otherwise.

  10. Ozen?  They're the same team that got ran off the field by Lumberton...  So to say that Ozen got all those yards, what does that say about y'all?

It says we got the job done and won the game WITHOUT needing all those yards to get it done. More efficient game play! Anymore questions.  Don't misunderstand me, Central is and almost always is a challenge. This will be no cake walk for the Dog or the Jags, but also don't discount the ability of these players ( namely the O line ) to get the job done when needed. I expect a good tight game, and pray that ALL players walk away injury free.
