  1. Hate it myself. Not sure why the kids gave it that name.
  2. Then why say "I" got screwed instead of "we all" got screwed if you understood the rules?
  3. Silsbee scored 120 against PN-G earlier this season.
  4. Here is the schedule of games for Tuesday, Jan. 19 pickems: (picks need to be posted by 6pm Tuesday) (-4) PA Memorial at West Brook La Porte at North Shore (-13) (-16) New Caney at Barbers Hill Dayton at Humble (-23) Porter at CE King (-31) (-26) Ozen at Baytown Lee (-28) Central at PN-G (-21) Nederland at GCM Vidor at Lumberton (-6) (-6) Lufkin Hudson at Diboll Huntington at Jasper (-8) (-18) Cleveland at Tarkington (-5) Coldspring at Shepherd (-15) Liberty at Splendora Orangefield at Bridge City (-14) Hardin-Jefferson at Silsbee (-12) (-4) WO-S at LC-M (-20) Woodville at Hemphill (-16) Pollock Central at Newton Kirbyville at Buna (-21) (-29) East Chambers at Hardin Warren at Kountze (-23) Brookeland at Zavalla (-19) (-32) San Augustine at Lufkin Pineywoods Evadale at Big Sandy (-29) Good luck!
  5. Everyone did. In these pickems, like I stated from the beginning, all pushes are considered losses. So everyone got a loss in any game that was a push, regardless of what team you picked.
  6. Silsbee has not had a freshmen team since before the holidays because of grades. 2 play varsity, 4 play JV. The rest are ineligible (about 6). If any of those are passing, they will not be eligible till next Friday. This is why there will only be two games Tuesday.
  7. Newton 71, Hemphill 36 Garrison 39, Corrigan 26

  9. No Jasper basketball player was involved. Silsbee team was walking to bus after game and several Jasper football players jumped a few of the Tiger players, one sucker punching M. McCain in the eye. From what I was told it was a beef from football. Jasper kids were waiting outside for Silsbee team to come out. A couple of Jasper football players and 1 older fan were detained by law enforcement. The injury that will likely keep McCain out the remainder of season is a hand injury that he sustained defending himself in altercation. Looks like broken bone. Feel bad for Michael.

  11. Just to clear up some questions or statements. Silsbee beat LC-M by 3 last year at LC-M and then beat them by 38 at home. This year's game at Silsbee, Tigers led 43-26 at end of 3rd.Then out scored the Bears 33-5 in the 4th to win 76-31.

  13. Well, the last time a prediction of a 40 point win actually happened. Silsbee beat Jasper by 40 the last two seasons. It's been a long time since 2009. Jasper has that 1 single win and people want to hang on it. smh
  14. I saw a freshman take Pearson to school earlier in the season.
  15. On that date, that is for Hamshire-Fannett game
  16. If what I am hearing is true and transpires, then yep.
  17. Based on some things I am hearing, the early line is HJ (-6).
  18. Maybe I need to change my user name from "AAW" to "The Bar"?

  20. Silsbee hit 4 three's in the 4th Q. Devon McCain, Jordyn Adams and Dontre Thomas combined were 12/15 FT. The rest of team was 3/17. As for the officials, they were the College Station Chapter. The tall official, who seemed to have a chip on his shoulder to start with, has done a Silsbee game in the past. He did the 1st playoff game against Yates. He seemed to officiate with an attitude of "don't ever question my call". But, when you go outside for district games, you get what you get and sometimes that is the bottom of the barrel. This chapter will officiate the next time Silsbee and LC-M play. Pretty sure it will not be the same three.
