2. I think I am going to head over to BC early and get a pregame meal before I have to put on the headset to do the play-by-play tonight. Any suggestions on a eating place in BC?
No, coachacola was. mffl is just a Lamar staff member, not a mod.
 6. I know that Doss and Mathews were recruited. Where did they sign? ;) I would rank Mathews better than Doss. In fact, I would put these 5 ahead of Doss: Bobby McGallion Randy Mathews Philip Lindsey Sedrick Spearman Jasper Lewis I could see Doss listed among these players, but not the best to ever play for Silsbee. As for JJ being rated top 10 nationally, that's what Scout and Rivals had him listed, just going by those recruiting services.

 8.
I vote Brian Doss
Not even close. Jeremy Johnson holds every QB record both season and career at Silsbee. He is the ONLY Silsbee QB to be as highly recruited as he was this past season. Rated top 10 dual threat QB in nation, not just state. Was ranked the 3rd best QB overall coming out of the state of Texas last year. Doss didn't come close to being recruited like JJ was. I can think of 5 other Silsbee QB's that were better than Doss.

 11. I like how Thomas stated that "we are only looking to see if anyone would be interested in taking on this project". Really?? I am quite sure he already has a contractor in place and a hotel chain standing by, both ready to do whatever it takes ;) to get the job done. ;) ::)

Cannot host regional tournaments on a home teams floor....must be a neutral site.
Duh! Regional meaning teams from regions located outside of Region 5..... ::)
Region 5?? There are only 4 athletic regions, I-IV. Southeast Texas schools are in Region III. You must be speaking of the educational regions.
 13. Tonight, the Silsbee Tigers travel to Sour Lake to take on the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks in district 21-3A play. The Tigers (4-3, 1-1) are coming off a tough loss at home to Bridge City, 26-22, while the Hawks (2-5, 1-1) broke a 4 game losing streak by getting a district win over Hamshire-Fannett, 20-18. Both of these teams are battling for a playoff spot and a win tonight would help solidify a spot. Silsbee leads the all-time series with HJ, 7-1, after winning last year's game, 56-26. Pre-game will start at 7pm with the kickoff set for 7:30pm. Mike Sanchez and Tim Scoggins will bring you all the action, LIVE here on SETXsports! Just click the link provided to hear all the action. 14. Gas, I have seen both of these teams play, I am convinced that WOS is the better team. Now we know sometimes the better team loses games, but I just don't see it happening this time. Example, Silsbee turns the ball over 5 times against BC, but only loses by 4 points, had every chance to win that game, out gained BC 380-317. If Silsbee turns the ball over 5 times to WOS, Silsbee will lose by 3 TD's, you can bank on it. ;)
 15. So, Kirbyville gives up 31 points to BC and that automatically makes their defense better than WOS's? Not following that logic. Would Silsbee only giving up 26 to BC make their defense better than Kirbyville's? Yes, WOS only scored 14 against Kirbyville, but they only gave up 28, not 51. I still say WOS wins by two TD's WOS   28 BC      14
I think they call it the YMBL, held at the Montagne. 16 teams, pretty good tourney.
I guess.
You can forget BISD hosting any kind of "small" school tourney or have any tourney that will have a great number of small schools involved. That's what the surrounding towns have going with their tourneys. BISD/YMBL is looking to make their tourney much bigger but with more 4A and 5A teams. Also, a girls tourney, sadly, would not even be considered.
