stevenash got a reaction from Ty Cobb in Not far from the truth
A Biker is sitting on his Harley, drinking a beer, by the Zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, “Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.

The Harley rider replies, “Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.”

The reporter says, “Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?”

The biker replies "I'm a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I’m voting for Trump.

    "The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

“U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH”

    And

THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days!

Moderna Corp announced this morning some very favorable results regarding antibodies for the corona virus.   The tests were done on a relatively small group and more testing will be needed.   I am suggesting that if more positivity comes about from additional testing, the left and the mainstream media ( actually one in the same) will initiate a campaign to either discredit the drug  or plant the seed of doubt in peoples minds about its safety and efficacy.   It will be no different than the hydroxychloriquine study.  They discredited it and made people think that they could die from it and it had no impact on the virus.   The drug has been around 50 years, is cheap and obviously pretty safe or would not be around that long.  Even CNN recently indicated that the drug was an effective treatment when used properly and at the right time.

Would you care to compose a list of capitalism failures and socialism/communist failures and see which list is considerably longer?  In what countries are minorities experiencing a better life than they are in the United States? ( Hint- everyone trying to get into this country is not because it is a bad place)  If you do not condone rioting and looting, why would you tell me that in order to be respected to you, I must talk about that "fairly"?  Is there anything fair/justifiable in rioting and looting?  ( Sorry, but I don't believe that the "cause is so noble that anything goes")  Was Ferguson, MIssouri a case of police brutality or a case of certain folks trying to advance an agenda with faulty information?   I would also suggest you needn't lecture me(via poorly veiled condescension) on my ability to grasp concepts.

Please show me a city, town, or country where there are no bad police.  In fact, please show me any industry or occupation located anywhere in the world where there are no bad actors.  Have no desire for the respect of anyone who believes that their viewpoint, and ONLY their viewpoint is valid/credible while all that disagree are somehow less worthy as human beings.  While you are responding to this, please show me the virtues of socialism in Cuba and Venezuela.   Are there any bad actors in law enforcement in those countries?

In 1996, Bill  Clinton visited during his re-election campaign.  ABC News called it a place where American ingenuity and American creativity came together and formed an amazing American accomplishment.

In 2008, when Barrack Obama campaigned there, CNN called Mt. Rushmore a majestic site and every president should visit it.

In 2016, Bernie Sanders campaigned there and said he was humbled to be in the presence of 4 of the greatest American presidents.  CNN described the scene as awe inspiring

In 2020, Trump visits......CNN called at a celebration of white supremacy and Trump will stand before two former slave owners on land wrestled away from Native Americans.

    No agendas here, right?

A young couple moved into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the washing outside.
"That laundry is not very clean; she doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."
Her husband looked on, remaining silent.
Every time her neighbor hung her washing out to dry, the young woman made the same comments.
A month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, "Look, she’s finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
The husband replied, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."
And so it is with life… What we see when watching others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look.
So don’t be too quick to judge others, especially if your perspective of life is clouded by anger, jealousy, negativity or unfulfilled desires.
