  1. Tyler slipping the play before was what cost Silsbee the win.
  2. Yep It just makes for a scheduling nightmare for the tournament director. I have seen this happen a few times lately. Team A doesn't want to play Team B because they are in same district or likely to play each other in playoffs. Then I would suggest that Team A coach call Team B coach before the season and ask what tourneys he is playing. Then make your schedule.
  3. I mean, what is the difference of playing a team in the semis versus in the finals?
  4. Doesn't hurt that Silsbee dropped down a division.
  5. Yep. They also have a '6"3 receiver who has 59 receptions for over 1200 yards and 17 TD's
  6. Me thinks Silsbee will have to score 42 or more to win this one.
  7. Interesting Why not let the two teams who lost to those two advance?
  8. Common opponent Giddings Wimberly beat Giddings in week 2, 29-22 Silsbee beat Giddings last week 35-14
  9. Wimberly loves to chunk it. Here is some stats: [Hidden Content]-(wimberley,tx)/football/stats.htm QB has thrown for over 3100 yards and 42 TD's Have two RBs who have combined for 1800 yards and 27 TD's Offense averaging 430 yards and 41 points a game.
  10. Direct quote from WO-S HC Cornell Thompson: "We have been dogs chasing cars all season and we finally caught one". Classic!!!
  11. The way some talked, everything could go Silsbee's way (breaks) and they still would not be good enough to beat the Mustangs.
  12. Silsbee was a MASH unit on the defensive side of the ball. Already down 4 starters on that side (more like 4 Stars), Tigers lost two more (Stars) during the game. There were 3-4 players on the D-Line that had seen very limited action all season. It was definitely a "next man up" situation for Silsbee. Also props to freshman ILB Jayron Williams. He got his first start last night (due to some of those injuries) and he showed out!! Great game!
  13. I agree 100%. I thought the decision to kick the 48 FG was the biggest decision and play of the game. Swung the momentum. Huge kick!!!
  14. I will never lump an entire fan base off what a handful of fans say or do. I have extreme respect for WO-S football and all that surrounds it. Also have great respect for some of their fans here on this site. WOSGrad, griff, Gasilla, GUNHO, WO-S 89. Mad respect. But there are a few (and everybody has them, including Silsbee) that made comments in the "smack" thread (for a lack of better words) that showed zero respect for Silsbee football. You know who you are. Comments like "game will be over by halftime", "Silsbee will not score more than 14", "Tigers aren't tough enough". Score predictions like "42-14", "28-7", etc. etc. For those few I say this: HOW BOUT DEM TIGERS!!!!!!!!! 3-0 BABY!!!!!!
  15. I have watched Silsbee kicker Diego Gonzales make 50+ yard FG in warm ups. Young man has a great leg. Just a junior. I can see him kicking at the next level.
  16. Bush is averaging 42.7 points a game. Right now, Silsbee needs every single point. IMO, I think it's tougher on Bush right now due to the fact he is really the only scoring option that Silsbee has and teams are trying to defend that. I honestly do not think in this particular situation that players like Hefner, Harrison and Loftin do not score nearly as much as what Bush is doing if they were in Bush's shoes.
  17. But I'll be nice.
  18. 49 is the official total
  19. Please post boys games only
  20. Finals La Christian 59 Grace Baptist 52 Takoa. 29 Sharpstown 80 Kimball. 77 La Christian 68
  21. Final 65-41 Lufkin Now I head to the dogdome hospitality room for some grub
  22. 3:33 3rd 44-31 Lufkin Panthers on a 16-1 run
