Those are just a few of the things he has been called around here. There are a select few who really believe he is going to take Hardin back to the playoffs this year. Larry Haynes is literally "worshiped" by some people in Hardin.

Not really jabs, just that the hometown boy has ridden in on his white horse to save the day. The whole fiasco that went down last year and how the situation was manipulated to get Larry back in Hardin made some us sick. Tod Stark is a good coach and a quality person and how he was treated was sinister. Anxious to see how the "Golden Boy" does in his first game back in town.

Now if it was Livingston, well...... That would be a different story.

Crosby has too much depth for Jasper. This game will be close for a half, but the Coogs will simply outlast Jasper. Not a large disparity in top terr talent, just more of it in Crosby.

I think you have to level the playing field as much as possible. It will never be completely fair or even this year, but the opportunity has to be there for all participants. The precedent has been set by the UIL that they will allow teams to play games every 5 days until all games are made up, with that being said, I think this will be the final outcome and ultimate decision with the District games starting as soon as possible.

I really think they have to do whatever possible to keep the competitive balance as even as they possibly can. Obviously Vidor is going to be at a huge disadvantage with the amount of damage to the school and town, but the DEC has a responsibility to do everything possible to keep the playing field level.

I know what you are sayin, but Hardin is.... well...... still Hardin, even with the great Larry Haynes at the helm. I think Huntington won pretty easily last year at Hardin. Just sayin, better not count those chickens before they hatch.

I agree with that statement, don't sleep on the Dawgs, they will be better than last year for sure. They are playing with a chip on their shoulder and without all the drama of last season, I expect Nederland to be playoff team.

This one will be interesting, I think the Broncos win but who know with the state of affairs in SETX. I'm not sure anybody knows how the kids will respond.

It will be interesting to see how the combination of Larry, the new system and the return of the QB plays out. Larry likes to sling the pill, does the QB have some weapons to throw to? I know they have a pretty solid running back. Is the QB a treat running the ball?

That's funny, I'd heard that Larry Haynes cut the Liberty scrimmage short because they were getting beat up. Was it a controlled scrimmage or a timed half/quarter? What was the score? I know Larry can coach, but dang that is a quick turnaround.
