Both coaches have to agree on moving the game. I am always for accommodating for the multiple sport athletes whenever possible.

Silsbee's Adam Valencia hit his 1st homer of the season yesterday in game against Bridge City. Adam is a senior. Gives Silsbee a team total of 16 on year.

Updated thru today's seeding games. Still have a 4th seed game in 19-4A to be played between Crosby and Dayton. Also, 25-2A is not complete due to East Chambers/Deweyville game being played tonight.

When you play BC 3 times (2 in district, 1 in seed game) and come away with 35 hits off their pitching, that says a lot about how well a hitting team you are overall. I can remember times where Silsbee would get a total of 35 hits off BC but it would take them 15 games to do it, not 3.  :o

Bridge City (22-8, 11-1) ranked #22 in state polls this week, defeated Orangefield last night, 18-4, to finish in a tie for first with Silsbee. Silsbee (23-5, 11-1) ranked #17 in state polls, defeated WO-S, 13-2, to set up this #1 seed game. These two teams split in district play, winning at home with identical scores of 5-4.
