4.
y'all are reading too much into this.  the first sentence of his post was "my take on Ofield".  it would clearly stand to reason that his statements would be about orangefield.  if he'd said "my take on the game", i can see where you might be more justified in your response.
Exactly. Conspiracy theorists. ::)
 5. Turnovers doom OF against HJ; Hawks win, 54-40 Gabriel Pruett The Orange Leader ORANGEFIELD — A team cannot expect to beat the No. 4 Hardin-Jefferson Hawks with 22 turnovers on the board. The Hawks used the extra possessions to down the Orangefield Bobcats 54-40 at Bobcats Gym Tuesday night. Grayson Sutherland led a balanced Hardin-Jefferson (25-2, 2-0) attack with 17 points, 13 coming in the second half. The Hawks were able to take a 13-8 deficit after the first quarter into a 26-20 lead at half-time as the Bobcats (14-11, 1-1) went ice cold on offense. Orangefield finished the first quarter on a 7-0 run only to see Hardin-Jefferson open the second on a 6-0 run to take a 14-13 lead. Zach Hayes, who finished with nine points and 16 rebounds, hit a jumper to end the Hawks run. Hardin-Jefferson was far from down in the quarter as the Hawks then went on another six point run to stretch the lead to 20-15. The Hawks outscored the Bobcats 18-7 in the pivotal second quarter. Sutherland then got hot in the third as Hardin-Jefferson started to pull away. Sutherland drained a three-pointer moments after Bryden Smith hit one for Orangefield. Smith finished with eight points for the Bobcats. The Bobcats fought back to get to within 35-29 before Sutherland hit another shot. Sutherland and the Hawks were then helped out by the hometeam Bobcats. Hardin-Jefferson led 37-30 with seconds on the clock and Sutherland put up a three-point attempt and was fouled by Aaron Riddick with less than a second left in the quarter. Sutherland sank all three free throws to make it 40-30 heading into the fourth. Hardin-Jefferson outscored Orangefield 14-10 in the game’s final quarter as Sutherland and Garrett Gustafson each have five points. Gustafson finished with seven points. It was a stark contrast from the first period when the Bobcats played at a high level. Hayes sank a three-pointer to put Orangefield up 9-8 and Riddick followed with a pair of free throws. Christian Holland, who had four points, then hit a jumper to make it 13-8 Orangefield after the first period. Derrick Evans put in seven points for the Bobcats while Riddick finished with four. Logan Moss grabbed four rebounds. Jacoby Turner was held to eight points and nine rebounds while Philip Ricossa had seven points and nine rebounds. Hardin-Jefferson out-rebounded Orangefield 31-30. The Bobcats were 6-for-8 from the free throw line while the Hawks were 9-for-14. Hardin-Jefferson only turned the ball over 13 times in the game. The road does not get any easier for the Bobcats who travel to face the No. 6 Silsbee Tigers. The Hawks will be home to face Hamshire-Fannett.

 9.
Jasper 53-43
Well then, so much for that theory. ;D
 10. 3???? They blew that one. If the bucket counted, I believe it is one free throw and the possession.
 11.
?
Usually when it's tough to find a Jasper score, it means they lost. Usually. ;) ;D What, the guys over at Easttex can't find the score?
 12.
I used my verizon wireless card last year over there and had no problems!!!
That's what I used, but it didn't work very well. The upload speed was terrible which kept me from being able to do a broadcast.
 13.
Network coverage in BC is horrible. I could only get my phone to upload a new page twice during halftime. One score i posted took so long to show up that when it did 10 more points had already been scored.
TELL ME ABOUT IT!!! IT SUCKED!!! After giving up on trying to broadcast the game, I tried to just do up to the minute updates. I couldn't even do that. The wireless speed was terribly slow in that gym. It was driving me crazy!!! I'll have to come up with something else the next time I am over there. Sheesh!
 14. Scoring for both teams: Silsbee Pheal Hill      24 ( 6 rebounds ) Prentice Lane 10 D.C. Stallworth 10 Avory Thomas   8 ( 12 rebounds, 6 block shots ) Leroy Simmons  5 Kendrick Jones  4 ( 9 rebounds, 3 block shots ) Xavior Harris    4 Kelton Gaines   4 Waylon Lockett 2 Ronald Barrett   1 Bridge City Tanner Girouard   18 Nathan McAnally   10 Johnathan Peterson 8 Will Veillon             6 Cody Fisette         3 Tanner Hogan        2 Score by quarters                                1       2       3       4       tot Silsbee                     19      23      12     18       72 BC                            3       13      17     14       47 Silsbee shot 63% from the line, going 12/19. BC was 13/16, 81%. Silsbee was 2/7 from the 3 point line, 28%, BC was 2/5, 40%. Silsbee out rebounded the Cards, 39-23. The Tigers were led by Thomas' 12 and Jones' 9 boards. Thomas also had 6 block shots and Jones had 3. Silsbee as a team had 10, BC had 4. Both teams suffered their share of turnovers. Silsbee had 18 while BC had 25! Silsbee played well in the first half building a 26 point lead at the half, 42-16. They forced 17 turnovers by the Cards in the first half and also went to the line 14 times, hitting 9 of them. Silsbee looked like they were on their way to another easy blowout win. Then the second half. It was quite possible the worst half of basketball that the Tigers have played all season. Several turnovers, lazy defense, and just a total poor effort by Silsbee in the second half. Give BC credit, they kept playing hard and took advantage of Silsbee's lackadasical play. BC simply outplayed the Tigers in the second half. It wasn't a pretty win by the Tigers, but nonetheless a win. Silsbee will have to step it up a bit this Friday when they host Orangefield.
