ya i remember seeing jr play little dribblers. and ya i guess so aggies i agree getting your butts whooped subs or not should drop you in the polls. but Legacy better drop as well.
They should. (boy, you Kelly people have a lot of animosity towards Legacy, is it because you guys are no longer the only "private" school in Beaumont? ;) ;D)
 4. 34-7 Hmmm, Kelly will have to drop in the polls now. ;) ;D
 5. Don't see it happening. The opposing coach has to agree to the game being held on the other team's home stadium unless they go through some coin tosses.

 7.
Ok folks, here's what we've got.  This is based on Lovelady beating Hull-Daisetta this week and setting up for West Sabine & H-D in the final week of regular play.  I got this information from someone else, but I hope it helps shed some light on the situation. Point difference between the 3 teams (Max of 21 per game) West Hardin +8 WH 14 -- WS 27 -13 WH 57 -- HD 20 +21 West Sabine +13 HD -21 HD beats WS by 18 or more, then WH in as 2nd and HD 3rd & WS out. If HD beats WS by 6-17, then WH will be 2nd, WS 3rd & HD is out. If HD loses to WS, WS is 2nd, WH is 3rd & HD is out.
The last possibility is what will happen, mark it down. West Sabine beats HD and will be #2 seed, West Hardin #3 seed, HD out.

 9.

I don't know what refs you saw, but I know they missed some pretty big calls that should have gone for silsbee. Maybe I wasn't paying attention to the ones your talking about but I saw pass interferences called correctly and the right call on the field goal block. You won so why worry about the refs? WOS has a good team, they just lack discipline.
Are you serious?  Silsbee was given a bad call on an intentional grounding (the QB was way outside the pocket).  Other than that, the refs gave several bad calls to WO-S.  The one that was most ridiculous was the tackle out of bounds by a Silsbee player.  I player tackled was slammed near the edge of the track.  The ref told our HC that it was the job of the sideline judge to make that call, and he didn't see it, all the while the ref explaining this DID see it and didn't call it!  Incompetence at it's finest.  The blocked FG attempt was CAUGHT by WO-S in the end zone.  The first ref to rule on it got it right...he signaled a TD. The pass interference was made on a player who had his face toward the passer the whole time and never ran into the receiver.  It was a solid defensive play, and the ref blew it.
The rule on blocked FG's is that it is a dead ball if the blocked field goal advances past the line of scrimmage up until the defending team touches the ball first(after the initial block), then it is considered a live ball and the kicking team can recover and advance the ball. In the case last night, the kick was blocked, the ball advanced past the line of scrimmage, and was caught in the air by a WOS player before a Silsbee player touched the ball. The ball is considered dead. The refs got that one right. Silsbee's ball on the 20. Example: remember the Leon Lett Thanksgiving snow game against Miami. ;)

