They are a really GOOD 3A squad that could LIKELY win region 3 in 4A as well...Its not worship, its just common sense...And furthermore as far as the negotiating goes, those of you that have never coached before have NO CLUE how it really works...Its a BIG part of the playoff process...You DO NOT want to play in a venue that your opponent has played in and you have not, IF you can help it...Playoff games are different...BUT..I will be on here all day trying to explain to some of you, so nevermind.... ::) ::)
You don't have to explain anything. I am not saying Silsbee is going to beat JY, they have to beat Kashmere to get that chance. You come here and constantly belittle teams that you claim that are not worthy of even being on the floor with Yates. I know that you do it just to get everybody's jocks in a knot, but Dang DV!!! Enough is enough!!
Well just accept it!  :D...BLUEDOVE and I have BEEN telling all you this since last year's re-alignment, but NO ONE believed us! You will all  learn very soon! Ask Hardin Jefferson....They will tell you! ;)
I will never accept the fact that you a "supposed" coach would come on a message board and belittle certain teams.
No sir, not "supposed" that is what I am...I come on here for fun and laughs with friends in my down time...I am not above talking hoops with my friends along with some other people who happen to know very little about what is actually going on, but I try to educate when I can... :D
remember Dickie- try harder
I knew if I kept plugging enough on "cross-country" I'd pull you out of the suntan parlor and respond. ;)
No suntan parlor for me.  Am talking to a father in Australia who is contemplating moving to Sour Lake.  Needless to say, I was explaining to him some of the advantages of doing so.

 8.
I'm not saying HJ is a recruiting school, Im saying its the same for Yates. If my son is a good basketball player and I move to Houston and I want my son in a good program we're going to Yates. Does that make them a recruiting school. And the kid that left HJ would of held HJ  back. I coached him this summer.
Doesnt matter if he would have held them back.  YOUR point was about kids coming to HJ from Beaumont REGARDLESS of whether or not they contributed to basketball and I gave you a reverse example.  And if you HONESTLY believe there is the slightest similarity between who comes to Yates to play and who comes to hJ to play, your elevator does not go all the way to the top.
Unless they reconstruct the bracket, the first and third place teams from y'all's district won't see regionals.. Very much unfair, but it is what it is.. Fight for second if you want play in the playoffs longer
Doesnt really matter- To get to Austin, you very likely have to go through Yates whether its the first, second, third, etc round of the playoffs
Contributed or not kids have left Beaumont schools and went to HJ. aM i right or wrong??
Sure, there are Beaumont kids  at HJ but DJ was the only one in the basketball program and your inference that this somehow makes HJ a recruiter of basketball players is totally wrong. Additionally, there is a 6'7": post man who left the HJ program for Beaumont after last season.
 11.
At the end of the day ppl sound bitter when they claim schools recruit...it didn't help Yates last yr when they lost in the state game..so who cares...lace up your shoes go out and play...get better at the game and stop the complaining...that's why kids can't compete anymore because ppl cry about what the other team is doin so their already defeated before the game is played...quit puttin your kids at a disadvantage with the negative thoughts..you can only control what your players do...bottom line is when you win everything else is forgotten .
While that all sounds very noble, the theory holds that all teams competing with each other ought to be adhering to the same rules.

These days the kashmere gardens area is lucky that Kashmee High School hasn't been closed down.  I hate to say that, but it's true.
HELLO!! EXCUSE ME? I started my career at Kashmere coaching under my father. My dad arrived there from Madison in 1996, and retired in 2007...from 96-07, Kashmere won district 7 out of those 11 years, won 20 or more games EVERY year, made the playoffs EVERY year, and made four regional tourney appearances...SINCE my dad retired...ONE PLAYOFF APPEARANCE in 2013...By the way, when I coached there in 1997-2000, Kashmere was an ACADEMICALLY EXEMPLARY campus...Yes it has really changed since those days, but I was apart of a MAJOR turn around in that program...We actually were #1 in the state in the 1998-1999 season, the year we lost to PA Lincoln in the regional....On another note, I was the freshman coach as a rookie, and my teams went 33-1, 32-0, & 34-0, winning three city championships along the way, before I left to go to Ozen....Just thought I would throw that in there!  ;D ;D
DV- You are NOT trying harder, as I previously suggested.

 18.
I already know the outcome, yall just provide us with the scores and a little game analysis.
Yates wins 133-18.  All starters had triple doubles and a new player who just enrolled last month had 41 in his first effort at his third school in three years.  HJ finished the game with three players on the floor as the other 12 all fouled out.  If they hadnt played such a weak schedule and had done more sport specific workouts, the score would have been 133-21.

 25.
Yates is being groomed for a run at the mythical shoe company National title in 2014. Tney are young and awaiting the marketable implant that they can trot all over the country beginning next fall. The implant for all practical purposes is in place. This didn't just start. You can trace back the roots of this as far back as Willowridge. Dallas Lincoln, with Bosh and that talented group, went on to a perfect record. They defeated Ozen and won the mythical National title. They were also the first Dallas school with a Nike contract.  Milby followed by winning the Academy National Invitational, which was stacked with the Oak Hill's of the world, then the state title and near the top of the national pack. It has moved on to Marcus and next will be Yates. If the plan is to knock off Yates, better to do it now. Yates will be dominant until the powers deem that they move on somewhere else.
Does Yates offer its players competitive contracts?
