1. Just saw 'em loading up a truck at Vidor's Market Basket with BBQ crow, headed to Baytown.
 2.

pleez win bh!
Are u a Vidor fan? why do we need BH to win?
I don't believe VP05 is a Pirate fan. Why would anyone from this area root against Ozen? This is all soooooo storybook. 19-4A is getting taken to the woodshed.....
 3. Congratulations Bears! Looking forward to our first time meeting. Get ready for four quarters.....
 4. You mean to tell me the Pear Orchard is beatin' down the ant hill???  ???
 5. From what I've read about the Bears, a Vidor - Montgomery football game will be VERY entertaining. Don't think we've ever played each other before. BrenhamFan, what sort of offense do they run and who should we look out for? You probably have enough information about the Pirates by now.
 6. AggiesAreWe, you gonna pick against my Pirates again this week??? And, how can those standings be final once Ozen clobbers Ant Hill tomorrow night??? Please, just a little love..... Wow, did I call Ozen over BH or what!! Really, your top three teams should read: PAM, NED and VIDOR!!! I don't think Coldspring can hang with any of us. Actually, I don't think they could hang with any good 4A team much less a 5A team. Ya'll are a little over the top with this one.
 7. Where is Galena Park's stadium? I have to work in Baytown all next week. Leaving from there to see my Pirates.
 8.
It was great to see the Pirates start things off the right way for our district...a big congrats from Nederland. I was glad I could be there to witness history be made for Vidor, and I wasn't the only one as there was a lot of support from around the district. That being said, who will be back at Provost-Umphrey to see if the 'Dogs can keep the district rolling? I'll be there +4 Also, it should be noted that a group of us plan to attend the PNG game on Saturday so don't feel left out Indians  ;)
There wil be plenty of support from the Pirates tomorrow night. We want a rematch in two weeks for the Region III championship! Go Dogs!!!
 9. You know tupac7, I just want to forget that whole affair. I'm really proud of the Vidor community and the changes we've made. I'm also just as proud of our area and how the kids from Ozen and Central as well as their parents and friends who have helped and supported us to get rid of the stupidity of our parents and grandparents. The demographics of Vidor have changed so dramatically; when Matt passed away it crushed the entire city. Could you have even imagined something like that 30 years ago? Thanks for your comments.
 10.

you guys have d1 talent where as vidor probably does not. Call it like you want. They were out COACHED, out played, out everything, not to mention the stupid personal fouls which should have resulted in an ejection. Don't have a dog in this fight, I just call them like I see them...Keeping it real...Word...Out
That QB is a d1 talent, hes a beast.
Yeah, I agree. If Montana stays healthy, I believe he'll play D1 ball somewhere. He's a junior so we get him for another year along with most of this Pirate team. I never was really worried about losing Smallwood for tonight; he was the backup before Bolinger got hurt. We have several tailbacks that fit into the scheme. Montana just runs the offense really well, he's the key. Having said that, ya'll might get another shot at us next year....
 11.

