Good analysis! I couldn't agree more...
Ozen has some D1 prospects on the team. I am sure one of them can gaurd him.  ::)  ::)
All Ozen needs is a player with a high defensive basketball IQ to guard Weisbrod. Simple process: Know his moves and take a couple of charges from him. If Ozen had Brandon Green, this game would be a a wrap.
Where is Brandon Green?  Does he know something about Weisbrod that the rest of the "basketball market" does not know.?  If somebody "knows his moves" does that mean he will be stopped?  Seems like everyone "knows" the moves of Carmelo, Kobe, and LeBron but I cant recall them being stopped.  If a player seems to almost always go to his right, would that mean that a defender who overplays the right might be giving up too much of the left?
B. Green has the size, speed, athleticism, and IQ to hang with Weisbrod. But, if Ozen can keep Weisbrod to 15 points, Ozen is still in the game. My (new)voodoo doll will take care of the rest  ;D
Then your prediction is an Ozen victory is Weisbrod scores 15 or less?  Do the other players for Nederland not matter?
 2. I heard ( but not from my connection) that the second HJ Silsbee game at Ford Park will be the conventional format
Dove, can we look for this youngster to move to Yates for academic advancement?
I read where he "reported" as a 8th grader he was going to attend Yates. Since he lived in Cy Fair district, he knew he would have too play JV if he attended Yates this year. ;)
He'll get there eventually thus adding to the "home grown talent"  Integrity abounds

 8. My guess is, that when all is said and done , and each of those players has completed their high school career, there are likely to be only a couple who will be playing at a d-1 school their freshman year.

I'm asking do they have the personnel to make it to Austin?
Anybody that answers that now is strictly guessing.  My guess is that anybody who wins their first couple of playoff games has personnel that would make it possible for them to get to Austin.  The preseason college football rankings showed Arkansas as a possible candidate for the National title ( and hence the personnel)and they did not even get to a bowl game.

 20. from the 2006-2007 season through the end of last year- not that hard to figure since each loss occurred either in HUNTSVILLE or AUSTIN
 21.
I think your schedule plays some into it. I prefer to watch Silsbee play teams like Nederland, Westbrook, Central, and Sherman Tourney vs playing in the Big Sandy Classic and Woodville tourney. Play teams that  can help you get better. Dont play in easy tourneys where you can beat everyone by 40! HJ plays quality teams too! Their tourney had Humble and a few other good schools. The East Chambers tourney was kind of easy for them though. IMO id like to see a local tourney with HJ,, Central, Silsbee, Nederland, Memorial, Ozen, Kountze, and West Orange. Mix  a few Houston schools and youll have something. Forget classifications. Letem hoop is a 3 day tourney. HJ is scared of YMBL!
Every game cannot be of playoff caliber.  Every team, including Silsbee and Central has some easy games.  HJ has played Nederland and Central as well as 5a Longview whom Central beat by 3 last week.  We all heard this same story last year.  It was about how much tougher the Silsbee schedule was and yet the two teams split their district games and lost to the same team in close games at the regionals.  Either the HJ schedule was not that soft or the Silsbee schedule was not that superior OR strength of schedule is not as important as some self appointed "experts" contend. Most of the time, the scheduling "experts" are running their mouths in order to try and convince someone (perhaps themselves) just how knowledgeable they are about the game.  They are NEVER as knowledgeable as those they criticize.
 22. i too am having fun.  Particularly wth the guy who said to call him when HJ won a state championship, which they have already done with their weak schedule.  Just cant understand why you wont acknowledge the 23-5 playoff record which is the best in the area.  You can't/wontacknowlege it because it documents the fact that the HJ staff knows so very much more about how to hande their team than you do.  It is a fact- deal with it-  Most NBA players lift weights but LeBron does Yoga instead.  Are you gonna tell me he would be better if he lifted weights?
 23. hj been playing same schedule for years- their playoff record speaks for itself- once again- the staff at HJ far better qualified to make scheduling decisions than posters on a message board
 24. Freeze- please contact coach K at Duke and tell him how his games against Georgia State, Florida Gulf Coast, Delaware, and Elon are not preparing his team for the playoffs
Yates?  According to you, HJ may not make the playoffs with weak schedule and Prudhomme gone and if they do, they will certainly lose before  getting to Yates.  Answer my question about Centrals schedule please.  Why arent they playing in a 5-a tourney in Houston or Dallas to get ready for playoffs?

Central has played in the two best tournaments in the area. Gamble and ymbl. Of course HJ go make the playoffs. Even though they might end up dplitting district with WOS. HJ was in a 2a tournament. Come on now
Central has not went out of the BMT area to play anybody its all been with in 5 miles off there school. They could have play in the Pasadena tour. where the big boys play.
apparently thats different.  HJ playing East Chambers is not acceptable but Central playing Lumberton before district is good playoff preparation.  Every school has difficult and easy games but to hear some on this board, they would have you believe that this only happens at HJ and that HJ somehow selects their opponents and brackets in the tournaments they enter.  All that matters is playoff performance and Freeze has yet to tell me why 23-5 in playoffs is not better than anyone else around here has done in recent years
