I heard from a good source that some of the players questioned his skin color. ;) Decello will bring hard discipline to the program. Question is, will "some" of the players accept it? ;)

Anthony Decello will be the next boys head basketball coach at HF. He is currently the head girls coach at Tyler Lee. Was at Kountze a couple of years ago as their girls head coach. (of course, this could be subject to change ::))

He will be there three years and then move on. Those folks over there just can't get out of the way. ::)

Upate: The Silsbee coach is no longer a canidate for the WOS job.

Silsbee's 6 errors was the difference in this ball game.

Also, in regards to "all 1A's" having to face the same thing, Hull-Daisetta was the only school in Evadale's basketball district that went to the football playoffs, and they lost in first round. Big Sandy, who is in Evadale's basketball district, doesn't even play football.

To me, comparing Evadale to Nederland is apples and oranges. Nederland did start practicing basketball on the first day of practice and did not have to delay their start to the season. Evadale could not start basketball practice because every single player for them played football and their football season did not end till December. Evadale did not get to play their first game till the 2nd weekend of December and that was only after 1 day of practice.

I really don't think anyone is argueing that Brian should not be COY, but don't belittle what Laurance has done at Evadale and don't say he is hating on Nederland because that is not the case. It just sounded like this manager dude has a personal axe to grind with Coach L and has nothing to do with who should be COY.

I agree. Missing a regular meet or a non district game for a select sport is okay by me. But district, regional, state meets or any playoff game should not be missed for any select sport. If high school sports are considered just a "past time" and not an "important time", then don't "waste the time". ;)

I agree that Adam Stark should have been on the Super Gold team, but he is not the only local player playing in the TABC all star game.

I was told that the announcement was to have been last Friday, now it's on hold. They have made an offer but according to my source, some "things" have come up. ;)

Due to budget cuts, some local coaching staffs may get trimmed down. Post any info on local staffs that have been or will be cut. This is not just football related, all sports. Silsbee 3 HS coaches cut 2 MS coaches cut (1 took early retirement)

Where has Coach L hated on Nederland? I have not seen him post on this forum. #1 Manager is reaching.
