Rusk does not have the defense to even slow Jasper down. Rusk will have to score on almost every possession and hope for a turnover or two to keep this one close.

Madisonville, Belville and Shepherd may very well beat up on each other and finish in a three way tie for first. Don't sleep on Shepherd, Trevor Moye is a game changer and the defense gambles a lot and is tough to block.

Central definitely has enough talent to win this game, the only question is whether or not they are able to put it all together. Nederland is balanced on Offense and physical on defense. The Jaguars are going to have match the Dogs physicality and be more productive on the Offensive side of the ball.

I don't think LCM has what it takes to match up with Silsbee, but if the Tigers are beat up, and still licking their wounds from the whipping Shadow Creek gave them then this one could be closer than expected.

It will be interesting to see how much Jasper wins by, Rusk has come a long way, but they are not good enough to beat Jasper. Will be a good measuring stick game though to see how much better Rusk has gotten.

IMO, it takes three years for a coach to really put his stamp on a program and get things right. I just think after one more off season and another year doing things the right way that Dayton will be back close to what they once were.

A whole lot closer than most people think. Nederland may be the toughest place in this District to play. Hate going in there and hearing AC/DC blaring over the PA and seeing those monsters come out of the locker room. The fans can be rough and tumble and even though i don't think PAM gets intimidated, the Bone Yard is still a 10 point home field advantage. Final score 17-14. Who wins? Who knows?

Great article, it definitely captured the essence of TW and his family. I'm happy for him and The Hill should be thankful to have him and his Son. It sucks that they are experiencing the adversity of so many injuries, but they will preserver and get through this bump in the road.

He is just trolling and trying to make light of a situation he knows nothing about. Most people who speak about the situation in Huntington actually have ZERO insight. They just like to spout off garbage they have heard and unfounded rumors that actually have no foundation in reality.

This sucks for Vidor, because this game could very well go a long way in determining a playoff berth. I really thought before Harvey that Vidor would beat Central in Vidor, but with this being Vidor's first game of the year and Central having one under their belt, I think the Jaguars pull this win out. But, I will say this, the home field advantage may eliminate any advantage Central has. This one will definitely be a real slobber knocker!!

You are 100% dead on correct!!! And Lord willing the staff that is in place is the one that wants to do that.

I have no idea about the commitment of previous staffs, and I have no idea about Admin or Community placing blame, all I DO know is that it will take a special coach (staff) to stay the course and build something successful there and they will have to have the support of the Administration and the Community to get it done.

It takes longer than a year or two and it takes true commitment. Give this staff an opportunity, see if they are as committed as they say they are.
