Let's talk real...... Forget the BS a few are spewing..... 6a to 5a is a huge difference... I promise PAM is loaded with athletes... If things fall right and Xbox leaves for a play station... It could get good... I can see PAM being the class of the region quickly.. This is nothing but a positive for the district... You play to your competition... Now I'm sure a few will get on and throw some stats out that mean absolutely nothing but to themselves... But get ready folks, this could be awesome.. It also will make the non playoff teams decide if they want to run real offenses or stick with the slot or variation of it.. Makes for a dogfight for the top 4..... It's going to be tough to slide in behind the 3 regulars.. Add PAM and it's really hard... The only team that could be hurt is Nederland because of boundaries.. They stand to lose a few players yearly if PAM is playing at a high level... So throw out some stats and say it ain't so.. But I KNOW... I'm not looking at a computer screen with blinders on... Real life, is if PAM puts themselves in the right position, they can be real good... Time will tell... If everyone is playing xbox after Christmas then maybe it won't happen, but if the Xbox breaks , it could get real... The initials TD ring a bell????? Yeah, that's real... He wants 2 feeder schools and athletes.... Yep... That's real... PAM, PNG, Nederland, Central, I like that as a top 4...... Everyone else better buckle up....

good point. i've said the same thing. TC can take  them and just have a 3a high school and name them Texas City Coogs. it doesn't make since to take 2600 students and bring them to TC schools. leave them at the current school, rehire, and rename.

like getting other kids to participate in football? 

I would imagine the travel cost are a lot cheaper if they stay in the local 5A district. They would definitely be a 4A powerhouse though.  

okay guys, i hear alot of excuses. i'll use my team for the PERFECT example. since it's opening, PAM has produced many D1 prospects and even a couple of NFL players. BRAND NEW FACILITIES!!! probably the best field house in the area. PAM have the luxury of getting ALL middle school talent and a chance to implement it's program on the lower levels, since all the coaches work together. IMO, there was NO REASON FOR PAM TO FINISH 1ST OR 2ND IN DISTRICT!!! there is no reason for the great defensive players of PAM history, to have a defense EVERY YEAR THAT GET TRUCKED FOR 200 YARDS ON THE GROUND!!! i know we are not coaches. but J.C., if it's obvious to us i know it's obvious to other teams that you will just hand it off to the RB because your son can't run or he looks at one WR. i'm not saying PAM should be at state every year. i'm saying as a fan, 5th or better and 4th rd on a rebuilding year! right now, do fundraisers to send our offensive lineman to a camp!! if you know they are lacking in experience DO SOMETHING!! yeah, it does fall on the kids to WANT IT, but as a coach, you got to motivate them!! coaches should go to some colleges like a&m or go see what tom at u of h is doing and maybe implement that in your program. as an area, i know everyone says there is no industry, nobody wants to live here. i get that. when i look at ALL teams in the area and see all this size, speed and strength OMG!!! it's not like we have 5'7 fat slow lineman in the area. all the talk about coaches can only do what they have to work with is something they have brain washed you with over the years. sorry bulldogs, but neumann have yall drinking the JJ kool aid too. yes, ya'll make the playoffs very consistent...2-3 rds. you guys cheer and are pretty content with that and he's thinking, welp got the boys in the playoffs, that's all that matters, the community is happy, i'm getting paid, life is good. Facilities, training, money all contribute to area teams struggling, especially at the 6a/5a level. This area is 20 years behind the times on all the above. Just take a trip about 5 hours northwest of here; or you can take a trip bout 4-5 hours due north of here. Do that and you'll see what I'm talking about. Majority of the schools up that way have college type facilities(indoor, weight room, etc.)

after lincoln closed, suggs was the last great coach that was in the district. i hear old heads that state after coach joe washington son's left lincoln, the program went down in a hurry. it didn't get it's swagger back until he finally left and coach williams took over. suggs improved on what coach williams built(thanks dick williams for the lone WOS victory!!) PAM had the chance since day one to be a true power house. problem was/is too many " we going to do it the tj, lincoln, or sfa way", instead of the MEMORIAL way. needing someone from the outside. outside means from far west and north. don't need none of the home grown boys.

Thats what i was talking about. All of a sudden they finally turned the corner and then bye bye. Kinda sad. Shaunderrick(sp?) was one of the best players to play in Lincoln for a while. Also, over the years I was at WOS, Coach T would tell us in the locker room that Lincoln hands down had the most talent/arguably best players in the area, just not good coaching. I guess it frusturated him seeing all that talent on the field and getting blown away every game. Then Lincoln gets a serious coach, they start winning.

gonna say this. being a 7 footer in h.s. might intimidate fans, but not REAL COACHES AND PLAYERS. my senior year in high school, my good friend and neighborhood playmate, Solomon Jones took it to the 7 footer Friendswood had in the playoffs...fouled and was pissed. and lets be honest, when perkins was at ozen, he was not impressive to me. his teammate kenna younger was far better. at 6' 10, he played in h.s, just like in the pro's. BIG SORRY!! he should have avg 20+ points 15reb a game and he struggled against nederland and pn-g(this was before nederland was good and PA players still went to lincoln) so i say lets see if big man is aggressive and dominant or is he "built like tarzan, but play like jane".

i bet Ozen beats them once in district.

i agree with buddy. if this kid is not starting next year, heads should roll!!! with the new changes, again, like buddy said, these boys need someone to teach them technique and MOST important, someone who KNOWS where to put people. no more of i know your momma or daddy so you will play DE when the back up is 10x better crap!! after watching his video, makes me sick to my stomach!! this kid obviously was/is better than his son. Kadon actually plays a better back up roll in that he can manage the game.
