I don't think it will be a blow out by any stretch of the imagination, Atlanta is a good football team and they have started putting it together, especially on offense. But, Atlanta struggled with Pleasant Grove, and Jasper is very similar on both side of the ball.

Probably because even though many of us want the Rabbs to win, we are realist and understand that Jasper is probably the better team.

It's not Gilmer they have to worry about, it is the Pleasant Grove Hawks. These two teams will be mirror images of each other when they meet in the 3rd round. Both will run the Wing-T offense, and run it well, and both teams will play aggressive defense. Should be one heck of a game.

It does not sound like an ineligibility because of residence, sounds like "no pass, no play eligibility."

I understand, and making the transition from JV Sophomores to Varsity Juniors usually takes about 5 weeks of games. That "growing up" time is over, it is time to start winning foot ball games. And it needs to start this week.

Coastal Carolina won the National Championship in baseball 2 years ago. it only take 8 players and handful of pitchers to make you competitive in baseball. It takes 33 starters and another 11-15 backups to be competitive in football at the college level. Numbers and competitive balance is the reason for the split at the NCAA level and why UIL followed the formula.

Harris had a shot with the Cowboys and one other, but couldn't (really didn't want to) make it. Collins pissed (literally) his chance away at Texas then went to Navarro and a JUCO in Arizona and couldn't catch on with anybody after that. Had an offer from UMASS but didn't go for whatever reason.
