Dude, let it go. It's a bad look for you.
bitter about what Soulja? I'm just realistic 20-4A is just a WEAK district Central MAY make it but coaching will probably end of getting them in the end.
Yeah your bitter. Bitter that your team got beat by Ned and central. Bitter that Ozen isn't paying the refs enough to buy a dc. Yeah your definitely bitter. Just like little old Dickie.
Didn't Ozen beat central and nederland this year? So why would I be bitter about that? And are you insinuating that Ozen used to buy DC championships in the past? Its not bitter its called being a REALIST...I make a prediction and I'm bitter WOW you do know my prediction included Ozen right?
And how is it that you are qualified to evaluate the relative strngth/weakness of each district. How many different teams in how many different districts have you seen play this year? If you havent watched at least three or four in a district, you are not qualified to pass judgement on the competency of a district.
I think you have to include Johnson, even though he is not on the team currently.
Bottom line is HJ returns 3 starters from last nights game and if Johnson had played, it would still be 3 starters returning
Correct. But we both know there is quite a difference in Johnson and Stevens.
Doesnt matter- neither Johnson or Stevens is returning and Stevens was a starter only in Johnsons absence- I was referring to the fact that HJ returns three starters from this years team. Mitchell, Mayes, and Zjori Bosha.

You beat HJ by 5-6 tonight and one of their starters was moved up to varsity, two others failed and two others were at the regional swimming meet. And HJ 9th spank your 9th grade team. HJ only loses Harmon off of the current team that plays significant minutes. HJ will be fine, and will compete with Silsbee just fine. I predict an HJ win next year....in fact guarantee it!!!!
Hurry, Hurry!!!! Zeek needs the smelly salt so he can wake up.
The only one who may need smelly salt is one who thinks he can make 10 year predictions for high school basketball.

Not much to talk about. Silsbee is the overwhelming favorite.

Yet, they have a fragile self-esteem and cannot handle criticism, and will often try to compensate for this inner fragility by belittling or disparaging others in an attempt to validate their own self-worth. Santa,- Why dont you go ahead and retire now? Live the good life and what you have accumulated and when it runs out, the Prez will take care of you.

Trying to tell a group of people (either directly or by less than discreet inference) that your knowledge and experience is so amazingly superior that they are not worthy of conversing with you is the wrong way to approach things. The day will come (hopefully) when you will realize that there are a lot of smart people in this world and NOBODY has a lock on superior intelligence. In my particular line of business, I have often been presented with a case (considerabaly more convincing than yours) that some individual is far superior to everyone else only to have the markets make a fool of him. Humility can be a very attractive trait.
Humility has never been my issue....I am often a target on here because I refuse to bite my tongue on certain issues, and I will not let you people discredit what I or anybody affiliated with me has done in the basketball community....especially by people who quite honestly, do not know very much and are just rabid fans..I am being humble just conversing with some of you on here.....Thats all. 8)
Not true at all. Nobody has discredited you and/or your "associates". Many feel you over state your case and you fail to realize that the opinions of others are every bit as valid as yours. You say you are a target but if you are it is only because YOU MAKE yourself a target. Whenever a subject comes up that involves praise for someone in the basketball community, you manage to "suggest" that " yeah, thats pretty good, but it can't compare to what I or someone I know has done." The worst one today took place when you tried to suggest that many of the well respected coaches werent really as worthy as some claimed because they didnt play certain teams in the old days. That has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with whether a coach was a great coach or not. Also to suggest somehow that someone who is in 3-a has less coaching capabilities than someone in 4-a or 5-a is truly laughable. And, for the record, there are a number of weak teams in ALL CLASSIFICATIONS rather than just in the smaller ones.

The OBVIOUS inference (as previously suggested in several other threads) is that there are many great coaches who will never win a title.
So let me get this right, are you saying that Brad Stevens is BETTER, although he has never won a title?
I am offering my opinion ( and I am smart enough to know it is ONLY my opinion and NOT GOSPEL) that what Mr. Stevens has done in recent years is a greater accomplishment than what Tubby has done in recent years and the fact that Stevens does not have a national title has no bearing on the comparison.
Would it be safe to mention that MOST 3A and below coaches are actually football coaches in disguise picking up an extra stipend check? So a really good coach SHOULD coach circles around most 3A opponents who are being coached by Offensive Coordinators from football? Not saying that this is the case here, but is it an accurate assessment of 3A and below coaching?
I would say that there is a good possibility that your "disguise" theory partially accurate. But that wont wash at playoff time. My scenario suggested that two good teams with two good coaches from similar sized schools had to deal with the same difficulties that the two good teams with two good coaches from larger schools

I also understand that he has no exclusive or secret knowledge that isnt available or obtainable in the overall coaching market.
I agree with your take on Sutherland...I never said ANY of the above about either of these coaches as far as being the "Messiah" as you call it...But you giving excuses for Boutte's success are not going to fly with me because I KNOW better than that.
They are NOT excuses. They are examples of what Mr. Boutte had to work with. I want you to convince me that he would have achieved the same results if he had been at Dayton and Liberty instead of Lincoln and Ozen. ( I assume he would have done well but not nearly as well in win loss terms as he would at Lincoln and Ozen.) My original contention was that there are many great coaches who never win a title and I stand by that. I will also suggest to you that Brad Stevens has done a better coaching job in recent years than Tubby Smith has.