OK, last post for the night. However, I'm really enjoying this....a very long time coming. 1. Jeff Mathews and the Vidor coaching staff. Great game plan and those kids were prepared to play that game. Controlled the clock and controlled the game. Kept the twins on the sideline. Anybody attempting to hire any of our coaching staff will be met with a volley from our deer rifles (there's one in every pickup). 2. Our Offensive Line. We only gave up like 30+ lbs. per man but our execution was flawless. They have been the unsung heroes of this season. Remind me of PNG from the 70s. 3. Crosby's defensive coordinator. ??? 4. Heart. We flat out played them. They didn't lose the game, we won it. We CREATED the turnovers and frustrated the heck out of their offense. Blitzing that quarterback was the right call. Our defense has stepped up all season and refused to quit. There is no doubt those Walter kids can flat out play but our kids wanted this way more. 5. Finally and most importantly, the fans of Southeast Texas. There was 6000+ (?) on our side and it was crazy!!! In my wildest dreams I would have never expected this. The Crosby side may have had 200 max. I believe there were more Dayton fans there than Cougars. I'm sorry, but this is a playoff game and it's less than an hour's drive from here, I do it all the time. I really felt sorry for their kids. No one will be able to explain to me how you can't support your team especially if you have a child on the field. I know my Pirates felt the electricity in the air and it motivated them to play their best. Thank you again SE Texas.
I agree with you doesn't seem that biased at all. 1-3. Honestly the loss of 47 destroyed the gameplan and they didn't adjust at half time. We had well over 200 fans that's a huge stadium, but it wasn't the normal showing mainly because a huge core of our fans work shift work, and can't go watch a football game on a Thursday night, unless they have a kid. Also don't kid yourself you had a ton of 19-4a on your side as well, tons of blue on your side of the crowd, plenty of purple. And nederland in black. It's easy to say "why didn't you travel?" but it was a Thursday night at 7:30 with an hour car trip home, i highly doubt Vidor would have had a third of the crowd they did if we would have played this game in Deerpark
Cougtalk, all B.S. aside, those twins can flat out play. You should be extremely happy to have those kids for two more years. They just didn't get to see the field that much and none of us on our side of the field understood why ya'lls defensive coordinator didn't adjust. He played a defense for the spread and let us run the football? Anyway, thanks for being a sport about the game. Sat with liltex tonight from Dayton and he was a treat.
 12.
Yeah, you're probably right, kinda hard for me to unwind/sleep after a game  like tonight though
Tim, I can't sleep either. That was the finest game of football I've ever seen Vidor play and I've been watching them play for a long, long time. This bunch of kids are special and most of them are back next year. Jeff's program is finally coming to fruition.

 14.
Well let's see, Vidor was predicted to place 7th in an 8 team district, so they weren't predicted to go anywhere.  When they punched a playoff ticket..it was one and done.  Now I imagine it will be two and through.
Tim, I believe the 19-4A posters have gone to bed for the night. If I were them, I would be really nervous about this weekends games. 0 - 4 after all that smack talk wouldn't look very good....
 15.
Ask any of the ozen, central, or even me a memorial titan about the good people in vidor. They took it personal, and it showed tonight.
Yes tupac, we did. We consider Ozen and Central our brothers; both teams pray togethor after every contest. Perhaps we can get a little something going with Memorial in the future?? We keep looking for teams to play pre-district. I don't think Texarkana wants us anymore....thanks for the props.

 17. Another bunch of clowns who can't pick their way out of a wet paper bag....
 18.
Um preview show at Depot in Big Ned if Png & Ned wins.  Lol
Gotta correct you Mr. Garrity. WHEN Big Ned and the Tribe win. Throw Ozen in this smackdown on 19-4A as well.
 19. The Ant Hill better get ready for the Ozen Panthers. There were several in the stands tonight and they have a lot of momentum going into tomorrow's game. I'm warning ya'll, they have a bunch of talent that's gelling at the right time....
 20. #28 was with us there tonight as well. I'm sure heaven is rockin' with his cheers!!!!
 21.

Congrads to the Vidor Pirates who gave 110% effort tonight.Great game plan by Vidor coaching staff constantly making ajustments.Crowd was loud and packed and met some great setx posters.I thought turnovers would decide the outcome and Crosby had 2 while da Pirates played a near perfect game.Pressuring the young soph qb and making him thrown on the run into dbl coverage for a Vidor int.and turn it into 7 points to lead @half.Vidor kicks off and Crosby special teams player picks up the kick w/defenders in his face and the ball pops loose,Vidor takes it in later to go up by 14.Magic # now @28 points taking Crosby out of rythum.Surprized to see Crosby not making defensive adjustments and sticking w/front 3 and not loading the box some.Vidor blitzed alot and Crosby couldn't adjust.I picked Crosby in a real close game that I missed on my pic-ems.Just proves you cannot pic against Heart and Vidor proved beyond expectations they wanted this game and enjoy the moment, keep on believing in your season.Pleasure was all mine tonight, great team, spirit, and fans ;)
I didn't get to meet you.  But I saw you there.  Thanks for coming.  It was a great night!
Pleasure sitting with you liltex. You do know your football!
 22. I saw fans from every 20-4A school in the area and you were there cheering every play!!! Heck, there were even some from Ned and PNG trying to sing the LaPray version of the Pirate fight song. Lots of support from the other schools in our area as well. Good luck to all and I hope to attend as many games as possible. Proud to be Vidorian and extremely proud of our area. There are no better high school football fans anywhere in the state. From an old Pirate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now...
