1. Just like everything else, this stuff runs in cycles.  So, the next time Pt. Arthur has a good year or two, Dickie will be on here saying " I told you so".  I will now boldly predict that it is going to rain one day.  When it does, I will tell you how smart I am.
 2. I think this is the bottom line.  There are a few schools/fans that feel that basketball superiority is a sacred right that cannot/should not be challenged from anyone outside of the tight knit fraternity.  When an "outsider" approaches with reasonable credentials, they must come up with a reason for this "anomaly". Hence, open enrollment, weak schedules, illegal financial dealings, yada yada yada.  Interestingly enough, though, if anything such as the aforementioned is suggested for a school like Yates (part of that "frathernity") the wagons circle and the response is "you are jealous" and they adhere STRICTLY to all of the rules.
 3. I have much admiration for a man of convictions.  Am now waiting for the ultimate, primo, #1 prognositicator Soulja to counter your prediction.
 4. VIVA the Ned freshmen program!!!!!!!! 20-4A District Champs 2010-2012 Bi-District Champs 2010-2012 Area Champs 2010-2012 Regional Quarter Finalist 2010-2012 Regional Semi-Finalist 2011
Dont worry- Will have lots of free stuff-  that's the only way I may have a chance to get out of there alive

 7. If I show up for this game, do you think I can do so without being noticed?
 8.

Would someone please erect a sign directly behind the Ozen bench stating it is recommended that Central fans NOT choose this area for seating even though they might be allowed there for the JV game.
I noticed you said 'recomended'.  So, you want the seating behind the Ozen bench to be  optional for Central fans or mandatory for Ozen fans?  It spawns another question.  How can a Central fan be differentiated between an Ozen fan tonight?  ;)
The Ozen fans will be scowling and gritting their teeth.

 10. The rankings, in my opinion are correct.  Frankly, I am surprised that HJ is in the top 25 at this point
 11.
ozen has been knocking on the door each time. This is what these young men live to play for.(big game)I see Ozen coming out with the W in this one.  Playoff atmosphere gym will be packed before 6pm tip off of Girls game.
WIll the people selling tickets be reciting the seating policy to each person as they enter the gym?
 12.

We know about Ozen's shooters.  Ozen's only Chance is to get some kind of inside game going.  They will also need to control the boards.  A strong task for them.  We know about Hunter.  He'll get his, but will someone else step up?  I don't know.  Ozen thrives on forcing turnovers.  We need to not turn over the ball, make our free throws not allow there to be a dry spell in scoring.  bench play could be key. I have Central by 8
Yep, yall better make those free throws in bonus situations, or its a long night.
Cuts both ways
 13. So you were mad until they explained the situation?  Sounds like whatever they told you made some sense or you would have remained mad.  One or two people taking money and counting change are not going to be able to recite seating policy to everyone entering a gym.  I've been asked to move at least 20 times in various gymnasiums over the years and have yet to come across a situation where the authority making the request was badgering me or trying to make my life difficult.  If the rule was not enforced during the pre varsity games, there could have been a variety of reasons.  Perhaps there werent enough people in the gym to be concerned about potential problems.  Maybe all of the security personnel werent on duty until the varsity game.  Have you ever been driving 73 in a 70 mph zone and not get picked up but when you hit 76 someone stopped you.  It would seem to me that the authorities are given some lattitude about enforcing rules and at some point it becomes a judgement call.
 14.
Or it could be that they are actually the 3rd best team in that district....
We will know for sure when the district play is completed and , if not then, for sure if and when the district members are eliminated in the playoffs
 15. Perhaps that is not a permanent situation.  The Miami heat recently lost 5 out of 8 games.  Something hardly to be expected.
 16.
Coach English and his teams are doing fantastic. When other teams consider it a notch in their belt to defeat you, you have done your job. Funny, I didn't hear any complaints about seating during the closed door game between Ozen and Central a few years back. Oh yeah, the fans were not invited at all. Grumble...grumble.... Ah, the agendas.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 17.
At the end of the day Central won! Talk and post whatever you like but, you can't change that fact. For the second time this season.  ;D Use your dictionary to look up the word for a team that loses twice to another team! Lmbo
Interesting that you now say that the only important matter is the final score and yet you made several "contributions" to the other subject(s) you now declare as unimportant.  By the way, I recently was at the West Orange gym and found out I was sitting on the wrong side of the gym.  How did I find that out?  A black police officer approached me(caucasian) and told me that there was only one section avaiable for the visiting teams and I needed to be sitting there.  The resolution was really very simple.  I got up and walked to the aforementioned section without ever scowling at him or implying he was only doing this because I was a white guy.
 18. Let me see if I understand this thing properly and feel free to tell me if I dont- Nederland paid three referees to enforce all of the rules for all activities taking place on the basketball court.  Nederland paid some security personnel to enforce their rules for all activities surrounding the court.  If player A knocks down player B, the referee calls the appropriate foul and the penalty is applied for not following the rules.  ( it takes a referee to do that because they are more knowledgeable about the rules and spend the entire game enforcing them rather than playing too)  At the same time, if someone in the surrounding area (not on the basketball floor) is in violation of the rules, it would seem totally appropriate that the security personnel (hired folks just like the refs) step in and "call the foul" and correct the situation.  As for the situation regarding the father of Coach English wanting to sit behind his son while he coached, who has a problem with that?  Is it his father who "wants to go back to the sixties" or is it the individual trying to force "a return to the 60s" by taking a seat directly behind the opposing teams bench and lets get realistic here- the Ozen wasnt sitting directly behind the opposing teams bench so he could show how sportsmanlike he could be.  If Nederland has signs indicating where Nederland Fans and Central fans should sit, did he somehow interpret the signs to mean that he should sit directly behind the Nederland bench?  Some of you ought to try a little harder when attempting to make a point.  I further suspect that the seating rules for night  have more lattitude in them up until the varsity game because that game always has the most fans and the most emotions involved

