Silsbee needs players to accept a leadership role. By that I mean this: Someone, anyone needs to bring this team back together. I see a fractured group when you look beyond the hype. It may not be there this year for many reasons and that will be a shame because at this time, with all the sad, heartbreaking events that are happening in this community, we need something to rally around. I think that if they look to someone who may not be the star stud, or even the upcoming one, then they just might find their identity again. Dig deep young men. Dont be afraid to step into a role, any role, that will bring this team and community together when it is needed most. Hallmark of champions is heart and desire. Let it out Tigers.

Though I tend to agree with the path to the death of true high school athletics that IMG presents. As a parent: It is their right to take advantage of any and all opportunities that can provide their child with a head start.
