Agreed. I think the district overall is much more level than it has been in many years. I still think Silsbee is the district favorite but the gap has closed quite significantly. Also, the other teams (H-F, Lumberton, BC, WO-S and LC-M) are very close to H-J but I still think only the Hawks can be the team to take the district title from Silsbee. But, isn't it about time somebody else won district?

Wait. What about all the special teams? Kickoff team, kickoff receive team, punt team, punt receive team, field goal team, extra point team? That should be 66 which makes 88 players for football.

I am just going off some of the eye tests I have so far this season and the rankings are a week to week thing. Some of my reasoning is about how well a team is playing and not necessarily who would beat who. Strength of schedule is a factor. In regards to HJ and Lumberton, if I were to bet, my money would be on HJ straight up and would put them as 10 point favorites. Now betting them to cover might be a different issue.

Huntington and Tarkington did as well.