They won by 20 or so. Don't remember score. 5 on 5 may know.
67-47 was the final in the freshman game. Ned was up by nearly 40 at one point. The second group played in the fourth quarter.
I wouldn't get too excited! Central has two freshmen on varsity and at least three other freshmen on JV.
I've seen the Central Freshmen on varisty and JV-  Nederland has a right to be excited
 20. And I will be here to discuss both the West Orange game and Silsbee game with you.  By the way, you mentioned Silsbee 30 point lead and the only reason they didnt maintain it was because HJ had a good quarter.  Therefore, without betting, it should be an easy prediction for you to say Silsbee by +20 since they play a tough schedule, are more athletics, and are part of the "big boys'.  Come on now, a man with your knowledge and expreince is bound to make that prediction because, after all, a five point victory suggests the teams are pretty similar.
 21. Lets just say that everyone has their convictions "to a point".  I am convinced that Stephen F. Austin will beat Duke in the NCAAs this year but not going to put any money on it.
I don't have to bet. When they lose to Silsbee AGAIN I will get the chance to say I told you so. 2 scorers won't beat Silsbee
Two scorers from Nederland beat Silsbee on their home floor.  You arent betting becaue you are not sure about whay you are saying.  No problem.  We both understand that talk is cheap

 24.

Since when does an 'athletic' team matter so much? U say Nederland is not athletic, yet Nederland has beaten MANY 'athletic' teams this year AND lost to about 5 'athletic' teams this year. HJ beat Central, Kountze, Longview, and Tatum, yet lost to Silsbee and WOS. Out of those 6 teams, they are 4-2. Any idea what is Silsbee's record this year against athletic teams?
Central blasted HJ this year. They got physical with Johnson and Bosha and the rest was history. Kountze and Tatum are 2a schools I think. you cant match a small town 2a to a big city 2a or a 4a school. Longview yall beat. Speaking about Nederland, they might not be athletic but they are physical, something HJ hasnt been this year. They have won with quickness and 30 foot 3 point shots. When that press doesn't work they tend to have trouble. And Nash the Silsbee was up by almost 30. A bad 4th quarter by Silsbee and a good shooting quarter by HJ got them back in the game. I will repeat HJ cant handle athletic and physical teams.
Bring it, dont sing it.  Make your bet on the upcoming HJ WOS game.  By the way, Silsbee was up by a similar amount last year in the first game before making a shot at the buzzer to win.  Hj won the rematch by 5.  What does that say about athleticism? SInce HJ cant handle athletic teams, you give me HJ and 5 points for the WOS game and I will give you 3 to 1 odds.  If you dont like that, we can just bet straight up.  Surely, someone as knowledgeable and confident as you are is willing to do this.  How much?
