Jordan has asked me to post this about the possibility of bringing Aaron back. Joey and I had a good conversation with Aaron last night after the show. He seemed to be ready to move on and come back and contribute to the site. He registered back on the site today and pm'd Jordan asking about coming back on staff in a limited role to start. Joey and I told him we could use some help over at the Eastex site and he seem interested in helping out. He really seemed sincere and basically had his "hat in his hand". Jordan wants to know what everyone thinks about this so please give us your input. I am okay with him coming back as a mod. I also wouldn't have a problem with him having to wait a while to reclaim that status. What do you guys think?

It's playoff time!! For the third consecutive year, the Silsbee Tigers will be taking on the Huffman-Hargrave Falcons in the class 3A Div. I Region III Bi-district round of the playoffs, tonight at 7:30pm @ Provost-Humphrey Stadium on the campus of Lamar University. This will be the first high school game to be played in the newly renovated Provost-Humphrey Stadium. The Tigers (6-4, 3-2), 3rd in district 21-3A, come into the playoffs off a win over Hamshire-Fannett, 46-14. The Falcons (8-2, 5-1) finished 2nd in 22-3A and are coming off a bye week. Silsbee leads this series 2-0, with both wins coming in the b-district round, 20-16 2008 and 54-35 in last years 1st round. The winner of this game will advance to the regional quarterfinal round facing the winner of the Navasota/Sealy matchup. Our broadcast time will be 7pm with kickoff to follow at 7:30. The simple answer to this simple question that is the title of this thread is quite simply "NO". HS coaches are not to blame. You yourself has stated many times that it's the "AAU people" that get these scholarships for these "athletes". If they don't get the scholarships, the only one's to blame would be the "AAU guys". ;) Now Dove, what other personal soapbox would you like to discuss? Playing time? Type of offense designed around one player? Parental control? How to handle "prima donna's"?

I saw where KOGT is doing both the BC and WOS games Friday night. The BC game will be webcast only while the WOS game will be on the radio and webcast. Curious as to who Gary has doing the BC game.

Maybe these athletes that you speak of are just not good enough to get scholarships to play at the next level. ;) Some of these athletes (particularly their parents or guardians ;)) have this sense of entitlement when it comes to the next level, not just the college level. ;)

Wanted to ask this question here. What do you guys think about us having a consensus basketball poll like we did in football? Chad has always had his own poll, HoopInsider poll, and I have had no problem with it. But some of our basketball guys (you probably know who I am speaking of) have had problems with Chad's polls and some of them have asked me if we can do a basketball poll like what is done in football. Probably wouldn't get 10 guys, more like 5-6, and it would only be a top 10, not 15. Probably still do it 5A-3A, 2A-Private. I will ask Chad if he is interested in participating or if he justs wants to do his own. What do you guys think? Any suggestions on who should be involved? I was thinking of starting with at least these 6 and going from there (would love to have 10): Myself Joey Chad LAZEEK Bobcat05 Soulja Todd, if you would like, you can do it also.

Both are in good locations as far as pressboxes go, would have no problem with internet access. The draw for the WOS game is that it's in Beaumont, much closer drive for me. The draw for the other game, probably the better game and I would enjoy seeing BC get whooped! ;D (if you haven't noticed, some of the BC people don't care much for me) Bottom line, I'll go where it's best for our site to go and where the money is. ;D
