The closeness of this game (HJ will win) all depends on which Orangefield team shows up, not which HJ team. If the Bobcat team that took down Coldspring by 13 two games ago shows up, this game could be a 5-10 point game. But if the Bobcat team that got taken to OT by Hamshire-Fannett in the last game shows up, HJ wins by 30 or more. I say it's somewhere in the middle, HJ covers, 74-52.

The Silsbee Tigers (18-2, 1-0) ranked #6 in state, #1 in the HoopInsider polls, will travel back over to Orange County as they will take on the Bridge City Cardinals (10-13, 0-1) in the Cardinal Nest at Bridge City High School, Tuesday night at 7:30pm. The Tigers are riding a 10 game win streak after coming off a big time win over WOS, 84-59 in the district opener. Bridge City opened with Hardin-Jefferson in district and went down in defeat 76-58. These two teams go way back as they have been playing each other on and off since the '60's. Broadcast time will start 10 minutes prior to tipoff which is scheduled for 7:30. Spurger plays baseball and they are quite good at it too. ;) Several of these guys play on the diamond as well.

I agree, I was expecting the new HJ gym to be much bigger.

Aggies played hard, actually out played the horns the entire game, just couldn't close it out. Tough loss for A&M. Credit to the horns for gutting it out.
