Only if you have a district championship type team player wise, if you don’t then you need to stay healthy going into district if you don’t have depth. If you play tough teams and your guys start dropping then by district you are in a bind. 

Well… to beat and define the odds and a very rare thing but the Gordon Longhorns that play 6 man football have 3 D1 seniors on their roster this year…

Man them kids looked confused all game on defense, very different from last week. It'll get fixed. 

I got Hightower winning. Not giving a score, but i say 14+. We can't cover ANYBODY that actually have a qb. These guys gonna chirp and get in our heads and that leads to bone headed penalties. I don't think you gonna "out athlete" this week. Hightower can play on BOTH sides of the ball. After this game, i feel they will be ok till BH.

I said it. Next week is the litmus test. When a good defense shows up my lil cuz will be in trouble

If you had a child and was moving to a district during the summer and your kid wanted to play football, he should be allowed to play. My case is slightly different as i have a daughter and tryouts was held before the school year was out. YES! i feel if she makes the team, she should have till a certain date, call it May 31st to enroll to the school.  Anyone with common sense shouldn't pull their kid from school with a month or two left to be eligible  to participate in extra curricular like cheerleading or dance. I feel certain rules should apply for certain activities. 
If the kid thats the topic of this situation, say wanted to go to Memorial. He could easily join the band and nobody will say squat. But he couldn't play football?? that's why the rules need to be for ALL extracurricular. Football like it or not, generate money for local businesses and school districts. that same kid comes to PAM and lets pretend he's the #1 rb in the country, PAISD about to blow up cause now you have the likes of ESPN looking at your city and all D1 coaches. all that turns into dollars one way or another.

UIL rules on transfers stink. if a parent wants their child to play at a different school, they should be allowed transfer immediately with the exception of no in season moves. No more sitting out a year garbage. Everyone wants school choice until it comes down to football. why would you want someone who doesn't want to be there? Parents move their kids for academics all the time. They don't make the kid sit out a year. So what if the move was for athletic purposes. If athletics is part of the school curriculum then parents should be able to put their kid in the best possible spot without any say so from the former school. This has got to stop. 

It would be interesting to see how few actually live in Sabine Pass vs how many come in through the open enrollment door. Sabine Pass is really an Industrial area, like downtown PA. It may have changed but, i don't think there's any place to get gas after dark? It's not setup to support the town folk. It's all about industry.

SOC is right next to Lancaster, DeSoto and Duncanville, really good talent that may not get the same playing time in 6A, they just move in and compete well in 5A DII. As everyone else has stated, that's been going on in DFW a long time.  UIL can't keep up with any of it.

Greg Tepper just blew off Lufkin after Stepp made a comment about them. Tepper just smiled and didn't say a single word before jumping on the PAM bandwagon. Which I agree should be head and shoulders above the rest of 9-5A.
Tepper remembers giving Lufkin big props in 2018 and 2019 with some high rankings only for Lufkin to bow out in the 2nd round and 1st round at home respectively those years.  Tepp has never been the same about Lufkin, doesn't matter they have new Coach Abseck. Tepp is not a fan, Stepp knows more about East Texas football.

I disagree, respectfully. When you compete or versus, it's a winner and loser. now, in this situation, it doesn't count on your record. Think of it as you getting the brakes beat off you in an alley, but no one saw it or vice versa. I will say this. If the scrimmage is played like a traditional scrimmage, then yes, no winners or losers. Or even like they do in the nfl, "practice together", there is no winner. Soon as you make it "game like" with no kicking, there is a winner.

That game is Week 7 and that's when I'll be attending HF at Silsbee. It's Silsbee's Homecoming.
Otherwise, I would probably attend that one.

My other choices for that week are these:
West Brook at PAM
Jasper at HF
Lumberton at Vidor
 
I chose BH/United because other than PAM, I will have seen all the other teams. (scrimmage/games)

Memorial is back to the numbers when they first opened or close to it. 150members this year.
I guess not many BOTB competitions  in Texas due to HISD and surrounding schools numbers are down or they just choose not to??  PAM and WOS i think would/can take any school west of the triangle. PAM can be the large school champ and WOS can easily take the small school. i say small school for them cause memorial is bigger.

My thought also but Eugene also a very good RB. 

Better late than never. OK you're right about that. He brought that with him. We had a drum cadence in the 90s called Zodiac. Thought that's what u reefered to. They don't play any of our old head traditions anymore.
Lincoln was the most fun game for us in the band. We loved watching them have fun out there. They'd almost "make love" to their drums.

We ran into a guy in Natchitoches in the hotel this past weekend.  He stopped and asked “does that PNG on your shirt stand for Port Neches?”  
we said yes it does and he ended up telling us he “hated our guts” lol and that he graduated from Port Arthur Lincoln.
