  1. I will take the word of Coach Joubert over these "fans". I am always welcome at Kountze.
  2. Yep. Very good 7th grade group according to Joub.
  3. After watching Kountze play last season in what was one of if not the worst season in their history (winning just 3 games last year, arguably the worst Kountze team that I had ever seen) I was curious to see how the Lions would be this season. Well, after watching them earlier this season and then broadcasting their win last night over Buna, I am here to claim that things are all right in the local basketball world because Kountze Lion basketball is back! The Lions looked like what we around here have always been accustomed to seeing and it makes me very happy to see this fantastic turnaround. I am so happy for Coach Joubert and the Lion faithful. They went through an embarrassing season last year going 3-26. Only 1 district win. Now, the Lions are back on top of the district and look to be a force in the playoffs. Kudos to the coaches and players for putting last season behind them and getting back to Kountze basketball. I said it last week and will say it again. The local boys high school basketball scene is so much better when Kountze is battling for district and regional titles. The Lions are back!!
  4. Said it before district play started that this was the toughest district. Even posted a thread about it.
  5. Diboll - 70 Central Pollok - 63
  6. Bush and Martin combined for 60 of Silsbee's 75 points. Both had 30.
  7. Kirbyville 18 Hardin 33
  8. Hopefully they are at full squad Friday night. I am coming up there for their game with Coldspring.
  9. Is there a Diboll score?
  10. Neither United nor Memorial can play a warm up game. Both will have played their max of 21 games plus 3 tourneys when district is over. They can only play a seed or play in game and that certainly will not happen with PAM.
  11. GCM 61 Baytown Lee 54
  12. Garrison 47 Shelbyville 54
  13. Broaddus 80, Colmesneil 27
  14. Ball High 57, Santa Fe 35
  15. Jasper 60 Center 54
  16. North Shore 63 LaPorte 42
  17. Timpson 45, Martinsville 22
  18. Hemphill 78, Corrigan 62
  19. West Brook 58 CE King 24
  20. I predict 22-4A to go 3-1. Huffman will win their game against whoever is the 4 seed. I have seen every team in district 21-4A play except Splendora. I just don't see Livingston, Shepherd, Liberty or Tarkington beating Silsbee, HJ, LCM, WO-S, Lumberton or Hamshire-Fannett. I mean Tarkington just recently (within the last month) lost to Lumberton who is currently sitting 5th in 22-4A. 21-4A is 6-11 against teams from district 21-4A this season. Huffman has 4 of those wins (Shepherd and Liberty have 1 each). None of the teams have played Silsbee and none of the wins are against HJ. As for the berth to regionals, I'll take Silsbee and HJ over Huffman. Not a toss up.
  21. At H-F, sticking with that one. They may have played their best game against Silsbee, but what happened to them against a WO-S team who just lost to BC? Lumberton has lost 4 of their last 6 games so one could say they are not playing better now than they were several games ago.
  22. Thanks. Will make the correction. And it will.
  23. Oops. Glad you caught that. Suppose to be Shepherd -4
