Silsbee and HJ gets hard road to Regionals
I 'm with Michael Jordan on this one...You cannot argue with rings... 8)...No, but seriously, I am saying that Bosha is a really good player that needs to do a few things over the summer to elevate his game if he wants to take it to the next level...Bottom line.
If you are with Jordan, then Bill Russell is the greatest player to ever step on a basketball court. I am confident that Mr. Bosha will continue to improve. -

What is unacceptable is the way you speak of these kids & their community. I have sat back & listened to enough negative bull from you "girl" and whoever else signs off on these negative comments. Inner city kids win a ball game, now character, grades & everything else is brought to the carpet. Even critical of the graduates whom have gone on to college to better themselves. If no one else tells you I will. BACK OFF!! These kids & their community deserve better. I was taught if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. I grew up on the west side of Port Arthur and attended Abraham Lincoln H S & we whipped up on people. All that was ever said was how nothing good comes out of our school. We were ridiculed often. My question is,how many times do these kids have to turn the other cheek? Walk away be the better man when they are being confronted by adults many times. This must stop & will stop because winning will do the fighting for these kids & their community. One thing I know these kids have is pride & heart, 2 key elements the kids in the "hood" possess. Put that together with talent & you crybaby fans & wimpy "I'm taking my ball & going home" ball players don't stand a chance. Even if it was the best 4 out of 7. I hope & pray you mean spirited people on here refrain from any further negative posts, because Yates players & fans may read this & the game result may get out of hand quickly. In just a few words LOL. Mighty Bumblebees PS By the way the Bees will be in the building @ state tournament '88 Champs being honored. Be there next year also, back to back Champs FYI. Lions players & fans, if anyone understands, The Mighty Bumblebees do.
Soooooooooo True. They do this (especially SteveNash) because they cannot talk matchups, strategy, strengths, exploitable opportunities or common opponents wher the facts come anywhere near a glimmer of hope IN HOOPS. That's why they do this. The few who do this get the facts pointed out and then fall back on but-I-love-my-boys comments. Last resort on a hoops forum when TOTALLY outgunned. Something Silsbee and ESPECIALLY HJ are not used to.
Please elaborate. Please show me where I have said anything negative about any of the Yates players or coaches.( The only thing I have stated about the team many times is that they acquire their players in a different manner than most everyone against whom they compete) Furthermore, what is it exactly that makes you so much better qualified to "talk matchups, strategy, exploitable opportunities or common opponents? -

I am telling you that as a junior, Bosha is a better shooter than Brandon was as a junior. As I said before, I am quite conversant with shooting and you and I are NOT in different "leagues" when it comes to that aspect of the game.
If they BOTH can shoot it, then how did you determine that Bosha was a BETTER shooter? Brandon was a better overall player as a junior, and had the hardware to back that. He was a key part to that state championship team. Do you actually think Bosha was BETTER as a junior? I don't. With that said, I think Bosha has GREAT upside. Length and skill...He has that.
Having hardware is not a big determinant for what we are discussing. Though I can't prove it,I would also venture to guess that defenses concentrated on Bosha more than they did on Chapelle. -

Either Blue Dove is blind or he has never attended a HJ game. Wow!!!!! ;)
Sorry, but Bosha is not the complete package...Good player, but he has a few areas to improve upon...The fact that he did not lead his team to at LEAST a SECOND place finish IN 3A, tells a tale. Were you at the HJ and Coldspring game? Were you there when the police had to come and escort a group of HJ fans who were sitting on the Coldspring side and they were about to fight? Yeah, you know the ones that know how to act. Were you there?
I dont recall claiming to know the ones that know how to act. Yes, I was there. I did not see what you are describing. Were you sitting close enough to know how what you are describing began? If so, let me know. None of this alters what I saw. Two opposing fans mouthing is one thing- A spectator trash talking to players on the bench DURING THE GAME and then telling the coach "what to do with himself" is QUITE ANOTHER. Nice try but there is no way to justify what I saw. -
When HJ played Coldspring (immediately following the HJ-Yates girls game) several Yates fans were leaving while the boys game was in its final few minutes. As they "disrespectfully" walked in front of the HJ bench (yes, with the game still going) they began telling the HJ players on that bench how much trouble they were going to be in when they played Yates. One of the HJ coaches got up and told them to go on and get away from the bench and he was promptly told by one of those(who never "takes it any further than that") what to do with himself. Saw this same "gentleman" at the boys game last Thursday. Sorry, but this type of "enthusiasm" and/or "passion" is not justifiable or acceptable under any circumstance. -

Silsbee is talented and they have speed also. They can crash the boards also. In the 4th quarter against Kashemere, they had their way with the Rams. Seems like it will be a great game for sure. These 3A schools are having to literally compete with a team that could likely win the region in 4A this year...Silsbee is talented and tough, but they have ZERO chance against Yates. Thats just the truth. They may even play with them for a half or so, but Yates wears much bigger teams down, and they have size that rivals some small colleges...They are not gpoing to be scared of them, but reality will set at some point in that game and it will be over...Likely 20+...Deep down, the Silsbee faithful knows what it is... ;)
U think you know everything, shut ur trap sometimes are go get a degree and become a coach so Silsbee can smash your team .. I think it is important to give Yates every advantage they can get. Downgrade them to 3-a so they can win in football. If that doesnt work, maybe we can make them 3a in basketball and 1-a in football. THe impact on other schools is irrelevant. The important thing is to make Yates a winner regardless of the impact on everyone else. I have a feeling that the swimming program will have to go down to -3a to have a shot though.
