Little Cypress-Mauriceville 58 Silsbee 38/FINAL
Silsbee92 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
I think the message is that Silsbee is not giving all they have to not give it to yall. Carry over from Shadow Creek. It was hard to watch the quit that was taking place on the field. Stick by my guns that there is something wrong internally, though I have no idea what it might be. -

Silsbee next man up. Dralyn Taylor getting the bulk of the carries. Time to show the district what is coming up from Tiger Nation. -

Sounds like he has touched the ball every set of downs. Thats five or six touches already... -
Now why would that info go out before the game Santa... Key personnel were out last week healing from sickness and injuries. Had a couple more during Shadow Creek game. Last week was non-district. District is here now. Game on.

Silsbee will not be anywhere near 100% personnel wise. Lots of new faces last week. IF offense, and I do mean if, offense can find its rhythm early then Silsbee can control this game. If not, then defense will suffer drastically , no matter how well they have improved this year. Staying on field to long. Coach Smith and his offense is not known for big plays. Special teams wins this game in my opinion. Silsbee has elevated theirs this year. Wouldn't surprise me if 17+ points from special teams. Close one due to injuries and an always Scrappy LCM squad. 31 - 21 Silsbee

It will be a tell tale sign of Jasper's true strength against a hungry (5-1) Rusk team whose only loss comes from Malakoff. Dawgs better take it seriously.

PNG at home. By 14 Gonna be conservative and call it 35 -21. True test for Memorial.

Silsbee knows them well and if those Tigers can keep getting better each week then it might be another matchup.

I thought Silsbee limited WOS to big plays. Problem was...every big play allowed ended up in the end zone except one and it took prob fastest dude in state to keep that from happening. You have to stop them Everytime or it's to the house. It's tough to keep up that pace the whole game, one bad drive sets you back and then you press. Silsbee was in it until the above. One bad drive drained their momentum and WOS answered with a TD to put it 27-17. Fourth quarter is where Stangs put teams away. Mentally and then physically. They will have to pass more though than usual if Watson can't get the edge. If he does, lights out. Too good in open space. Defense can be scored on though, not as dominant as last couple years but still very good. I'm leaning 34-21 WOS. Believe it looks a lot like the Silsbee game. WOS didn't make too many mistakes. Gotta take advantage when they do. We didn't. -
Nothing?

Proved my point on both accounts.

Oh...one more thing. No matter what happens tomorrow night I'm going out on a limb with this here.... If it was a good result then it was with excellent planning and Superior play If it is a bad result then it was a mistake and the opponent got lucky. Synical I know. Guess we'll see.

Losing big? QB was the offense? No defense in the second half? It's easy to tell that very few commenting on this thread was at the Jasper game. Imagine this, there's a football game tomorrow night and it has nothing to do with the Silsbee @ Jasper.

Black AMERICAN's Perspective on National Athem
Silsbee92 replied to 5GallonBucket's topic in Political Forum
Beautiful thing about History... lots of it. United Kingdom and the whole world condoned slavery of all races, including Africa. No doubt that people from the continent of Africa have paid a heavy price in blood and sacrifice. Many forms of slavery, Just depends on what rock you lived on whether you were the slave. I can go all day on this topic but it will never be enough to extinguish the horror of slavery and murder. Brush up on your history. United Kingdom had slavery as well. Just hired (Fed and Clothed) anyone who would stand in front of their own Army. They were no better, so stop. Took thousands of years for other countries to even begin outlawing Slavery of any kind. Took this country less than 400 years dating back to Columbus. Less than a hundred years and one civil war after the founding fathers formed our constitution, probably because most citizens fled countries where they were oppressed and enslaved in some fashion. This country has made amendments to our bill of rights consistently compared to world history. Is it perfect, absolutely not, but it has proven time and time again to be the best option on this round ball of rock. If you build it, they will come to take it. This country will keep building if we stop tearing it down long enough to defend it for its beauty and freedom. -
Ill make sure he gets your advice.

Well dont accept the game next time.... or offer, if that is the case. If it has no benefit, then it must not be worth your time.

Its not new. Most just choose not to acknowledge that it has been said by Aggies over and over.

No debate. Just opinions. It will be a football game. Same as always, and I cant remember the last time any real drama came from our yearly contest. Except for the obvious tension two years ago that was settled on the field.
