  1. And that grand slam is solely on Framber ignoring his catcher. And then the catcher, Salazar, paid for it with a ball to the chest when Framber yet again threw a pitch he didn't call. Framber is def not doing himself any favors nearing his free agency by being so emotional and arrogant.
  2. No, they played in the state final in '92.
  3. I think what some are failing to remember is that you're talking about a bunch of kids that are finally experiencing some success. Regardless of whether it's an easy district or actual skill, these are KIDS that are playing their hearts out week after week. You're calling BC "Chitty"...which we all know you're avoiding getting your hand slapped by changing the "Sh" to a "Ch" and we know what you really want to say here. So you're insulting an entire town who is excited about football for the first time in a long time. If BC loses, well they're just a baseball school. If BC wins, well the chose an easy district. Why not just be excited for a group of KIDS and their coaches who have strung together YEARS of losing records and are now experiencing something special? If you think these kids don't read this and see a bunch of grown adults telling them they're "chitty" and discount every single win simply because y'all don't think this district is worthy of even playing, you're sorely mistaken. I have no dog in this fight, no kid that plays...not even a nephew or neighbor...just a fan who thinks it's time to move on from this and hope the team keeps fighting for Ws every Friday night!
  4. Landry knows how to pull kids together and make them want to perform. I don't think BC will ever be a football powerhouse, but Landry is creating a team with some excitement.
  5. That really did make me LOL this morning. And thanks for staying for halftime...those band kids and strutters really do put in some time and work too.
  6. 26 I believe.
  7. Who would have thought this young team would have made it this far?! While I'm sad the 2017 journey ended here and ended like this, I really look forward to the future of this group of young men!
  8. That call that allowed the run to score was crazy! Ump not seeing right tonight.
  9. Yep...someone said no one answered your question. So I took the liberty of answering your question with more questions.
  10. Should a retired couple with grown kids out of school be exempt? What about the couple that chose not to have kids? What about the single person with no kids? Should we exempt them all?
  11. No. How do you manage the whole "no pass/no play"? You have a kid that can't pass in public school...but has unbelievable athletic talent. So mom/dad "homeschools" him/her while still participating in athletics. Do we take parent's word that their kid is passing? And what curriculum are they using? Is it as challenging as the public school? And then do we open it up to all extra curricular activities? Homeschoolers in the marching band, in the choir, one act play? Where do you draw the line?
  12. When my friends are whining about how warm it is at Christmas, I always remind them that our cold weather doesn't hit until baseball season starts. And here we are!
  13. When Neegan whacked the first one, I relaxed. Was sad, but not devastated. Was not prepared at all for the second one. Kinda came out of nowhere. My mistake, lesson learned. Was brutal for sure.
  14. If you want to see a band do it right, go to a Lamar game and sit near the band. They operate like a well oiled machine! They never play while a play is going on...they will cut off a song as soon as the ball is snapped. And because they're right behind the visiting team's bench, the heckling is pretty funny.
