2.
This is the age old football vs. basketball question. Play!!! They're kids and it's part of the high school experience. Besides, when you're 17 - 18 years old you should be able to go all day and twice that on Sunday. Staying in shape all year long is the ticket to success....there is no off season....and cross training is a good thing.
I think you missed no-look's point with this thread. He is asking should a school cancel a basketball game if their football team is still in the playoffs. Some schools (many small schools) have basically their entire varsity basketball team playing football, so many times they do not have enough players to field a basketball team until football season is over. There have been several basketball games canceled the last couple of weeks because a school's football team is still in the playoffs. In no-look's case, Crockett, who is still in the playoffs and most of it's varsity basketball team plays football, canceled their game with Huntington(no-look's team) for tomorrow night. Huntington got a replacement game with Broaddus. Some argue to just let jv and freshman players play those varsity basketball games until football is over. If 80% of your varsity basketball team is made up of football players (very common in small schools) then I really don't see the point in playing those jv freshmen players against someone's varsity team.
 3.
Your football teams in the playoffs and you have the option to play basketball or not.
I guess it matters to how many of the football players make up their basketball team. If I remember correctly, just about the entire(10 of 13 players) Crockett basketball team from last year was made up of football players. I am assuming this year to be the same.
 4.
I dont have that, I got the paper bracket while walking through our locker room Saturday.  You would have to get with someone from Evadale for that.  Sorry.
I am on it. Coach Williams is sending it to me in the morning.
 5. Easy call on this one. Singleton for PAM. Rushed for more yards AND his team WON the game. But, the BE player of the week is strictly a popularity contest. It's "who can drum up the most votes" and that usually goes to the player who has the bigger amount of fans that read the BE online. Too bad the BE doesn't include Coldspring as one of it's teams they cover. Gilbert of Coldspring rushed for 300 yards in their win this week.
 6. Difference, Crockett wasn't better last year. Better this year. See, that was simple.

Because Crockett is better.
Once again, would you like to elaborate?  What makes you think Crockett is better?  Wasn't Crockett better than Tatum last year too?.... LOL
Nope, not in my opinion. Crockett is better this year. Besides, if I have to explain it to you, it would just be over your head. Waste of my time.
If you want to be a smart alec and show your lack of maturity, fine with me.  You obviously know more about Crockett than I do so I was asking a question.  Now, run along and wash the dishes like your mommy told you to.
Class of 2004 huh? I've got hats older than you. In all my 47 years I have learned one thing, keep it simple for the simple folk. ;) Just trying to make it easy on you.

 11. Oh, and this game will be broadcast here at SETXsports!! Guest color commentator none other than basketball aficionado R.V. Baugus!!!
 12.
Green should be ready to play for Ozen. Should be a great game.
I expect Green, Jones and a couple of other football players to play for Ozen, but not much. Silsbee will try to run these guys and just don't see them quite ready for a full game particularly after just playing Saturday in a very physical football game versus LaMarque.
 13. I reiterate: WOS    17 CS        7 Bank on it!!!!
 14. This is exactly where I had the Titans to be this time of year, in the Region III finals!! Now make my preseason prediction of PAM being a state semifinalist come true! Congrats on the season so far!!
 15. Nederland will be far from rebuilding next year. Dogs have 17 returning starters from a regional semifinal, undefeated district champion team. The expectations will be extremely high for this team next year.
