This is crazy. Silsbee will be playing a really good schedule. Plenty of chances to get noticed. Silsbee recruiting? Please. One player comes back to hometown to play Senior year and according to the experts another drops classification to a "smaller" country town to disappear into nothing. So that means we're recruiting and cheating. Whatever.

If so, then please accept my apology. This is easier to address than the previous wording. You can "fill" the QB spot, you can only hope that the next QB has success as well. Thomas' results were nothing short of spectacular. However, some on this site have said it was the weapons that Silsbee had that enabled him to be so successful. If this is so, then it shouldn't be an issue to replace Thomas. I for one think it was his ability to stretch the play and limit his mistakes that defined him.

so is this a question for Silsbee or you? It reads a little sarcastic.... Speak your mind. As a Silsbee Fan, I expect a deep run every year. Silsbee is pretty consistent in making three rounds.

Its definitely a different atmosphere watching the Freshman practice after school. Dust hasn't settled of course, still no idea about complete coaching staff at start of season. Lots of talent. Trust in the system and I believe these young men will grow together.

Another question.. Any rule against using a pitch count in Select instead of Innings? And if not, how many managers implement the pitch count to protect young arms? Also, I believe that you need to throw REGULARLY, not in amount of throws, but as a strength workout to build a strong arm.

Looks like really poor weather at the end of District is going to really cram some games into a two week period before Bi-District. Silsbee with an open day on the 22nd looks to benefit them on making up Tuesday with LC-M and also allows their staff to rest up and reset. Hows it look for everybody else? WOS looks to have toughest schedule, on paper, to close out District, playing district contenders for last 4 games. Not to mention seeding..... District still up for grabs!!! Lets hear it...

I wouldn't say BC played sloppy, just really over aggressive in a couple situations. The play where they tried to stretch a single into a double killed a run that prob would have won the game. Big play for Silsbee. Errors decided the game though. Like HotRod said above, Silsbee had them early, BC had them late.

Nelson with the 1 out suicide squeeze results in a wild pitch. Crazy game. Way to hang on Tigers after that rough 2ND inning. Both teams load the bases in the 8th, Silsbee gets the win.

Silsbee Track as a Team seems to be struggling. Is this recent? I am ashamed to say that I havent followed it as fas as SIlsbee is concerned. Silsbee has plenty of talent to compete.
