I work for a large corporation. If I go to my boss, or for that matter if any employee of that boss does, with an ALLEGED impropriety and my boss doesn't act on it that makes the boss just as liable as the guilty party. If Flanigan went to BISD about this issue and they didn't act then I'm pretty sure they are as liable as Flanigan. Coach made a mistake that he tried to justify because his superiors didn't act upon the theft allegation. Both are at fault.

Cuero like WO-S has a good defense. Not giving up many points and should handle Navarro easily.Cuero is such a rich tradition team.Always wanted to play them sense we moved down and got our chance last year. They did not disappoint. They deserve another crack at us.Cuero.....just kind of rolls off the tongue.lol
Cuero is a neat, pretty little town. My wife and I were there back in September; purchased a travel trailer. Of course at the heart of the town is the football stadium which rivals any other town of their size in the state. I liken it to Carthage's field. It always amazes me how much the small towns in Texas put into their high school football teams...no where else in the U.S.

OK everybody, who you got and what do you know? Winner of this game gets winner of WOS vs. Giddings. Last year, Cuero gave WOS the best game of the post season, IMO. Perennial state powerhouse, tradition to rival WOS.

Therein lies the difference between a couple of good years every so often and a full program. That is what Vidor and Lumberton are trying to get to but haven't so far. Even with graduation you don't see big drop offs at WOS , Ned , or PNG or PAM.
I don't believe Vidor's fall off after the 2012 season was the kids. We had a pretty good crew led by Sage Smith in 2013. We played everyone tight that year. The problem was Jeff losing Dwayne Dubois among other coaches and having to rebuild his staff. Neumann loses what Jeff did from his coaching staff and he would have a couple of lean years, I promise you.

They have a new high school stadium......I think. SFA no longer allows high school games and Nac is just a really good middle ground between north and south and also a really nice town. I always liked when we went to Nac but I have never been to the high school stadium.
Yeah, I'm a big Nacogdoches fan too. Trying to convince my wife to move there when we retire.

I didnt think about the 4-2-5. That might be better than my 3-3-5 idea. Hmmm.
I agree with this somewhat. I've never been a big fan of 3 down unless you have that beast nose guard who can tie up at least two offensive linemen. Old school 4-3-4, man to man coverage, spy on Perez IMO. Selective run blitz by my linebackers.

La Vega beat Argyle by 2 points last year, Celina beat Argyle handily and WOS beat Celina so I beg to differ
Again, we're back to the who beat who and by how much theory which rarely works. I saw both teams last year in the state championships and it would have been a great game. PAM beat PNG who beat us and then we beat PAM and that's why there are three district champs in 22-5A this year. It ain't the pros, it's high school kids.

* Is their RB..... English is difficult lol. Anways, it seems like this offense is really tough to slow down. I bet they score 21+ the rest of the way.
They are a disciplined, complete football team. Not an easy win for anyone...the best 5A team I've seen this year with the exception of Manvel (Div 1). Make them pass the football. Offensively, play like the Cowboys. Possession time / control the clock. PNG could not run the football against this team due to injuries.

I appreciate yalls opinions. I would watch the CS hudl and see highlights but they are locked. I can only go to other teams sites and see the CS lowlights lol. I was talking to someone on a different site and said it might not be a bad idea to play a 3-4(Aledo is a 4-3 team) and have our fastest LB spy the QB. Or even play a 3-3-5 and have a DB spy him. Idk, anything to make him beat us with his arm. Is there RB a homerun threat?
Absolutely! He took it to the house twice on long runs against PNG. Your defense needs to stay very disciplined and stay in their lanes and with their assignments. Both Perez and #47 can take it to the end zone on you...very fast.
-
Y'all don't forget that La Vega is Div 1. I included them for that reason...they would have given WOS a hell of a game last year. I saw both finals and both teams would have been very evenly matched.
-
No game to see here...move along. Now, the semi finals are a different matter. I'm looking very much forward to a Mustangs vs. Gobblers rematch! Navarro Geronimo isn't bad but Cuero should handle them. Let's play the semifinals at TEXAN DRIVE!!!

One other thing about CS; they are very fast and very fit....seems they didn't run out of gas no matter what PNG threw at them.
-
From what I saw, I would do my best to take away the run and make Perez throw the ball. Man coverage and seven in the box. He and that #47 running back are dual threats...you can't key on one. The best thing about CS defensively was the Dline; they tied PNG up all night and Johnson could not get anything working. Seems to me they were willing to give up the deep ball (and did) to keep him contained. Very well coached and disciplined.

Smack talk already starting and we haven't finished this football season. Sheesh.

Since the good old days of youth football, RJ and team have yet to lose a game against any District challenger. PAM broke that this season, but they were the better team that night. The two classes of players behind RJ have crazy talent coming up. If you think that your freshman team of players will get you to the promise land, well think again. Those boys are good, but we are just that much better.
My wager stands, make it light on yourself. You won't win the district four years in a row. I run the scoreboard in Vidor, BTW. Your crazy freshman talent lost to our crazy freshman talent.

Not saying Westfield wasn't the better team but I have to believe that Coach Flannagin being suspended had to have a huge negative effect on those children.

Also a Leckelt.
Part of the freshman class I speak of isn't he?

BTW, we still have one more Quirante left.

Quirante and Leckelt gone right? And you still think what you think? Lol
Yes, we have some good kids coming up including the FASTEST Vidor team ever (yes, you heard me say that), this year's freshman class. What did y'all have us ranked this year, right outside the playoffs? How about district champs...let's see how it all plays out. I like our chances with a stable coaching staff which we didn't have after the 2012 playoff season losing Dubois and some other coaches. I'm not handing district championships out to anybody. My part of that wager stands pat.
