I think getting paid 6 figures and being the AD at a 5A school had more to do with Boutte leaving Ozen than the lack of talent. ;)

If 20-4A changes to a 7 team district rather than the 8 they have now, this would force 6 of the 7 teams to have their bye week during district play. All of the teams would have 4 non district games (week 0-week 3), then 1 team would have their bye week in week 4 (first week of district play), 1 team would have their bye week in week 5 (2nd week of district play) and so on and so on until week 10 where a team will have their bye week. So, only one team would have a similar type schedule as they have had the last few years (non district games, a bye week, then district games) where as 5 teams would have a schedule of non district games, district games with a bye week in between somewhere. Then one team will have a schedule of non district games, then all of their district games, then their bye week in week 10.

Oh yeah, there is LOTS to discuss about the state of 20-4A!! ;D [/quote] In the grand scheme of the playoffs, the Warren @ Hardin game is more important than the Silsbee @ HJ game. Silsbee and HJ will go to the playoffs, where as Warren, Hardin and Buna will battle till the last district game for that last playoff spot behind Kountze and East Chambers. That is a vital game as far as the playoffs are concerned. I would think that winning a game that in that scenario is more important than bragging rights.

Some pretty important games to discuss this week. I think the most important game for Tuesday night is Warren @ Hardin. These two are battling Buna for that 3rd playoff spot. All three are currently tied. Friday night has Huffman @ Splendora and a win by Huffman could get them in the mix for the playoffs.
