Armani Douglas is an excellent back for the Dogs as well. He rarely comes off the field. Roccaforte and Hiltz had some carries, too.

Props to Crosby. This was a very hard hitting game. I wasn’t completely comfortable until we got up 3 scores because Crosby is big and fast.
Great job by the Dogs putting up so many points without our top 2 offensive weapons and without our QB the whole 2nd half. This is a TEAM that gets things done. We limp into MCM next week as banged up as ever, but I still have faith. Great job by the WRs, QBs , and especially the freshman RB who ran hard all night. Defense did a great job as well and Barrow opened up the playbook in the first half. MCM should be a great game!

Just don’t be so surprised that the one trick pony leaves the hill just a little frustrated with the second loss of the season. The multi-talented Barbers Hill is just priming up for the upset. But it will be a slug fest. Good luck PNG.
Ned played without their top TWO RBs for most of the game and without the starting QB in 2nd half. It was a rough night injury wise.

Ned passing game looks good with both stud RB’s out due to injury. This is a very resilient team. 35 points in a half without the top 2 weapons. Not too shabby!

My guess is that number is supposed to be 294.8...

Barbers Hill has allowed 594.8 total yards per game, and PNG (360.9 per game allowed) went for 452 in last Friday’s 47-19 win over Santa Fe.
Per Panews.

Can’t win em both? Based on what? They are doing nothing by getting better. Time will tell.
We normally win both. What’s different this year?!

This will be far from an easy game for the Dogs. Buckle your chin straps, boys! Vidor is always ready when the Dogs come to town! This game will be decided by 10 points or less!

Could be wrong but, Rez Ipsa seems like an Injun fan......
Since the Nederland offense is lucky and so bad and only plays bad teams, can we get some stats on the vaunted Indians defense that is obviously really unlucky and good and only plays elite district offenses?

Blaysin first complete game was the Dayton game. Offense clicking on all cylinders . Plus I wouldn’t say Dayton is bottom feeder team they nearly beat PNG last week. They are probably the states best winless team imo.
Blaysin did not play the whole game vs Dayton. We were up 35-0 at the half and the starters were out with 5 minutes left in the 3rd...

Mutt and Jeff’s was good. We went last time we played there. Is it still open?

Well, one grass field in Vidor & one swamp in Nederland.
Been a while since y’all won in “the swamp.” I’d make fun of it, too.

This will be a tough game. It always is. Vidor is not an easy place to play and the Pirates always bring it against the Dogs.

Looks like it will be Mid County district championship game for the Freshman.
Both schools have good freshman groups. Ned has 4 freshman on varsity. Ned has a ton of Sophs on Varsity as well so it’s a down year for the JV.

Folks Dayton will be back just like we here at PNG there are lean times that come around. Then one day your sitting at home a buddy calls and says hey man have you heard about the 8 th grader on the football team? You say no. He says man they have been smoking everyone all year. This one kid is a super stud. Next thing there is excitement in the community. A couple of years later you smoke through district and a nice run of playoff runs roll through. Dayton I promise you the DNA is there it will come back around and I predict not far down the road. Hold your heads up and lean on a stellar 20 years run that not to many could match up to. Good luck my purple brothers and sisters
The problem in Dayton isn’t the Jimmy’s and Joe’s in my opinion...

After watching Barbers Hill and Santa Fe in person, this game is interesting because Barbers Hill is better than Santa Fe and Santa Fe gave the Pirates fits. Also factor in that Santa Fe doesn’t have much run game while Barbers Hill does. Barbers Hill throws it as good or better than Santa Fe does, too. This will be a tough road game for the Pirates.

Dayton fans... How do you feel Nederland stacks up with the rest of the teams y’all have played?
-
Most complete game the Dogs have played all season in my opinion. The O Line was dominant, both RBs both had great games, both QBs played well, and several of the WRs had nice games as well. The defense was stifling in the first half and Barrow was very classy in pulling the starters after the first drive in the 3Q. The future is extremely bright in Nederland. Four freshman on the roster and all four played A LOT last night. I cannot believe that two of the biggest kids on the team, #72 and #79 are freshmen!! Keep it going Dogs!
As for Dayton... the talent is there on offense for sure. The QB is the real deal and has a rocket arm and some athletic WRs. They have two good RBs and I won’t be surprised when the Broncos start winning some games. No consolation I am sure, but they do not resemble an 0-6 team one bit on offense. The defense is definitely the Achilles heel though. Ned did pretty much anything they wanted all night long on offense. Good luck to Dayton the rest of the way.
Keep it going, Dogs! I like what I see!

We are likely without our top TWO RBs so there’s that... I think it’ll be another CLASSIC!