[Hidden Content] Would like "yall" to double check me... If... Vidor beats Livingston, and Ozen beats Lumberton, Ozen is in.  Is that correct? And... If.... Baytown Lee beats Goose Creek Memorial, Baytown Lee is in.  Is that correct? Don't want to give away my predictions for week 10, but that affects my power rankings. ps... CONGRATS TO THE RAIDERS!!!  Great night for the kids getting thier first victory of the season, and posting a shut out, none the less!
Yes, that is correct. The Lee/GCM game is a playoff game. Winner gets playoff spot, loser season ends.
 12. Too late, we will add them next year.
 13.
I changed it back. I was right the first time. If Silsbee, HF and Orangefield all end up 2-3, Orangefield is +6 and HF is -14. Even if HF beats Silsbee by the max (+18), they would still only be +4 while Orangefield is +6. That gives Orangefield the last spot.
You are correct. It's pretty simple for Silsbee, a win over HF and they are in, regardless of how the BC/OF game turns out.
 14.
WOS is in and will go DII-C Bridge City is in with a:   win OR   Silsbee loss OR   loss to Orangefield by 6 points or less Silsbee is in with a:   win OR   loss to Hamshire-Fannett by 2 points or less Orangefield is in with a:   win by 7 points or more OR   win and Silsbee loss by 3 points or more Hamshire-Fannett is out Hardin-Jefferson is out
Hamshire-Fannett is not out of it yet. HF could still end up in a three way tie with Silsbee and Orangefield if HF beats Silsbee and BC beats Orangefield. All three would be 2-3. Then it would be up to a points tiebreaker between the three. Right now the point total between HF, OF and Silsbee is as follows: Silsbee +8    15-7 win over Orangefield OF  +6        15-7 loss to Silsbee, 28-14 win over HF (their point total is finished) HF -14          28-14 loss to Orangefield Only way HF gets in is for them to beat Silsbee by 11 points or more and have Orangefield lose to BC. That would put HF and Silsbee both at -3 and HF would break the tie with head to head win. All Silsbee has to do is beat HF(no matter how much), that would finish Silsbee at 3-2 (HF 2-3) and the Tigers have the advantage of the points tiebreaker with BC and OF. Silsbee can lose to HF by 10 points or less and get in the playoffs as long as BC beats Orangefield. Point totals in the case of a three way tie with BC, OF and Silsbee are as follows: BC  +6 Silsbee +2 OF  -8 Only way Orangefield gets in with this tie would be to beat BC by 7 points or more, which would put BC and Orangefield with a -1 point totals and Orangefield would get the playoff position with their head to head win over BC. BC gets in with a win over OF or a loss of 6 points or less.
 15.
WOS 14 WINS Silisbee 4 wins...... ALL TIME against each other
Actually, WOS leads the series 16-3 all time.
 16. WOS Chain Gang Defense stepped up in the 2nd half, virtually shutting down the Tigers. The 3rd quarter was purely dominant by the Mustang defense. Silsbee only had 6 offensive plays in that quarter, gaining a minus 2 yards. Silsbee had a -16 yards rushing in the second half after gaining 100 yards in the first half. Silsbee did throw for 200 yards for the game, ending with a total of 284 yards of offense. WOS's offense finally decided to go to the run game after their first two offensive possessions were 3 and outs, and it paid off dearly. Mustangs rushed for over 250 yards, exploiting the Tiger's defense in the middle, with Lindsey and Salter having very good games on the ground. Salter did pass for 95 yards and a TD. Silsbee's defense just wore down in the second half. Silsbee's offense relied on the big play tonight and had it not been for 4 big plays, the Tiger offense would have been shut out. Just too much speed on that Mustang D. It should also be noted that penalties killed the Mustangs tonight. Had it not been for some very untimely penalties on WOS, the Mustangs probably win this game by 3-4 TD's. Congrats WOS on a very good game and win. You were clearly the better team. Congrats on your district championship. Silsbee, keep your head up. Got one game left and a win over Hamshire-Fannett will send you guys to the playoffs once again.
 17. Halftime total yards WOS    194 Silsbee  199
 18. Halftime WOS      14 Silsbee    13
 19. Silsbee will be without their defensive coordinator Coach Hickman tonight. Prayers out to him and his family as Coach Hickman's wife undergoes surgery this evening.
If our O can't put enough points on the board...what differance does it make how good a defense is. ;D Oh and if your saying Silsbee's defense is better than WO-S...That's a stretch. Will find out tonight if me or you know what we are talking about. ;D
Well, thru 3 district games, statistically, Silsbee's defense is better. Silsbee rushing    100.7 passing    106.6 total        207.3 points        6.7 WOS rushing      142.3 passing    138.7 total        281 points        14
AAW, you know that is not a good measure because Silsbee has played HJ. WOS has not, obvously the weakest team in the district.
Good point. How about comparing the common opponent district games, BC and Orangefield? Against Silsbee                         rushing            passing          total          points Orangefield          85                    77              162              7 (fumble return, not offensive TD) BC                    133                    57              190              6 Against WOS Orangefield          211                  0                211            14 BC                    147                  212              359            16
