First of all, the scheduling of games is a two way street. One coach may want to play but the other has to agree. Not trying to diminish EC but what good does it do for teams like United, Memorial, West Brook and even Silsbee to play East Chambers? I can see Silsbee playing EC this year but not the past few seasons and United, Memorial and WB should not schedule any 3A school no matter how good they are. The other thing with East Chambers scheduling is that the football team makes deep runs in the playoffs therefore pushing back the basketball season. EC has not played their first basketball game the last few years till December. Hard to get those type teams scheduled during that time. Those bigger schools are looking for bigger teams to play to get ready for district play. Personally, I see nothing wrong with EC schedule and it really hasn't hampered them in the playoffs.

Silsbee made the necessary defensive adjustments in 2nd half. First 4 minutes of 2nd half was pivotal. HJ was forced to punt on their first possession and ball was snapped over punter's head for a safety. 23-17 Silsbee. Tigers scored 4 plays later to make it 29-17 (missed 2 point conversion). HJ fumbled the ensuing kick off and Silsbee scored 2 plays later to make it 36-17. Hawks had to play from behind rest of game which is not conducive to their offense. Silsbee out scored HJ 37-7 in 2nd half. Silsbee never punted in the game. Tigers scored on every possession except one (fumbled on 2nd play of 2nd possession in 1st half). Silsbee rushed for over 330 yards with Taylor getting over 200 yards and 3 TD's. Foster was 4-4 passing for 130 yards and 2 TD's. Not sure I can remember a time where a Silsbee offense only attempted 4 passes in a game. Also, the longest pass attempt by Foster was no more than 15 yards. No deep throws attempted at all in this game. (yes Cartwright's TD was 85 yards but it was on a 10 yard slant route, he did the rest). All in all a good offensive game for Silsbee and a good 2nd half for the defense. Props to Hardin-Jefferson QB Westen Nugent. He had a great game! Over 175 yards rushing, scoring all 3 TD's and was 4-8 passing for 76 yards. His ball fakes had the Tiger defenders (and me) guessing. Complete stats will be posted soon.

Exactly. They talked more about how the Yankees lost the game than how the Astros won the game. A-Rod will pick the Yankees to win tonight and win the series. -
It's a coaches responsibility to check the proper box on all transfers. If it's athletic reasons, check the box. UIL requires the coach to do so.

Very good break down. Perfect world for Astros would be they win tomorrow, Verlander closes it out in New York Friday, Cole gets game 1 start in WS and Verlander gets game 2 start on full rest. -
I think all stadiums, old or new, should be required to have elevators to press boxes that have more than 20 rows. Abe Martin has over 40!! Press box is not the best either. That school deserves better.
