I remember a few years back some was saying Dayton didn't have a chance at Bulldog stadium and we know how that turned out.  With that being said I'm going with the underdogs once again.

Nobody said y’all don’t have a chance. I just don’t understand the optimism going on the road against an undefeated team and saying you are gonna win by 17 when you are winless. If I lose that bet, then I will gladly pay.

You done lost yo mind, i think we played the coogs with intensity and when we meet the bulldogs that intensity is gonna carry on. Lost by 15 Friday and i doubt the bulldogs would only lose by 2 to the coogs. Broncos will win this matchup, not sure if it’ll be 14 or 17, but one of those two.

What’s the max wager I can get on Nederland +14 And Nederland +17? I’m looking to retire early...

  3. Santa Fe has a QB with a strong arm. They throw a lot of short passes. Not much of a run game from what I saw vs. Ned. The defense is ok. It was a very muddy game when I saw them so I’m not sure what they look like in good weather. Game was chippy against Ned so I’d figure it’ll be that way against Vidor as well. Give me the Pirates by 21.

There’s no denying that the Hill has had Big Ned’s number recently. The games have been close and hard fought, but BH has won. Ned has been a slow starting( sometimes 0-3 or 1-3) team the last 5-10 years though and those have been predistrict games. They normally get things rolling and are formidable mid year and end of year. The Dogs are off to a fast 4-0 start this year. This will be an interesting matchup and I won’t be surprised either way. BH is a well coached team and Nederland is a scrappy TEAM FIRST(lots of kids contributing) type of approach without superstars. Should be a great game!

  7. I don’t know where all this “can’t throw downfield crap” is coming from, but I remember a lot of deep throws last year to Latulas. Both of our QBs are doing a fine job when they are out there. I’m just happy that we have two very capable signal callers with different styles, three very capable underclassmem RBs with different styles, and a bevy of WRs. I agree with everyone though that a Latulas type WR is what we are missing most this season. The defense has been the most pleasant surprise to me so far! The starters have given up 7 to WO-S, and that was a 30 yard drive and 7 to BU. The other 7 that BU scored was on the 2nd strong D. Fun team to watch! Let’s quit trying to stir up a QB controversy! There’s been years where we’ve had NO QBs! Let’s embrace the fact that we have TWO guys that can get the job done.

Loss of lewis hurts, but u have 3 other legit DB returners leading the defense & all equally can be called best players on defense led by 3 year starting all state  DB Landon Hiltz, #2  Adam Roccaforte, #4 Brycen Grusecki arguably the best secondary in the area,  #9 Hunter Sonnier & #71 desean somersall have also stepped up huge leading D-line & #25 Jordan Huckabay & #33 Crowder Brown are making plays at LB. #11 Blaysin Fernandez play & leadership can’t be topped by anyone, this senior class is athletic & talented been winniing at every sport since 6 yrs old together.  Best statement made is Nederland is a team that plays together & for each other & wins games, no one on the team cares about being superstars

Yup! Love that we have so many guys stepping up and playing very well! Truly a TEAM concept this season! These Dogs are a lot of fun to watch!
