NOPE!!!  for some reason, the show bands got 3's...corp. style got 1's for the most part.

i guess the judges don't like show bands....cause they ALL got a 3. That's all i'm gonna say about that.

The point total vs. Sterling would not come into play. They only use the points in the games played between the three teams.
All I am saying is some districts use points to break three way then go head to head.
Last year it was a three way for final spot. After breaking tie, there was no need to go to head to head.
But this district may use points throughout and not just to break three way. May use it on remaining two teams. In that case, United is out.

Let’s just focus on week 1 that’s it that’s all for now folks

Kids leaving the program is a first I heard of that one… both freshman and JV football teams will be District Champs… tons of sophomores on varsity getting some serious minutes… I find it very hard to believe that kids are leaving the program… in fact a few kids came back into the program… 

Next year will say a lot about the program.. 17 starters returning so they should show major improvements.. inexperience won’t be an excuse next year 

They had a very good season last year.
People who instantly blame the coaches every time something goes wrong show their ignorance regarding athletics. 
Most nights they are outmanned athletically, success isn’t always linear  Let’s give the guy a 4 year window to see a freshman class through before we claim he  isn’t doing anything

PAM’s best team since 2011? Oh, the payback possibilities for taking advantage of a beat up LP who had just been in a war with Katy that LP only won because it was windy on the Katy possessions.

I would swap Baytown Sterling for west Brook. Westbrook has the more favorable schedule and they beat sterling already. Sterling lost 2 and haven’t played PAM yet

Lufkin will have a stream at this site and I believe PAM ISD will too. I would suggest checking out the Lufkin stream for some over the top humor with our guys that call the game. You will either love it or hate it. But it will be anything than boring.

There will be a major overhaul of districts in this region due to enrollment changes and I have focussed on the 2 districts which we now call 9-5A an 11-5A. District 10 will probably stay pretty much the same as well as disrict 12 which is out of our area. I have come up with a mock realignment for these two districts although at this point we don't know what the cutoffs will be and I just projected what the adm's would be. I made a few assumptions, one that Angleton and Barbers Hill will not survive in 5A and will become 6A. Another that The UIL will not do another major rescrambling like they did in 2024 bringing some Houston area teams back from Region 2. I tried to arrange the teams into a district 11 that has a west/south of Houston orientation and district 9 that has an east/north of Housto orientation. Some of these might surprise some people, especially Lamar Consolidated ISD totals which have changed fairly drastically because of the opening this fall of Tomas HS with 3 grades. Tomas will also be a 5A but even after you apply the 1.33 multiplier should still be a D2 school.

You may have different ideas of how it should be done or may not agree with how I have classified a certain school. Let's hear your ideas.
 
 

No doubt Atascocita has found itself on the ropes and knocked down on a few occasions. North Shore stumbled out of the gate leading many to think the long awaited downfall had come.
But since that loss the Mustangs have bounced back in to form and steam rolled the competition. This rivalry is more than just Atascocita and North, but North Shore and Craig Stump going back to his time at West Brook..

PAM is the only 9-5A team that has clinched a spot winning 4 straight district games. Everyone else has lost ateast 1 game. Lufkin is the lone team with one L, hoping that changes next week to 2 L’s. PAM vs Lufkin is for the championship for PAM. A Lufkin win puts us in a tie, with PAM owning the tie breaker assuming they win out. They get the tie breaker because they beat barbers hill and Lufkin lost to them and we hold the point spread. I think I’m right. 

I was going to update it but it wont let me edit. So I'll update it when I make an overall update next week. 

Based on rivalries, district championships and playoff implications, here is a list of some big and important games for this week, Week 9:

La Porte at Crosby           Both teams undefeated in district play, a win keeps each in district championship position
Lake Creek at Huntsville     Winner has the inside track to the 3rd spot and possibly 2nd.

LC-M at Bridge City       District championship on the line, winner stays undefeated
Silsbee at WO-S            Same as LC-M/BC, 
Shepherd at Jasper        Winner gets a playoff spot, loser most likely out
Hardin at Anahuac         Hardin trying to solidify their district championship hopes, Anahuac trying to improve their playoff position
Anderson-Shiro at Kountze     Winner gets a playoff spot
Deweyville at West Hardin        Winner gets 3rd, loser most likely 4th

Tie breaker scenarios rarely work in Port Arthur Memorial favor in football. I rather it not come to that. 

If Lufkin beats PAM and then both win out, then they would be tied with just one loss. Lufkin would be #1 seed based on their head to head win over PAM.

I waited until this morning because i didn't want to post anything last night because of emotions....Let me add a little something that i found out looking at the posts on this forum while the game was going on, We (Bruins) for the first 24 minutes had people believing that this game could be where David slew Goliath (didn't happen) ....PAM defense stymied the offense and the WB defense stayed on the field wayyy to long...Now on to the BU Timberwolves is what we should be focused on...Correct me if i'm wrong (and i know someone will) if we (Bruins) win the next 3 games we will get a playoff spot...that is the goal right now....I'm through...see y'all Friday night @ the Beaumont Bowl....GO BRUINS 

On a postitive note, PA's much maligned secondary had a good night.  No deep balls and 3 picks.  Killed a lot of drives with their improved play
