Can't believe I'm the person to say it but get back on topic. 

It’s everything mentioned and more.  Here’s another one.  Kids playing one sport and one sport only year-round.  2 different sports my kid played in youth league, the coaches told me that for him to “move to the next level” he’d have to play/practice/train for that sport year-round.  In both instances I told those coaches we couldn’t do that because my son had football.  Both told me that they wanted him for their “Competitive” leagues but if he wasn’t ready to commit to year-round and give up football then he’d have to stay in Rec league until he aged out.  My son was like 9-10 years old BTW.
There’s kids that get locked into soccer or baseball or whatever at 7/8/9 years old and that’s ALL they play.  Coaches/Parents are convinced that’s the way to go which I totally disagree with but whatever.  There’s a lot of kids that could be great multi-sport athletes with one of those sports being football but can’t because mom/dad/trainer/coach are convinced that Jr’s only chance at a scholly to a D1 school is playing baseball year-round for the next decade.
 

Interviews happening this week is what the board schedule says. 

My sources are saying this was a very political move.
Supt was upset over his son's playing time.
Job has been offered to PN-G's Joseph and Vandegrift HC. Both have turned it down.

Not many 4AD1 districts that are weaker. If they get the right coach they will be more than able to compete.

I mean... it's not like they're gonna be successful regardless.

Experienced enough to know the ropes, young enough to get the kids excited to compete, progressive enough to get the athletes to play and with a willingness to not only "right the ship" but to keep captaining the boat for the foreseeable future.

Yes! Avoid the 2 year cycle, and also be vigilent of hiring a good old boy, re-tread coach just wanting to comfortably ride along and collect more paychecks before retiring. 

One thing about using a search firm, no one will probably ever know who all applied or who even interviewed.  There will be no sightings at the Administration Building until the School Board meeting the day he is announced. 

Not sure how much community connections will matter in this hire since they are using a firm to do the hiring. Most likely the coach with the best resume will get the job. My money is on someone that has been a HC at multiple locations with some success. May workout or may not. 

We all know the deal. Lol that ain't happening 

Looking forward to watching this epic clash for the third year in a row.

But, back to Livingston......
They have good groups coming.
And, they can compete with the right leadership. That leadership does NOT have to include the slot-t. Orangefield proved this year that with good coaching a team can run ANY offense and be successful. 
Culture is MUCH more important than scheme in Livingston. 

100% spot on…. Sprinkle in a dab of support from admin to make some structural changes in the daily schedule, backing when some get their feelings hurt, and good things are just around the bend

Offensive scheme does not dictate success it's the execution, attitude and effort within any systems.
